< Isaiah 50 >
1 Thus says Jehovah, "Where is the bill of your mother's divorce, with which I have put her away? or which of my creditors is it to whom I have sold you? Look, for your iniquities were you sold, and for your transgressions was your mother put away.
Ale Yehowa gblɔe nye esi, “Afi ka mia dada ƒe srɔ̃gbegbalẽ si metsɔ gbee la le? Alo ame siwo ŋu menyi fe le la dometɔ kae metsɔ mi dzra na? Miaƒe nu vɔ̃wo tae wotsɔ mi dzra ɖo. Miaƒe dzidadawo tae wonya mia dada ɖo.
2 Why, when I came, was there no man? When I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it can't redeem? or have I no power to deliver? Look, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stink, because there is no water, and die for thirst.
Nu ka ta esi meva la, ame aɖeke meli o? Nu ka ta esi meyɔ mi la, ame aɖeke metɔ o? Ɖe nye abɔ to ɖe me be mate ŋu aɖe mi oa? Ɖe ŋusẽ mele ŋunye be maxɔ na mi oa? Gbe ko meɖe, tete atsiaƒu mie. Mena tɔsisiwo zu gbegbe, eye lã siwo le wo me la ƒaƒã, elabena tsi mie le wo ŋu, eye tsikɔ wu wo woku.
3 I clothe the heavens with blackness, and I make sackcloth their covering."
Metsɔ viviti tsyɔ lilikpo ŋgɔ, eye mena akpanya zu edzitsyɔnu.”
4 Jehovah has given me the tongue of those who are taught, that I may know how to sustain with a word him who is weary: he wakens morning by morning, he wakens my ear to hear as those who are taught.
Aƒetɔ Yehowa tsɔ nufiala ƒe aɖe nam be manya nya si matsɔ ado ŋusẽ ame si gbɔdzɔ lae. Enyɔam ŋdi sia ŋdi. Eʋua nye to be mase nu abe ame si wole nu fiam la ene.

6 I gave my back to those who strike, and my cheeks to those who tore out my beard; I did not cover my face from insults and spitting.

10 Who is among you who fears Jehovah, who listens to the voice of his servant? He who walks in darkness, and has no light, let him trust in the name of Jehovah, and rely on his God.
Ame kae le mia dome si vɔ̃a Yehowa, eye wòwɔa eƒe dɔla ƒe nya dzi? Na ame si le viviti me zɔm, akaɖi mele esi o la naka ɖe Yehowa ƒe ŋkɔ dzi, eye wòaɖo ŋu ɖe eƒe Mawu la ŋuti.
11 Look, all you who kindle a fire, who adorn yourselves with flaming arrows around yourselves; walk in the light of your fire, and among the flaming arrows that you have kindled. You shall have this of my hand; you shall lie down in sorrow.
