< Hebrews 11 >
1 Now faith is being confident of what we hope for, convinced about things we do not see.
Vinu njimiru ndo kuwera na unakaka kwa vitwatira vyatulitumbira, kuvimana kwa unakaka vitwatira vyatuviwona ndiri.
2 For by this, the people of old were attested.
Kwa njimiru, wazewi wa makashu wajimiritwi na Mlungu.
3 By faith, we understand that the ages were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen has not been made out of things which are visible. (aiōn )
Kwa njimiru, twenga tuvimana handa pasipanu panyawitwi kwa shisoweru sha Mlungu, su vintu vyaviwoneka vilawiti muvintu vyaviwoneka ndiri. (aiōn )
4 By faith, Abel offered to God a better sacrifice than Cain, through which he was attested as righteous, God testifying with respect to his gifts; and though he died he still speaks through it.
Kwa njimiru Abeli kamlaviliriti Mlungu tambiku yaiweriti iherepa kuliku ilii ya Kaini. Kwa njimiru yakuwi, kajimiritwi na kuwera yakamfiriziya Mlungu toziya Mlungu mweni kazijimiriti tambiku zakuwi. Kwa njimiru yakuwi tembera kahowiti, matendu gakuwi gankali gawera na mafundu kwa twenga.
5 By faith, Enoch was taken away, so that he would not see death, "and he was not found, because God took him away." For before he was taken he was attested as having pleased God.
Kwa njimiru, Henoki kanyasulitwi na Mlungu, nakahowa. Kawonekaniti ndiri kayi toziya Mlungu kamnyasuliti. Pamberi pa kunyasulwa kwakuwi, Malembu Mananagala galonga kuwera yomberi kamfiliziyiti Mlungu.
6 Now without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him.
Pota njimiru hapeni iwezekani kumfiriziya Mlungu. Toziya kila muntu yakamgendera Mlungu, mpaka kajimiri kuwera Mlungu kapalaa na kuwera kawapanana lifupu walii yawamsakula nentu.
7 By faith, Noah, being warned about things not yet seen, in reverence prepared a box-shaped ship for the salvation of his household, through which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.
Kwa njimiru Nuhu kaberiziwitwi na Mlungu toziya ya vitwatira vya kulongolu vyaviwonekiti ndiri. Kamjimiriti Mlungu, kanyawa safina, mlaamu kalopoziyitwi yomberi pamuhera na kaya yakuwi. Kulawirana na aga, kwa njimiru yakuwi wantu wa pasipanu watozitwi kuwera na vidoda na Nuhu kamfiriziyiti Mlungu kwa njira ya njimiru.
8 By faith, Abraham, when he was called, obeyed to go out to a place which he was to receive for an inheritance. He went out, not knowing where he was going.
Kwa njimiru Aburahamu kamupikaniritii Mlungu pakashemitwi kagendi muisi Mlungu mekampanani iweri yakuwi. Tembera kavimana ndiri pakaweriti kankugenda, Aburahamu kawukiti.
9 By faith, he sojourned in a land of promise, as a foreigner, living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise.
Kwa njimiru kalikaliti gambira muhenga muisi Mlungu yakamlagiliti kumpanana. Kalikaliti aku mumapamanda, Isaka na Yakobu wankiti vintu viraa vilii Mlungu vyakamlagiliti Aburahamu, walikaliti mumapamanda vulaa gambira yomberi.
10 For he looked for the city which has foundations, whose architect and builder is God.
Toziya Aburahamu kaweriti kankuhepelera lushi lwaluwera na lyanjiru ligangamala, lushi lweni Mlungu mweni ndo yakaluholiriti na kulinyawa.
11 By faith, even barren Sarah herself received power to conceive when she was past age, and gave birth, since she considered him faithful who had promised.
Kwa njimiru Aburahamu kankiti makakala ga kulera tembera kaweriti mzewi na Sara mdala gwakuwi kaweriti mpendi. Toziya Aburahamu kajimiriti kuwera Mlungu yakamlagiliti kaweriti mjimirika.
12 Therefore as many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as innumerable as the sand which is by the sea shore, were fathered by one man, and him as good as dead.
