Jeremiah 3
1 "They say, 'If a man puts away his wife, and she goes from him, and become another man's, will he return to her again?' Wouldn't that land be greatly polluted? But you have played the prostitute with many lovers; yet return again to me," says Jehovah.
कहते हैं कि 'अगर कोई मर्द अपनी बीवी को तलाक दे दे, और वह उसके यहाँ से जाकर किसी दूसरे मर्द की हो जाए, तो क्या वह पहला फिर उसके पास जाएगा?’ क्या वह ज़मीन बहुत नापाक न होगी? लेकिन तूने तो बहुत से यारों के साथ बदकारी की है; क्या अब भी तू मेरी तरफ़ फिरेगी? ख़ुदावन्द फ़रमाता है।
2 "Lift up your eyes to the bare heights, and see. Where have you not been lain with? You have sat for them by the ways, as an Arabian in the wilderness. You have polluted the land with your prostitution and with your wickedness.
पहाड़ों की तरफ़ अपनी आँखें उठा और देख! कौन सी जगह है जहाँ तूने बदकारी नहीं की? तू राह में उनके लिए इस तरह बैठी, जिस तरह वीराने में 'अरब। तूने अपनी बदकारी और शरारत से ज़मीन को नापाक किया।
3 Therefore the showers have been withheld, and there has been no latter rain; yet you have a prostitute's forehead, you refused to be ashamed.
इसलिए बारिश नहीं होती और आख़िरी बरसात नहीं हुई तेरी पेशानी फ़ाहिशा की है और तुझ को शर्म नहीं आती'।
4 Will you not from this time cry to me, 'My Father, you are the guide of my youth?'
क्या तू अब से मुझे पुकार कर न कहेगी, ऐ मेरे बाप, तू मेरी जवानी का रहबर था?
5 "'Will he retain his anger forever? Will he keep it to the end?' Look, you have spoken and have done evil things, and have had your way."
क्या उसका क़हर हमेशा रहेगा? क्या वह उसे हमेशा तक रख छोड़ेगा? देख, तू ऐसी बातें तो कह चुकी, लेकिन जहाँ तक तुझ से हो सका तूने बुरे काम किए।
6 Moreover, Jehovah said to me in the days of Josiah the king, "Have you seen that which backsliding Israel has done? She has gone up on every high mountain and under every green tree, and there has played the prostitute.
और यूसियाह बादशाह के दिनों में ख़ुदावन्द ने मुझसे फ़रमाया, क्या तूने देखा, नाफ़रमान इस्राईल ने क्या किया है? वह हर एक ऊँचे पहाड़ पर और हर एक हरे दरख़्त के नीचे गई, और वहाँ बदकारी की।
7 I said after she had done all these things, 'She will return to me;' but she did not return; and her treacherous sister Judah saw it.
और जब वह ये सब कुछ कर चुकी तो मैंने कहा, वह मेरी तरफ़ वापस आएगी; लेकिन वह न आई, और उसकी बेवफ़ा बहन यहूदाह ने ये हाल देखा।
8 She saw that for all the causes for which faithless Israel had committed adultery, I had put her away and given her a bill of divorce, yet treacherous Judah, her sister, did not fear; but she also went and played the prostitute.
फिर मैंने देखा कि जब फिरे हुए इस्राईल की ज़िनाकारी की वजह से मैंने उसको तलाक़ दे दिया, और उसे तलाक़नामा लिख दिया तो भी उसकी बेवफ़ा बहन यहूदाह न डरी; बल्कि उसने भी जाकर बदकारी की।
9 And it came to pass, through her casual prostitution, that the land was polluted, and she committed adultery with stone and wood.
और ऐसा हुआ कि उसने अपनी बदकारी की बुराई से ज़मीन को नापाक किया, और पत्थर और लकड़ी के साथ ज़िनाकारी की।
10 Yet for all this her treacherous sister, Judah, has not returned to me with her whole heart, but only in pretense," says Jehovah.
और ख़ुदावन्द फ़रमाता है कि बावजूद इस सब के उसकी बेवफ़ा बहन यहूदाह सच्चे दिल से मेरी तरफ़ न फिरी, बल्कि रियाकारी से।
11 Jehovah said to me, "Backsliding Israel has shown herself more righteous than treacherous Judah.
और ख़ुदावन्द ने मुझसे फ़रमाया, नाफ़रमान इस्राईल ने बेवफ़ा यहूदाह से ज़्यादा अपने आपको सच्चा साबित किया है।
12 Go, and proclaim these words toward the north, and say, 'Return, you backsliding Israel,' says Jehovah; 'I will not look in anger on you; for I am merciful,' says Jehovah. 'I will not keep anger forever.
जा और उत्तर की तरफ़ यह बात पुकारकर कह दे कि 'ख़ुदावन्द फ़रमाता है, ऐ नाफ़रमान इस्राईल, वापस आ; मैं तुझ पर क़हर की नज़र नहीं करूँगा क्यूँकि ख़ुदावन्द फ़रमाता है मैं रहीम हूँ मेरा क़हर हमेशा का नहीं।
13 Only acknowledge your iniquity, that you have transgressed against Jehovah your God, and have scattered your ways to the strangers under every green tree, and you have not obeyed my voice,'" says Jehovah.
