< Isaiah 24 >

1 Look, Jehovah makes the earth empty, makes it waste, turns it upside down, and scatters its inhabitants.
Khenhaw! BAWIPA ni talai hah peng raphoe vaiteh, tami kingkadi lah awm sak vaiteh, talai detpakhup vaiteh, hawvah kaawm e naw hai koung a kâkayei sak han.
2 It will be as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the creditor, so with the debtor; as with the taker of interest, so with the giver of interest.
Hattoteh taminaw koe kaawm e patetlah vaihma koe ao van han. San koe kaawm e patetlah a bawi koehai ao van han. Ka ran e koe kaawm e patetlah kâyawt e koehai ao han. Lai ka ba e koe kaawm e patetlah lai a ba pouh e koehai ao han. Apung ka poe e koe kaawm e patetlah apung kacate koehai ao han.
3 The earth will be utterly emptied and utterly laid waste; for Jehovah has spoken this word.
BAWIPA ni a dei dawkvah, talai teh hrawnghrang lah ao teh, lawp e lah ao han.
4 The earth mourns and fades away. The world languishes and fades away. The lofty people of the earth languish.
Talai teh a cingou laihoi a kamyai. Talaivan hai a tha ayoun teh a kamyai. Talai tami kalentoenaw hai a tha ayoun awh.
5 The earth also is polluted under its inhabitants, because they have transgressed the law, violated the statute, and broken the everlasting covenant.
Talai teh, ama dawk kaawm e taminaw e kâtapoenae, kâlawk ngaihoehnae, a yungyoe lawkkam tapoenae dawkvah, a khin toe.
6 Therefore the curse has devoured the earth, and those who dwell in it are found guilty. Therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.
Hatdawkvah, hete thoebonae ni talai a payawp toe. Talai dawk kaawmnaw koe yon teh a pha toe. Hatdawkvah, talai dawk kaawm e naw teh, a kak awh teh, hoehoe a youn awh.

8 The mirth of tambourines ceases. The sound of those who rejoice ends. The joy of the harp ceases.
Tâbaw hoi panuiparing lawk hai kingdi toe.
9 They will not drink wine with a song. Strong drink will be bitter to those who drink it.
La sak laihoi misurtui neinae awm hoeh toe. Yamu teh kanetnaw hanelah a kha pouh toe.
10 The confused city is broken down. Every house is shut up, that no man may come in.

11 There is a crying in the streets because of the wine. All joy is darkened. The mirth of the land is gone.

12 The city is left in desolation, and the gate is struck with destruction.
Kho thung teh, kingdinae doeh kaawm toe. Kho longkha teh, peng raphoe lah ao.
13 For it will be so in the midst of the earth among the peoples, as the shaking of an olive tree, as the gleanings when the vintage is done.
Bangkongtetpawiteh, talai lungui, ramnaw thung dawkvah, olivekung kahuet toteh kaawm e patetlah thoseh, misurpaw khi toteh a paw racawng e patetlah thoseh ao han.
14 These shall lift up their voice. They will shout for the majesty of Jehovah. They cry aloud from the sea.
A lawk hoe a cai sak awh teh, lunghawi laihoi la a sak awh. Kanîloumlah kaawm e naw ni BAWIPA taluenae teh a dei awh han.
15 Therefore glorify Jehovah in the east, even the name of Jehovah, the God of Israel, in the islands of the sea.

16 From the uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs. Glory to the righteous. But I said, "I pine away. I pine away. Woe is me." The treacherous have dealt treacherously. Yes, the treacherous have dealt very treacherously.
Kalan e Bawipa teh lentoe lawiseh, telah talai poutnae koehoi la sak lawk ka thai. Hatei, kai niteh, kai kaawm hoeh toe. Kai kaawm hoeh toe. Ka kahma toe. Bangkongtetpawiteh, yuemkamcu hoeh e naw ni yuemkamcu hoeh lah kho a sak awh.
17 Fear, the pit, and the snare, are on you who inhabitant the earth.
Oe talai taminaw, taki ka tho e hoi tangkom hoi karap naw ni sut na pawp awh.
18 It will happen that he who flees from the noise of the fear will fall into the pit; and he who comes up out of the midst of the pit will be taken in the snare; for the windows of heaven are opened, and the foundations of the earth tremble.
Taki ka tho e pawlawk dawk kayawngnaw teh tangkom thung a bo awh han. Tangkom thung hoi bout katâcawtnaw teh tangkam dawk a kâman awh han. Kalvan longkhanaw paawng teh, talai dunaw hai a kâhuet han.
19 The earth is utterly broken. The earth is torn apart. The earth is shaken violently.
Talaipui teh khoeroe a kâbawng toe. Talaipui teh khoeroe a tip teh a rawk toe. Talaipui teh khoeroe a kâhuet toe.
20 The earth will stagger like a drunken man, and will sway back and forth like a hammock. Its disobedience will be heavy on it, and it will fall and not rise again.
Talaipui teh yamuhri patetlah dandan a rawp teh, loungkanghawi patetlah a kâhuet toe. A payonnae yon teh amae lathueng a ri poung dawkvah, a rawp han. Bout thaw thai mahoeh toe.
21 It shall happen in that day that Jehovah will punish the army of the high ones on high, and the kings of the earth on the earth.
Hote hnin dawkvah, BAWIPA ni kalvan vah, ransabawinaw thoseh, talai van vah talai siangpahrangnaw thoseh, lawk a ceng han.
22 And they will be gathered, a gathering in a dungeon, and shall be shut up in the prison; and after many days shall they be visited.

23 Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, for Jehovah of hosts will reign on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, and before his elders will be glory.
Hathnukkhu thapa teh a minhmai mathout vaiteh, kanî hai yeirai a po han. Bangkongtetpawiteh, kalvan ransabawi ni Zion mon Jerusalem vah siangpahrang lah awm vaiteh, amae kacuenaw hmalah, a lentoe han.