Su kulawa kwa muntu yumu ayu mweni yakapititi kala umuli wa kulera, kulawiriti wantu wavuwa gambira ntondu zya kumpindi na gambira mhanga gwa pambeku pa bahali.
13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them and embraced them from afar, and having acknowledged that they were strangers and temporary residents on the earth.
Wantu woseri awa wahowiti pawawera na njimiru. Wahowiti pamberi pa kwanka vitwatira Mlungu vyakavilagiliti, kumbiti kwa kutali waviwoniti na wanemeleriti na kulonga kuwera womberi waweriti wahenga na watugira pasipanu.
14 For those who say such things make it clear that they are seeking a country of their own.
Wantu yawatakula vitwatira handa avi, walanguziya paweru kuwera wankuyisakula isi yawu weni.
15 If indeed they had been thinking of that country from which they went out, they would have had enough time to return.
Handa mewayiholeri isi yawalawiti makashu, mewapati lupenyu lya kuwuya aku.
16 Instead, they were longing for a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed of them, to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.
Kumbiti vinu wafira isi yaiwera iherepa nentu, isi ya kumpindi. Su Mlungu kawona ndiri soni kushemwa Mlungu gwawu, toziya yomberi kawatandiriti kala lushi.
17 By faith, Abraham, being tested, offered up Isaac; and he who had gladly received the promises was offering up his one and only son;
Kwa njimiru Aburahamu kamlaviyiti mwana gwakuwi Isaka kaweri tambiku shipindi Mlungu pakamjeriti. Aburahamu mweni ndo yakaweriti kanka shirii shakalagiliti Mlungu, kumbiti pamuhera na hangu, kajimiriti kumlaviya mwana gwakuwi gwa gweka gwa lagilu,
18 even he to whom it was said, "In Isaac will your descendants be called;"
ndomweni yakagambiritwi na Mlungu kupitira Isaka hagupati wiwuka wavuwa.
19 concluding that God is able to raise up even from the dead. Figuratively speaking, he also did receive him back from the dead.
Aburahamu kavimaniti handa Mlungu kaweza kuzyukisiya yawahowiti na kwa ntambu yimonga nakaka Aburahamu kampatiti kayi mwana gwakuwi kulawa kwa yawahowiti.
20 By faith, Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau, even concerning things to come.
Kwa njimiru Isaka kawatekeleriti Yakobu na Esawu matekeleru gagiza shakapanu.
21 By faith, Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of the sons of Joseph, and bowed over the top of his staff.
Kwa njimiru Yakobu pakaweriti sambira kahowa, kawapetera mashi kila yumu gwa wana wa Yosefu, na kamguwiriti Mlungu pakalugolokelera luhonga lyakuwi.
22 By faith, Joseph, when his end was near, made mention of the departure of the children of Israel; and gave instructions concerning his bones.
Kwa njimiru Yosefu pakaweriti pakwegera kuhowa, katakuliti kulawa kwa Waisraeli muisi ya Misri, na viraa kawalekera malagaliru ntambu ya kugatenda mafupa gakuwi.
23 By faith, Moses, when he was born, was hidden for three months by his parents, because they saw that he was a beautiful child, and they were not afraid of the king's commandment.
Kwa njimiru Musa kafifitwi na walera wakuwi kwa shipindi sha myezi mitatu pakayiwukiti. Toziya wamwoniti kuwera mwana kaherepa, womberi wavitiriti ndiri visoweru vya mfalumi.
24 By faith, Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter,
Kwa njimiru Musa pakakuliti, kalemiti kushemwa mwana gwa binti gwa Farawu.
25 choosing rather to share ill treatment with God's people, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a time;
Kawoniti mbaka kutabika pamuhera na wantu wa Mlungu kuliku kunemelera woya ya vidoda kwa katepu hera.
26 considering the abuse suffered for the Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt; for he looked to the reward.
Kavimaniti kuwera kutabika toziya ya Kristu Mlopoziya kwana mota nkulu kuliku ulunda woseri wa isi ya Misri toziya kaweriti kankulolerela lifupu lya shakapanu.