सिर्फ़ अपनी बदकारी का इक़रार कर कि तू ख़ुदावन्द अपने ख़ुदा से 'आसी हो गई, और हर एक हरे दरख़्त के नीचे ग़ैरों के साथ इधर — उधर आवारा फिरी; ख़ुदावन्द फ़रमाता है, तुम मेरी आवाज़ के सुनने वाले न हुए।
14 "Return, backsliding children," says Jehovah; "for I am a husband to you. I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion.
ख़ुदावन्द फ़रमाता है, 'ऐ नाफ़रमान बच्चों, वापस आओ; क्यूँकि मैं ख़ुद तुम्हारा मालिक हूँ, और मैं तुम को हर एक शहर में से एक, और हर एक घराने में से दो लेकर सिय्यून में लाऊँगा।
15 I will give you shepherds according to my heart, who shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.
“और मैं तुम को अपने ख़ातिर ख़्वाह चरवाहे दूँगा, और वह तुम को समझदारी और 'अक़्लमन्दी से चराएँगे।
16 It shall come to pass, when you are multiplied and increased in the land, in those days," says Jehovah, "they shall say no more, 'The ark of the covenant of Jehovah.' neither shall it come to mind; neither shall they remember it; neither shall they miss it; neither shall it be made any more.
और यूँ होगा कि ख़ुदावन्द फ़रमाता है कि जब उन दिनों में तुम मुल्क में बढ़ोगे और बहुत होगे, तब वह फिर न कहेंगे कि 'ख़ुदावन्द के 'अहद का सन्दूक़'; उसका ख़याल भी कभी उनके दिल में न आएगा, वह हरगिज़ उसे याद न करेंगे और उसकी ज़ियारत को न जाएँगे, और उसकी मरम्मत न होगी।
17 At that time they shall call Jerusalem 'The throne of Jehovah;' and all the nations shall be gathered to it, to the name of Jehovah, to Jerusalem. Neither shall they walk any more after the stubbornness of their evil heart.
उस वक़्त येरूशलेम ख़ुदावन्द का तख़्त कहलाएगा, और उसमें या'नी येरूशलेम में, सब क़ौमें ख़ुदावन्द के नाम से जमा' होंगी; और वह फिर अपने बुरे दिल की सख़्ती की पैरवी न करेंगे।
18 In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I gave for an inheritance to your fathers.
उन दिनों में यहूदाह का घराना इस्राईल के घराने के साथ चलेगा, वह मिलकर उत्तर के मुल्क में से उस मुल्क में जिसे मैंने तुम्हारे बाप — दादा को मीरास में दिया, आएँगे।
19 "But I said, 'How I would put you among the children, and give you a pleasant land, the most beautiful inheritance of all the nations.' and I said, 'You shall call me "My Father," and shall not turn away from following me.'
'आह, मैंने तो कहा था, मैं तुझ को फ़र्ज़न्दों में शामिल करके ख़ुशनुमा मुल्क या'नी क़ौमों की नफ़ीस मीरास तुझे दूँगा; और तू मुझे बाप कह कर पुकारेगी, और तू फिर मुझसे न फिरेगी।
20 "Surely as a wife treacherously departs from her husband, so you have dealt treacherously with me, house of Israel," says Jehovah.
लेकिन ख़ुदावन्द फ़रमाता है, ऐ इस्राईल के घराने, जिस तरह बीवी बेवफ़ाई से अपने शौहर को छोड़ देती है, उसी तरह तूने मुझसे बेवफ़ाई की है।
21 A voice is heard on the bare heights, the weeping and the petitions of the children of Israel; because they have perverted their way, they have forgotten Jehovah their God.
पहाड़ों पर बनी — इस्राईल की गिरया — ओ — ज़ारी और मिन्नत की आवाज़ सुनाई देती है क्यूँकि उन्होंने अपनी राह टेढ़ी की और ख़ुदावन्द अपने ख़ुदा को भूल गए।
22 "Return, you backsliding children, I will heal your backsliding." "Look, we have come to you; for you are Jehovah our God.
'ऐ नाफ़रमान फ़र्ज़न्द वापस आओ मैं तुम्हारी नाफ़रमानी का चारा करूँगा। देख, हम तेरे पास आते हैं; क्यूँकि तू ही, ऐ ख़ुदावन्द, हमारा ख़ुदा है।
23 Truly the hills are a delusion, the tumult on the mountains. Truly the salvation of Israel is in Jehovah our God.
हक़ीक़त में टीलों और पहाड़ों पर के हुजूम से कुछ उम्मीद रखना बेफ़ायदा है। यक़ीनन ख़ुदावन्द हमारे ख़ुदा ही में इस्राईल की नजात है।
24 But the shameful thing has devoured the labor of our fathers from our youth, their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.
लेकिन इस रुस्वाई की वजह ने हमारी जवानी के वक़्त से हमारे बाप — दादा के माल को, और उनकी भेड़ों और उनके बैलों और उनके बेटे और बेटियों को निगल लिया है।
25 Let us lie down in our shame, and let our confusion cover us; for we have sinned against Jehovah our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even to this day. We have not obeyed the voice of Jehovah our God."
हम अपनी शर्म में लेटें और रुस्वाई हमको छिपा ले, क्यूँकि हम और हमारे बाप — दादा अपनी जवानी के वक़्त से आज तक ख़ुदावन्द अपने ख़ुदा के ख़ताकार हैं। और हम ख़ुदावन्द अपने ख़ुदा की आवाज़ के सुनने वाले नहीं हुए।”
