Genesis 42
1 Now Jacob learned that there was grain in Egypt, so Jacob said to his sons, "Why do you look at one another?"
၁ယာကုပ်သည်အီဂျစ်ပြည်တွင်စပါးရှိ ကြောင်းကြားသိရသောအခါ သူ၏သားတို့ အား``သင်တို့အဘယ်ကြောင့်မှိုင်တွေနေကြ သနည်း။-
2 He said, "Look, I have heard that there is grain in Egypt. Go down there and buy some for us from there, so that we may live and not die."
၂အီဂျစ်ပြည်၌စပါးရှိကြောင်းငါကြားရသည်။ ငါတို့အစာငတ်၍မသေကြစေရန်သင်တို့ ထိုပြည်သို့သွား၍စပါးဝယ်ကြလော့'' ဟု စေခိုင်းလေ၏။-
3 So Joseph's ten brothers went down to buy grain from Egypt.
၃ထိုကြောင့်ယောသပ်၏အစ်ကိုတစ်ကျိပ်တို့သည် စပါးဝယ်ရန်အီဂျစ်ပြည်သို့ထွက်ခွာသွားကြ၏။-
4 But Jacob did not send Joseph's brother Benjamin with his brothers, for he said, "Some harm might happen to him."
၄ယာကုပ်သည်ယောသပ်၏ညီရင်းဗင်္ယာမိန်ကို ကား ဘေးရောက်မည်စိုးရိမ်သောကြောင့်အစ်ကို များနှင့်အတူမစေလွှတ်ချေ။
5 So the sons of Israel went to buy among the other travelers, for the famine was in the land of Canaan.
၅ခါနာန်ပြည်တစ်ပြည်လုံးတွင်အစာခေါင်းပါးခြင်း ကပ်ဆိုက်လျက်ရှိသဖြင့် ယာကုပ်၏သားတို့သည် အခြားသောစပါးဝယ်ရန်သွားသူတို့နှင့်အတူ အီဂျစ်ပြည်သို့သွားကြ၏။-
6 Now Joseph was the ruler over the country, and it was he who sold to all the people of the land. Joseph's brothers came and bowed themselves down to him with their faces to the ground.
၆အီဂျစ်ပြည်ဘုရင်ခံဖြစ်သူယောသပ်သည် အပြည် ပြည်မှစပါးဝယ်လာသောသူတို့အားစပါးရောင်း ချလျက်ရှိ၏။ ယောသပ်၏အစ်ကိုတို့သည်လည်း ရောက်ရှိလာကြ၍ယောသပ်၏ရှေ့မှောက်တွင် ပျပ်ဝပ်ကြလေ၏။-
7 Joseph saw his brothers, and he recognized them, but he acted like he did not know them, and spoke harshly with them. And he said to them, "Where do you come from?" And they said, "From the land of Canaan to buy food."
၇ယောသပ်သည်သူ၏အစ်ကိုတို့ကိုမြင်၍မှတ် မိသော်လည်း အစ်ကိုတို့ကိုမသိဟန်ဆောင် လျက်``သင်တို့အဘယ်အရပ်မှလာကြသနည်း'' ဟုခက်ထန်စွာမေးလေ၏။ သူတို့က``ကျွန်တော်တို့သည်ရိက္ခာဝယ်ရန် ခါနာန်ပြည်မှလာပါသည်'' ဟုဖြေကြ၏။
8 So Joseph recognized his brothers, but they did not recognize him.
၈ယောသပ်ကသူ၏အစ်ကိုတို့ဖြစ်မှန်းသိ သော်လည်း သူတို့ကယောသပ်ကိုမသိကြ။-
9 Then Joseph remembered the dreams which he dreamed about them, and said to them, "You are spies. You have come to look for the vulnerabilities of the country."
၉သူသည်သူတို့အကြောင်းနှင့်ပတ်သက်သော အိပ်မက်ကိုသတိရ၍``သင်တို့သည်သူလျှိုများ ဖြစ်၏။ ဤတိုင်းပြည်၏အားနည်းချက်ကိုထောက် လှမ်းရန်လာကြသူများဖြစ်သည်'' ဟုစွပ်စွဲ လိုက်လေ၏။
