< Isaiah 24 >

1 Look, Jehovah makes the earth empty, makes it waste, turns it upside down, and scatters its inhabitants.
Hwɛ, Awurade rebɛma asase ada mpan na wasɛe no; ɔbɛsɛe asase ani na wabɔ ɛsotefoɔ ahwete,
2 It will be as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the creditor, so with the debtor; as with the taker of interest, so with the giver of interest.
ɛbɛyɛ saa ara ama ɔsɔfoɔ sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ ama nnipa, ama owura sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ ama asomfoɔ, ama awuraa sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ ama afenaa, ama deɛ ɔtɔn sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ ama deɛ ɔtɔ, ama deɛ ɔgye bosea sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ ama deɛ ɔma bosea, ama ɔkafoɔ sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ ama deɛ ɔde ma.
3 The earth will be utterly emptied and utterly laid waste; for Jehovah has spoken this word.
Asase bɛda mpan koraa, na wɔafom ɛso nneɛma. Awurade na waka saa asɛm yi.
4 The earth mourns and fades away. The world languishes and fades away. The lofty people of the earth languish.
Asase so yɛ wesee, na ɛkusa ewiase kɔ ahoyera mu, na ɛkusa, deɛ wɔama no so wɔ asase so ho yera no.
5 The earth also is polluted under its inhabitants, because they have transgressed the law, violated the statute, and broken the everlasting covenant.
Asase so nnipa agu ne ho fi; wɔanni mmara no so, wɔabu ahyɛdeɛ no so na wɔasɛe apam a ɛwɔ hɔ daa no.
6 Therefore the curse has devoured the earth, and those who dwell in it are found guilty. Therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.
Enti, nnome amene asase no ɛsɛ sɛ ɛso nnipa nya wɔn afɔdie so akatua ne saa enti wɔahye asase no so nnipa, na kakra bi pɛ na aka.
7 The new wine mourns. The vine languishes. All the merry-hearted sigh.
Nsa foforɔ no ho asa na bobe no adwan; wɔn a wɔgye wɔn ani no si apinie.
8 The mirth of tambourines ceases. The sound of those who rejoice ends. The joy of the harp ceases.
Akasaeɛbɔ mu anigyeɛ no agyae, ahosɛpɛfoɔ no nteateamu no agyae. Sankuten so nnwom dɛɛdɛ no ayɛ dinn.
9 They will not drink wine with a song. Strong drink will be bitter to those who drink it.
Wɔnnto dwom mfa nnom nsã bio; mmorɔsa ayɛ nwono ama anomfoɔ.
10 The confused city is broken down. Every house is shut up, that no man may come in.
Kuropɔn a wɔasɛe no ada mpan; wɔatoto efie biara apono mu.
11 There is a crying in the streets because of the wine. All joy is darkened. The mirth of the land is gone.
Wɔpere nsã wɔ mmɔntene so; ahosɛpɛ nyinaa adane bosoo yɛ, anigyeɛ nyinaa atu ayera wɔ asase no so.
12 The city is left in desolation, and the gate is struck with destruction.
Kuropɔn no asɛe, wɔabubu nʼapono mu nketenkete.
13 For it will be so in the midst of the earth among the peoples, as the shaking of an olive tree, as the gleanings when the vintage is done.
Saa ara na ɛbɛyɛ wɔ asase no so ne amanaman no mu, sɛdeɛ wɔboro ngo dua a ɛyɛ, anaa sɛdeɛ wogya mpɛpɛ wɔ bobe twaberɛ akyi no.
14 These shall lift up their voice. They will shout for the majesty of Jehovah. They cry aloud from the sea.
Nanso wɔn a aka no ama wɔn nne so, de anigye teateaam; ɛfiri atɔeɛ fam, wɔkamfo Awurade kɛseyɛ.
15 Therefore glorify Jehovah in the east, even the name of Jehovah, the God of Israel, in the islands of the sea.
Enti apueeɛ fam, monhyɛ Awurade animuonyam; momma Awurade din so, Israel Onyankopɔn no, wɔ nsupɔ a ɛwɔ ɛpo so.
16 From the uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs. Glory to the righteous. But I said, "I pine away. I pine away. Woe is me." The treacherous have dealt treacherously. Yes, the treacherous have dealt very treacherously.
Ɛfiri asase ano, yɛte nnwontoɔ sɛ, “Animuonyam nka Ɔteneneeni no.” Nanso mekaa sɛ, “Matɔ baha, mapa aba! Me nnue! Ɔfatwafoɔ redi hwammɔ! Ɔnam nnaadaa so redi hwammɔ.”
17 Fear, the pit, and the snare, are on you who inhabitant the earth.
Ehu, amena ne afidie retwɛn mo, Ao nnipa a mote asase soɔ.
18 It will happen that he who flees from the noise of the fear will fall into the pit; and he who comes up out of the midst of the pit will be taken in the snare; for the windows of heaven are opened, and the foundations of the earth tremble.
Deɛ ehu enti ɔdwane no, ɔbɛtɔ amena mu; deɛ ɔforo firi amena mu no, afidie bɛyi no. Wɔabue nsuo apono wɔ soro, na asase nnyinasoɔ woso.
19 The earth is utterly broken. The earth is torn apart. The earth is shaken violently.
Wɔadwiri asase no na emu apaapae, na asase awoso ankasa.
20 The earth will stagger like a drunken man, and will sway back and forth like a hammock. Its disobedience will be heavy on it, and it will fall and not rise again.
21 It shall happen in that day that Jehovah will punish the army of the high ones on high, and the kings of the earth on the earth.
Saa ɛda no, Awurade bɛtwe ɔsoro atumfoɔ ne ahemfo a ɛwɔ asase so aso.
22 And they will be gathered, a gathering in a dungeon, and shall be shut up in the prison; and after many days shall they be visited.
Wɔbɛka wɔn nyinaa abɔ mu sɛ nneduafoɔ ahyɛ afiase amena mu; wɔbɛto wɔn mu wɔ nneduadan mu na nna bebree akyi no wɔatwe wɔn aso.
23 Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, for Jehovah of hosts will reign on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, and before his elders will be glory.
Ɔsrane anim bɛgu ase na owia ani awu; na Asafo Awurade bɛdi ɔhene wɔ Sion bepɔ so ne Yerusalem, ne wɔn mpanimfoɔ anim, wɔ animuonyam mu.
