< Isaiah 50 >
1 Thus says Jehovah, "Where is the bill of your mother's divorce, with which I have put her away? or which of my creditors is it to whom I have sold you? Look, for your iniquities were you sold, and for your transgressions was your mother put away.
Sei na Awurade seɛ: “Wo maame awaregyaeɛ ho adansedie nwoma a megyinaa so gyaa no ɛkwan no wɔ he? Anaa sɛ mʼadefirifoɔ mu hwan na metɔn wo maa noɔ? Wo bɔne enti na wɔtɔn wo; Wʼamumuyɛ enti na wɔpamoo wo maame.
2 Why, when I came, was there no man? When I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it can't redeem? or have I no power to deliver? Look, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stink, because there is no water, and die for thirst.
Mebaeɛ no, adɛn enti na na obiara nni hɔ? Mefrɛeɛ no, adɛn enti na obiara annye soɔ? Na me nsa yɛ tia dodo sɛ ɛbɛgye wo anaa? Menni ahoɔden a mede bɛgye wo anaa? Mede mʼanimka kakra bi ma ɛpo mu nsuo we, medane nsubɔntene anweatam emu mpataa porɔ ɛsiane nsuo a wɔnnya enti na osukɔm kumm wɔn.
3 I clothe the heavens with blackness, and I make sackcloth their covering."
Mede esum fira ɔsoro na mema ayitoma yɛ ne nkataho.”
4 Jehovah has given me the tongue of those who are taught, that I may know how to sustain with a word him who is weary: he wakens morning by morning, he wakens my ear to hear as those who are taught.
Asafo Awurade ama me nkyerɛkyerɛ tɛkrɛma sɛ ɛnka asɛm a ɛhyɛ ɔbrɛfoɔ den. Ɔnyane me anɔpa biara, na ɔbue mʼaso ma metie sɛ obi a ɔregye nkyerɛkyerɛ.
5 Jehovah has opened my ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away backward.
Otumfoɔ Awurade abue mʼaso na menyɛɛ otuatefoɔ; na mensanee mʼakyi.
6 I gave my back to those who strike, and my cheeks to those who tore out my beard; I did not cover my face from insults and spitting.
Mede mʼakyi maa wɔn a wɔboro me, na mede mʼafono maa wɔn a wɔtutu mʼabɔgyesɛ. Mamfa mʼanim ansie wɔn fɛdie ne ntasuteɛ ho.
7 But Jehovah will help me; therefore I have not been confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be disappointed.
Esiane sɛ, Asafo Awurade boa me enti, wɔrengu mʼanim ase. Enti na mayɛ mʼanim sɛ twerɛboɔ, na menim sɛ mʼanim rengu ase.
8 He is near who justifies me; who will bring charges against me? Let us stand up together: who is my adversary? Let him come near to me.
Deɛ ɔbu me bem no abɛn. Enti hwan na ɔbɛbɔ me kwaadu? Ɔmmra na yɛnhyia mu! Hwan na ɔbɔ me soboɔ? Ma ɔnka nsi mʼanim!
9 Look, Jehovah will help me; who is he who shall condemn me? Look, all they shall wax old as a garment, the moth shall eat them up.
Asafo Awurade na ɔboa me. Hwan ne deɛ ɔbɛbu me fɔ? Wɔn nyinaa bɛtete sɛ atadeɛ; nnweweboaa bɛwe wɔn.
10 Who is among you who fears Jehovah, who listens to the voice of his servant? He who walks in darkness, and has no light, let him trust in the name of Jehovah, and rely on his God.
Mo mu hwan na ɔsuro Awurade, na ɔdi ne ɔsomfoɔ asɛm so? Ma deɛ ɔnam esum mu, deɛ ɔnni hann no, ɔnnye Awurade din nni na ɔmfa ne ho nto ne Onyankopɔn so.
11 Look, all you who kindle a fire, who adorn yourselves with flaming arrows around yourselves; walk in the light of your fire, and among the flaming arrows that you have kindled. You shall have this of my hand; you shall lie down in sorrow.
Na afei, monhwɛ yie, mo a monante mo ankasa hann mu, mo a mode ogya a mo ankasa asɔ ka mo ho hye, Yei ne deɛ mobɛnya afiri me nsa mu; mobɛhwe ase adeda fam wɔ ɔyea mu.