10 But they said to him, "No, my lord, but your servants have come to buy food.
၁၀သူတို့က``မဟုတ်ပါအရှင်၊ ကိုယ်တော်၏ကျွန် တို့သည်ရိက္ခာဝယ်ယူရန်လာကြပါသည်။-
11 We are all sons of one man. We are honest men. Your servants are not spies."
၁၁ကျွန်တော်တို့သည်ဖခင်တစ်ဦးတည်းမှပေါက် ဖွားသောညီအစ်ကိုများဖြစ်ကြပါသည်။ ကိုယ်တော်ကျွန်တို့သည်သူလျှိုများမဟုတ် ပါ။ ရိုးသားသူများဖြစ်ကြပါသည်'' ဟု ပြန်လည်လျှောက်ထားကြ၏။
12 But he said to them, "No, but you have come to look for the vulnerabilities of the country."
၁၂ယောသပ်ကလည်း``သင်တို့သည်ရိုးသားသူများ မဟုတ်။ တိုင်းပြည်၏အားနည်းချက်ကိုထောက် လှမ်းရန်လာသူများဖြစ်ကြသည်'' ဟုတစ်ဖန် စွပ်စွဲပြန်၏။
13 But they said, "We, your servants, are twelve brothers, the sons of one man in the land of Canaan; and look, the youngest is now with our father, and one is no more."
၁၃ထိုအခါသူတို့က``ကိုယ်တော်၏ကျွန်တို့သည် ခါနာန်ပြည်၌နေထိုင်သောတစ်ယောက်တည်း သောသူ၏ သားတစ်ကျိပ်နှစ်ယောက်ဖြစ်ကြပါ သည်။ ညီတစ်ယောက်သေဆုံး၍ညီအငယ်ဆုံး သည် ယခုဖခင်နှင့်အတူကျန်ရစ်ခဲ့ပါသည်'' ဟုလျှောက်ကြ၏။
14 But Joseph said to them, "It is as I said to you, saying, 'You are spies.'
၁၄တစ်ဖန်ယောသပ်က``ငါဆိုခဲ့သည့်အတိုင်း သင် တို့သည်သူလျှိုဖြစ်ကြ၏။-
15 This is how you will be tested. By the life of Pharaoh, you will not leave from here until your youngest brother comes here.
၁၅သင်တို့ပြောသမျှမှန်သည်မမှန်သည်ကိုဤသို့ စစ်ဆေးမည်။ ဖာရောဘုရင်၏အမိန့်အာဏာ အရအသက်ရှင်တော်မူသည်အတိုင်း သင်တို့ ၏ညီအငယ်ဆုံးကိုဤအရပ်သို့မခေါ်ဆောင်ခဲ့ လျှင်သင်တို့သည်ဤတိုင်းပြည်မှမထွက်ခွာရ။-
16 Send one of you, and let him get your brother, and you will stay in prison, so that your words can be tested, whether there is truth in you. Or else, by the life of Pharaoh, surely you are spies."
၁၆သင်တို့အနက်တစ်ယောက်ယောက်ကိုစေလွှတ်၍ သင်တို့၏ညီကိုခေါ်ဆောင်ခဲ့ရမည်။ သင်တို့၏ စကားမှန်သည်မမှန်သည်ကိုသိနိုင်သည့်တိုင် အောင် ကျန်ရစ်သောသင်တို့ကိုအကျဉ်းချထား မည်။ သင်တို့၏ညီကိုမခေါ်ဆောင်နိုင်ခဲ့လျှင် သင်တို့သည်ဖာရောဘုရင်အသက်ရှင်တော် မူသည်အတိုင်းသူလျှိုများမုချဖြစ်ရမည်'' ဟုဆိုပြီးလျှင်၊-
17 So he put all of them together in prison for three days.
၁၇သူတို့အားလုံးကိုသုံးရက်ချုပ်ထားလေ၏။
18 Then Joseph said to them the third day, "Do what I say, and live, for I fear God.
၁၈တတိယနေ့၌ ယောသပ်ကသူတို့အား``ငါ ဘုရားကိုကြောက်ရွံ့ရိုသေသောသူဖြစ်၏။ သင် တို့အသက်ချမ်းသာစေရန် ဤသို့ပြုလုပ်လော့။-
19 If you are honest, then let one of your brothers remain confined in your prison; but you go and carry grain for the hunger of your households.
၁၉သင်တို့ရိုးသားကြောင်းကိုသက်သေပြရန်သင် တို့အနက်တစ်ယောက်ယောက်သည် ဤအကျဉ်း ထောင်ထဲ၌နေရစ်ခဲ့ရမည်။ ကျန်သောသူတို့ ကရိက္ခာပြတ်နေသောသင်တို့၏မိသားစု အတွက် ဝယ်ယူသောစပါးကိုယူဆောင်သွား ကြလော့။-
20 But bring your youngest brother to me so that your words will be verified, and you won't die." To this they agreed.
၂၀ထိုနောက်သင်တို့၏ညီအငယ်ဆုံးကိုငါ့ထံသို့ ခေါ်ဆောင်ခဲ့ရမည်။ ထိုသို့ပြုလုပ်လျှင်သင်တို့ ၏စကားမှန်ကန်ကြောင်းသိရမည်။ သင်တို့သည် လည်းအသက်ချမ်းသာရာရလိမ့်မည်'' ဟု ဆိုလေ၏။ သူတို့သည်ယောသပ်ပြောသမျှသဘောတူ ကြ၏။-
21 Then they said to one another, "We are certainly guilty concerning our brother, because we saw how distressed he was when he pleaded with us, and we wouldn't listen. Therefore this distress has come upon us."
