< Isaiah 42 >
1 "Look, my servant I have chosen, my beloved in whom my soul delights. I have put my Spirit on him, and he will bring justice to the nations.
Intoy ty mpitoroko tohañako, ty jinoboko toe mahafale troke, le nakofòko ama’e ty troko ie ty hinday ty hatò amo kilakila’ ndatio.
2 He will not shout, nor raise his voice, nor cause it to be heard in the street.
Tsy hikoikoike re tsy hampipoña-peo, le tsy hampijanjiñe’e an-dalañey ty fiarañanaña’e;
3 He won't break a bruised reed. And he won't extinguish a dimly burning wick. He will faithfully bring justice.
tsy ho potora’e ty vinda pineke vaho tsy hakipe’e ty lamese miliriliry; hampiboaha’e ty hatò ami’ty figahiña’e.
4 He will not grow dim or be crushed, until he has established justice on the earth, and in his name the coastlands will hope."
Tsy ho toiran-dre, tsy ho demoke, ampara’ te najado’e an-tane atoy ty hatò; naho hitamà i Hake o olon-taneo.
5 Thus says God, Jehovah, he who created the heavens and stretched them out, he who spread out the earth and that which comes out of it, he who gives breath to its people and spirit to those who walk in it.
Hoe t’Iehovà Andrianañahare Mpamboatse o likerañeo naho nandafike iareo, I namelatse ty tane toy naho ze miboak’ ama’ey, ie mampikofòke ondaty ama’eo vaho manolotse arofo amo midraidraitse aoo.
6 "I, Jehovah, have called you in righteousness, and will hold your hand, and will keep you, and make you a covenant for the people, as a light for the nations;
Izaho Iehovà, ty nitok’azo an-kavañonañe, nitintineko ty taña’o naho nampitsoloheko, vaho natoloko ho fañina am’ondatio, ho hazavàñe amo kilakila’ ndatio,
7 to open the blind eyes, to bring the prisoners out of the dungeon, and those who sit in darkness out of the prison.
hanokake ty fihaino fey hañakatse o mpirohy am-balabeio naho o mitozòke alafem-porozò añ’ieñeo.
8 "I am Jehovah. That is my name. I will not give my glory to another, nor my praise to engraved images.
Izaho Iehovà, izay ty añarako; tsy hatoloko ami’ty ila’e o volonahekoo, ndra amo hazomangao ty engeko.
9 Look, the former things have happened, and I declare new things. I tell you about them before they come up."
Heheke fa nihelañe o raha haehaeo, o raha vaoo o tseizeko henaneo; Ie mbe tsy mipoteake ty ho taroñeko ama’ areo.
10 Sing to Jehovah a new song, and his praise from the remotest parts of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it, the islands and their inhabitants.
Misaboa sabo vao am’ Iehovà, ibangò ry añ’olo-tane añeo; ie mizotso mb’an-driakey, naho ze he’e ama’e ao, o tokonoseo, vaho o mpimoneñe ama’eo.
11 Let the desert and its cities cry out, with the villages that Kedar inhabits. Let the inhabitants of Sela sing. Let them shout from the top of the mountains.
Hampionjonem-peo ty fatram-bey naho o rova ama’eo, o tanàñe añialoa’ i Kedareo, naho hañonjo Hake t’i Selà, vaho hipaza-kafaleañe boak’ ankaboa’ o vohitseo.
12 Let them give glory to Jehovah, and declare his praise in the islands.
Ho rengè’ iereo t’Iehovà, vaho hitsey ty enge’e amo tokonoseo.
13 Jehovah will go out like a mighty man. He will stir up zeal like a man of war. He will raise a war cry. Yes, he will shout aloud. He will triumph over his enemies.
Hionjom-b’eo hoe fanalolahy t’Iehovà, ho troboe’e am-pamarahiañe hoe lahin-defoñe; hikaikaike naho hisehaseha, hisenge amo rafelahi’eo ty haozara’e.