27 By faith, he left Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.
Kwa njimiru Musa kalawiti isi ya Misri pota na kutira maya ga mfalumi, na kawuyiti ndiri kumbeli, toziya kendereyiti kumlolerela Mlungu ulii yakawoneka ndiri.
28 By faith, he kept the Passover, and the sprinkling of the blood, that the destroyer of the firstborn should not touch them.
Kwa njimiru kayitenditi Pasaka, kalagaliriti mwazi gumyatirwi pampindi pa milyangu, su ntumintumi gwa kumpindi gwa kulaga nakawalaga wiwuka wa kwanja wa Israeli.
29 By faith, they passed through the Red Sea as on dry land. When the Egyptians tried to do so, they were swallowed up.
Kwa njimiru wantu wa Israeli walokiti bahali nsheri handa iweriti isi iyuma, kumbiti Wamisri pawajeriti kutenda hangu wahowiti kwa kumiruwa mumashi.
30 By faith, the walls of Jericho fell down, after they had been encircled for seven days.
Kwa njimiru liboma lwa lushi lwa Yeriku viguwiti wantu wa Israeli pawavizyengikiti kala kwa mashaka saba.
31 By faith, Rahab the prostitute did not perish with those who were disobedient, having received the spies in peace.
Kwa njimiru Rahabu yakaweriti mndiyandiya kahowiti ndiri pamuhera na walii yawamjimiriti ndiri Mlungu, toziya kawashemeriti kwa ponga walolalola wa bada.
32 And what more should I say? For the time would fail me if I told of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, and the prophets;
Su ntakuli shishi kayi? Nahera shipindi kwaneni kuwatakulira ashina Gidioni na Baraki na Samsoni na Yefta na Dawudi na Samweli na wambuyi wa Mlungu.
33 who, through faith subdued kingdoms, worked out righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,
Kwa njimiru woseri awa wazikankiti falumi. Watenditi vitwatira vyavimfiriziyiti Mlungu, wanka galii gakalagiliti Mlungu. Wadiwa milomu ya simba,
34 quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, from weakness were made strong, grew mighty in war, and caused foreign armies to flee.
wadoziya makakala ga myotu, washapiriti kulagwa kwa upanga, waweriti legulegu kumbiti wapatiti makakala. Waweriti wagangamala mungondu, wakankiti mashonta ga shihenga.
35 Women received their dead by resurrection. And others were tortured, not accepting the payment for release, that they might obtain a better resurrection.
Wadala wamu wawauziliriti walongu wawu yawahowiti pawawera wakomu. Wamu wawu walema kuvugulirwa, watabisiyitwi mpaka wahowa su wapati kuzyukisiwa na kwingira mumakaliru gaherepa nentu.
36 Others were tried by mocking and scourging, yes, moreover by bonds and imprisonment.
Wamonga watenderitwi lidufiya na kusyatangwa ntomondu, na wamonga watawitwi minyololu na kutatilwa mushibetubetu.
37 They were stoned, they were sawed apart, they were put to the test, they were killed with the sword. They went around in sheepskins and in goatskins, being destitute, afflicted, mistreated
Wagumitwi mabuwi, wapiligitwi kwa misumenu vipandi viwili. Wagendigenditi kwa kuzyengeta pawavala mikuli ya wakondolu na mikuli ya wambuzi, waweriti wantu wahushu yawatabisiyitwi na kuzulumiwa.
38 (of whom the world was not worthy), wandering in deserts, mountains, caves, and the holes of the earth.
Wantu wa pasipanu wafiriti ndiri kuwera na wantu awa. Wayeriyeriti kushiwala na mumigongu, walikaliti mumpanga na mumarindi.
39 These all, having had testimony given to them through their faith, did not receive the promise,
Woseri awa wawonekaniti kuwera wakanka toziya ya njimiru yawu. Pamuhera na hangu wankiti ndiri galii Mlungu gakalagiliti,
40 God having provided some better thing concerning us, so that apart from us they should not be made perfect.
toziya Mlungu kaweriti na mpangu yaguherepa nentu toziya ya twenga, su womberi mewausegeleri ukamilika pawawera na twenga.