၂၁ထိုနောက်သူတို့အချင်းချင်းက``အကယ်စင်စစ် ငါတို့ညီအားပြုခဲ့သမျှအတွက် ယခုငါတို့ ခံရကြလေပြီ။ သနားညှာတာရန်ငါတို့၏ညီ ကတောင်းပန်သောအခါ ငါတို့သည်သူ၏စိတ် ဆင်းရဲခြင်းကိုမြင်လျက်နှင့်သူ့အားမသနား မညှာတာခဲ့ချေ။ ထို့ကြောင့်ငါတို့သည်ယခု ဝဋ်လည်နေရကြ၏'' ဟုပြောဆိုကြ၏။
22 Reuben answered them, saying, "Did I not tell you, saying, 'Do not sin against the boy,' but you wouldn't listen? Therefore, look, now comes a reckoning for his blood."
၂၂ထိုအခါရုဗင်က``ငါသည်သင်တို့အားသူငယ် ကို ဘေးဒုက္ခမရောက်စေပါနှင့်ဟူ၍သတိပေး ခဲ့သော်လည်းသင်တို့သည်နားမထောင်ကြ။ ထို့ ကြောင့်ငါတို့သည်ယခုဝဋ်လည်နေရကြပြီ'' ဟုဆိုလေ၏။-
23 Now they did not know that Joseph could understand them, since he was speaking through an interpreter.
၂၃သူတို့အချင်းချင်းပြောဆိုသမျှကိုယောသပ် နားလည်၏။ ယောသပ်သည်သူတို့နှင့်ပြောဆိုရာ တွင်စကားပြန်ကိုအသုံးပြုသောကြောင့် သူ တို့အချင်းချင်းပြောဆိုသမျှကိုသူနား လည်မည်မဟုတ်ဟုသူတို့ထင်မှတ်ကြ၏။
24 He stepped away from them and wept. Then he returned to them and talked with them. Then he took Simeon from them and bound him in front of them.
၂၄ထိုနောက်ယောသပ်သည်သူတို့ထံမှထွက်သွား၍ ငိုကြွေးလေ၏။ သူသည်ဣန္ဒြေဆည်နိုင်သောအခါ သူတို့ထံပြန်၍ သူတို့အနက်ရှိမောင်ကိုရွေး ထုတ်လျက်သူတို့၏ရှေ့တွင်ချည်နှောင်စေ၏။
25 Then Joseph gave orders to fill their bags with grain, and to restore every man's silver into his sack, and to give them food for the journey. And it was done for them.
၂၅ယောသပ်ကသူ၏အစ်ကိုတို့၏အိတ်များတွင် စပါးအပြည့်ထည့်ပေး၍ တစ်ယောက်စီထံမှရ သောစပါးဖိုးငွေကိုအသီးသီးတို့၏အိတ်၌ ပြန်ထည့်ပေးရန်နှင့် လမ်းခရီး၌စားရန်ရိက္ခာ ကိုလည်းထည့်ပေးရန်အမိန့်ပေးသည့်အတိုင်း တာဝန်ခံကပြု၏။-
26 They loaded their donkeys with their grain, and departed from there.
၂၆ယောသပ်၏အစ်ကိုတို့သည်မြည်းများပေါ် တွင် စပါးအိတ်များကိုတင်ပြီးနောက်ထွက် ခွာသွားကြလေ၏။-
27 As one of them opened his sack to give his donkey food at the lodging place, he saw his silver. Look, it was in the mouth of his sack.
၂၇ညအိပ်စခန်းချရန်အရပ်သို့ရောက်ကြသော အခါ သူတို့အထဲမှတစ်ယောက်ကမြည်းကို အစာကျွေးရန် သူ၏အိတ်ကိုဖွင့်လိုက်ရာအိတ် ဝတွင်မိမိ၏ငွေကိုတွေ့ရလေ၏။-
28 He said to his brothers, "My silver has been returned. Look, it is in my sack." And they were dismayed, and they turned trembling to one another, saying, "What is this that God has done to us?"