14 "I have been silent a long time. I have been quiet and restrained myself. Now I will cry out like a travailing woman. I will both gasp and pant.
Loho ela ty nitsiñako, nihendre vaho nifoneñe; f’ie henane zao, hikoiake hoe ampela mitsongo; hisañasaña naho hisehaseha.
15 I will destroy mountains and hills, and dry up all their herbs. I will make the rivers islands, and will dry up the pools.
Ho koaheko o vohitseo naho o haboañeo, vaho ho forejejeko o ahe’eo; hanoeko tokonose o oñe’eo, naho ho riteko o antara’eo.
16 I will bring the blind by a way that they do not know. I will lead them in paths that they do not know. I will make darkness light before them, and crooked places straight. I will do these things, and I will not forsake them.
Hendeseko mb’an-dalañe tsy nifohi’ iareo o goao; hiaoloako añ’oloñoloñe tsy nahazatse iareo; hanoeko hazavàñe aolo’ iereo eo ty ieñe, hampiraeko ze tomoantoañe. hanoeko iaby vaho tsy hapoko ampara’ t’ie fonitse.
17 "Those who trust in engraved images, who tell molten images, 'You are our gods' will be turned back. They will be utterly disappointed.
Hampiambohoeñe an-kasalarañe, o miato an-tsamposampo sinokitseo, ze manao amo sare nitranaheñeo, ‘ndrahare’ay nahareo’.
18 "Hear, you deaf, and look, you blind, that you may see.
Mijanjiña ry kareñeñeo, mahaisaha ry fey, hahavazohoa’ areo.
19 Who is blind, but my servant? Or who is as deaf as my messenger whom I send? Who is as blind as he who is at peace, and as blind as Jehovah's servant?
Ia ty goa naho tsy i mpitorokoy? ndra kareñe manahake i irako nafantokoy? Ia ty fey mandikoatse i nampanintsiñekoy, naho goa te amy mpitoro’ Iehovày?
20 You see many things, but do not observe. His ears are open, but he doesn't listen.
Mahaisake raha maro nahareo fe tsy mahaoniñe, misokake o raven-tsofio fe tsy mahatsendreñe.
21 It pleased Jehovah, for his righteousness' sake, to magnify the law, and make it honorable.
Niehake t’Iehovà, ty amy havañona’ey, honjoñe’e naho ho renge’e i Tsara’ey.
22 But this is a robbed and plundered people. All of them are snared in holes, and they are hidden in prisons. They have become a prey, and no one delivers; and a spoil, and no one says, 'Restore them.'
Fe ondaty nikamereñe naho nivoloseñe retoa, songa tsinepake an-koboñe ao, naetake am-balabey ao; natao ho fitsatsàñe tsy amam-pandrombake, fikopahañe, le tsy eo ty manao: Ampolio.
23 Who is there among you who will give ear to this? Who will listen and hear for the time to come?
Ia ama’ areo ty hanolo-ravembia amy zay? Ia ty hitsendreñe naho hijanjiñe amy ze añe zay?
24 Who gave Jacob as plunder, and Israel to the robbers? Did not Jehovah, he against whom we have sinned? For they would not walk in his ways, and they disobeyed his law.
Ia ty nanolotse Iakobe ho kopaheñe, naho Israele ho amo mpamaokeo? tsy Iehovà hao? I nanoantika hakeoy, tsy nete nañavelo amo lala’eo iereo, tsy norihe’ iareo o Tsara’eo.
25 Therefore he poured the fierceness of his anger on him, and the strength of battle; and it set him on fire all around, but he did not know; and it burned him, but he did not take it to heart."
Aa le nadoa’e ama’e ty haforoforon-kaviñera’e, naho ty hafatraran-kotakotake; naho namiaña’e afo nañarikatok’aze fe tsy hinao’e, vaho nampiforehete’e, tsy rinambe’ ty arofo’e.
