< Isaiah 6 >
1 In the year that king Uzziah died, I also saw Jehovah sitting on a throne, high and lifted up; and his train filled the temple.
Le ƒe si me Fia Uzia ku la, mekpɔ Aƒetɔ la wònɔ fiazikpui nyui kɔkɔ aɖe dzi, eye eƒe awutoga yɔ gbedoxɔ la katã me.
2 Above him stood the seraphim. Each one had six wings. With two he covered his face. With two he covered his feet. With two he flew.
3 One called to another, and said, "Holy, holy, holy, is Jehovah of hosts. The whole earth is full of his glory."
Wodo ɣli ɖo ɖe wo nɔewo gbɔ be, “Kɔkɔe, kɔkɔe, kɔkɔe nye Yehowa, Dziƒoʋakɔwo ƒe Aƒetɔ la; anyigba blibo la katã yɔ fũu kple eƒe ŋutikɔkɔe.”
4 The foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who called, and the house was filled with smoke.
Woƒe gbe ƒe ɖiɖi na be ʋɔtrutiawo kple gbedoxɔ la ƒe agunu ʋuʋu, eye dzudzɔ yɔ gbedoxɔ la me taŋ.
5 Then I said, "Woe is me. For I am undone, because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for my eyes have seen the King, Jehovah of hosts."
Eye megblɔ be, “Alele! Evɔ nam azɔ, elabena nu vɔ̃ wɔla, nuyi makɔmakɔtɔ menye, eye mele dukɔ si ƒe nuyi mekɔ o, eye wonye vɔ̃wɔlawo la dome; evɔ la, metsɔ nye ŋkuwo kpɔ Fia, Yehowa, Dziƒoʋakɔwo ƒe Aƒetɔ la.”
6 Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar.
Kasia Serafiawo dometɔ ɖeka dzo yi ɖe vɔ̃samlekpui la gbɔ, eye wòtsɔ abɛ tsɔ dzoka xɔxɔ le vɔsamlekpui la dzi hedzo va gbɔnye.
7 He touched my mouth with it, and said, "Look, this has touched your lips; and your iniquity is taken away, and your sins forgiven."
Etsɔ dzoka xɔxɔ la tɔ nye nuyi hegblɔ be, “Kpɔ ɖa, woɖe wò vodadawo ɖa, eye wotsɔ wò nu vɔ̃wo ke wò, elabena dzoka sia ka wò nuyi ŋuti.”
8 I heard Jehovah's voice, saying, "Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?" Then I said, "Here I am. Send me."
Eye mese Aƒetɔ la ƒe gbe wòbia be, “Ame ka madɔ, eye ame ka ayi na mí?” Meɖo eŋu be, “Aƒetɔ, nyee nye esi, dɔm!”
9 And he said, "Go, and tell this people, 'In hearing you hear, but do not understand; and seeing you see, but do not perceive.'
Egblɔ nam be, “Yi nàgblɔ na ame siawo be, ‘Miaƒe towo ase nyawo, gake miase egɔme o. Miaƒe ŋkuwo akpɔ nu, gake miele si dze gee o.’
10 The heart of this people has grown dull, and their ears sluggish, and they have closed their eyes, otherwise they might see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and turn back, and I would heal them."
11 Then I said, "Jehovah, how long?" He answered, "Until cities are waste without inhabitant, and houses without man, and the land becomes utterly waste,
Eye megblɔ bena “Va se ɖe ɣe ka ɣi, O! Aƒetɔ?” Eɖo ŋu be, “Va se ɖe esime duwo katã zu aƒedo, eye ame aɖeke megale wo me o. Va se ɖe esime aƒewo katã naɖi gbɔlo, eye anyigba la katã nazu gbegbe.
12 and Jehovah has removed men far away, and the forsaken places are many in the midst of the land.
13 If there is a tenth left in it, that also will in turn be consumed: as a terebinth, and as an oak, whose stock remains when they are felled. The holy seed is its stock."
