< Isaiah 64 >

1 Oh that you would tear the heavens, that you would come down, that the mountains might quake at your presence,
Ìwọ ìbá fa ọ̀run ya kí o sì sọ̀kalẹ̀ wá, tí àwọn òkè ńlá yóò fi wárìrì níwájú rẹ!
2 as when fire kindles the brushwood, and the fire causes the waters to boil; to make your name known to your adversaries, that the nations may tremble at your presence.
Gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìgbà tí iná mú ẹ̀ka igi jó tí ó sì mú kí omi ó hó, sọ̀kalẹ̀ wá kí orúkọ rẹ le di mí mọ̀ fún àwọn ọ̀tá rẹ kí o sì jẹ́ kí àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè kí ó wárìrì níwájú rẹ!
3 When you did awesome things which we did not look for, you came down, the mountains quaked at your presence.
Nítorí nígbà tí o bá ṣe àwọn ohun ẹ̀rù tí àwa kò nírètí, o sọ̀kalẹ̀ wá, àwọn òkè ńlá sì wárìrì níwájú rẹ̀.
4 Since ancient times no one has heard, and no ear has perceived, and no eye has seen a God besides you, who works for him who waits for him.
Láti ìgbà àtijọ́ kò sí ẹni tí ó gbọ́ rí kò sí etí kan tí ó gbọ́ ọ, kò sí ojú tí ó tí ì rí Ọlọ́run mìíràn lẹ́yìn rẹ, tí ó máa ń ṣe nǹkan lórúkọ àwọn tí ó dúró dè é.
5 You meet him who rejoices and works righteousness, those who remember you in your ways. Look, you were angry, and we sinned. We have been in sin for a long time; and shall we be saved?
Ìwọ a máa wá fún ìrànlọ́wọ́ àwọn tí wọn ń fi ayọ̀ ṣe ohun tó tọ́, tí ó rántí ọ̀nà rẹ. Ṣùgbọ́n nígbà tí a bẹ̀rẹ̀ sí dẹ́ṣẹ̀ sí wọn, inú bí ọ. Báwo ni a ó ṣe gbà wá là?
6 For we have all become as one who is unclean, and all our righteousness is as a polluted garment: and we all fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away.
Gbogbo wa ti dàbí ẹnìkan tí ó jẹ́ aláìmọ́, gbogbo òdodo wa sì dàbí èkísà ẹlẹ́gbin; gbogbo wa kákò bí ewé, àti bí afẹ́fẹ́, ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ wa ti gbá wa lọ kúrò.
7 There is none who calls on your name, who stirs up himself to take hold of you; for you have hidden your face from us, and have consumed us by means of our iniquities.
Ẹnikẹ́ni kò pe orúkọ rẹ tàbí kí ó gbìyànjú láti dì ẹ́ mú; nítorí ìwọ ti fi ojú rẹ pamọ́ fún wa ó sì jẹ́ kí àwa ṣòfò dànù nítorí àwọn ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ wa.
8 But now, Jehovah, you are our Father, and we are clay, and you are our potter; and we all are the work of your hands.
Síbẹ̀síbẹ̀, Olúwa, ìwọ ni Baba wa. Àwa ni amọ̀, ìwọ ni amọ̀kòkò; gbogbo wa jẹ́ iṣẹ́ ọwọ́ rẹ.
9 Do not be furious, Jehovah, neither remember iniquity forever: see, look, we beg you, we are all your people.
10 Your holy cities have become a wilderness, Zion has become like a wilderness, Jerusalem a desolation.
Àwọn ìlú mímọ́ rẹ ti di aṣálẹ̀; Sioni pàápàá di aṣálẹ̀, Jerusalẹmu di ahoro.
11 Our holy and our beautiful house, where our fathers praised you, is burned with fire; and all our pleasant places are laid waste.
Tẹmpili mímọ́ ológo wa, níbi tí àwọn baba wa ti yìn ọ́, ni a ti fi iná sun, àti ohun gbogbo tí í ṣe ìṣúra wa ti dahoro.
12 Will you refrain yourself for these things, Jehovah? Will you hold your peace, and afflict us very severely?
Lẹ́yìn gbogbo nǹkan wọ̀nyí, Olúwa, ìwọ ó ha sì tún fi ara rẹ pamọ́ bí? Ìwọ ó ha dákẹ́ kí o sì fìyà jẹ wá kọjá ààlà bí?