၂၈သူကညီအစ်ကိုတို့အား``ကျွန်ုပ်၏ငွေကိုပြန် ထည့်ပေးလိုက်ပါသည်တကား'' ဟုဆို၍စပါး အိတ်ထဲကငွေကိုပြလေ၏။ ထိုအခါသူတို့ သည်စိတ်တုန်လှုပ်ချောက်ချားလျက်``ဘုရားသခင်သည်ငါတို့အားမည်သို့ပြုတော်မူဘိ သနည်း'' ဟု အချင်းချင်းပြောဆိုကြ၏။
29 Then they returned to their father Jacob to the land of Canaan, and told him all that had happened to them, saying,
၂၉ခါနာန်ပြည်ရှိသူတို့၏အဖယာကုပ်ထံ သို့ရောက်ကြသောအခါ ဖြစ်ပျက်ခဲ့သမျှ အကြောင်းစုံကိုဖခင်အားပြောပြကြလေ သည်။-
30 "The man, the lord of the country, spoke harshly to us, and he put us in custody as spies of the country.
၃၀သူတို့က``အီဂျစ်ပြည်ကိုအစိုးရသူသည် ကျွန် တော်တို့အားခက်ထန်စွာပြောဆိုဆက်ဆံပါ သည်။ ကျွန်တော်တို့သည်သူ၏တိုင်းပြည်ကို ထောက်လှမ်းသောသူလျှိုများဖြစ်သည်ဟု စွပ်စွဲပါသည်။-
31 But we said to him, 'We are honest men. We are not spies.
၃၁ကျွန်တော်တို့က`ကျွန်တော်တို့သည်ရိုးသား သောသူများဖြစ်ပါသည်။ သူလျှိုမဟုတ်ပါ။-
32 We are twelve brothers, sons of our father; one is no more, and the youngest is now with our father in the land of Canaan.'
၃၂ဖခင်တစ်ဦးတည်းမှပေါက်ဖွားသောညီအစ်ကို တစ်ကျိပ်နှစ်ယောက်ဖြစ်ကြပါသည်။ တစ်ယောက် သည်သေဆုံး၍ ညီအငယ်ဆုံးသည်အဖနှင့် ခါနာန်ပြည်၌ရှိနေပါသည်' ဟုလျှောက်ကြ ပါသည်။-
33 The man, the lord of the country, said to us, 'By this I will know that you are honest men: leave one of your brothers with me, and take grain for the hunger of your households, and go your way.
၃၃ထိုပြည်ကိုအုပ်စိုးသူက`သင်တို့သည်ရိုးသား သူများဖြစ်ကြောင်းကို ငါသိနိုင်ရန်ဤသို့ပြု လုပ်ရမည်။ သင်တို့အနက်တစ်ယောက်ကိုငါထံ ၌ထားခဲ့ရမည်။ ကျန်သောသူတို့ကရိက္ခာပြတ် နေသောသင်တို့၏မိသားစုထံသို့စပါးယူ ၍ပြန်ကြလော့။-
34 Bring your youngest brother to me. Then I will know that you are not spies, but that you are honest men. So I will deliver your brother to you, and you may travel in the land.'"
၃၄သင်တို့၏ညီအငယ်ဆုံးကိုငါ့ထံသို့ခေါ် ဆောင်ခဲ့လော့။ ထိုသို့ပြုလုပ်လျှင်သင်တို့ သူလျှိုမဟုတ်၊ ရိုးသားသူများဖြစ်သည်ကို ငါသိနိုင်မည်။ ထိုနောက်သင်တို့၏ညီကိုသင် တို့ထံသို့ငါပြန်အပ်မည်။ သင်တို့သည်လည်း ဤပြည်တွင်နေထိုင်၍ရောင်းဝယ်ဖောက်ကား နိုင်ကြမည်' '' ဟူ၍ဆိုကြ၏။
35 Then it happened as they emptied their sacks, that look, every man's bag of silver was in his sack. When they and their father saw their bags of silver, they were afraid.
၃၅သူတို့သည်စပါးအိတ်များကိုသွန်ချကြ သောအခါ လူတိုင်းကမိမိ၏ငွေထုပ်ကိုမိမိ အိတ်ထဲတွင်တွေ့ရလေသော် အဖနှင့်တကွ သားတို့သည်ကြောက်လန့်ကြ၏။-
36 Then their father Jacob said to them, "You have deprived me of my children. Joseph is no more, Simeon is no more, and you want to take Benjamin away. All this has come against me."
၃၆သူတို့အဖက``သင်တို့သည်ငါ့သားများကို တစ်ယောက်ပြီးတစ်ယောက်ဆုံးပါးစေတော့ မည်လော။ ယောသပ်လည်းမရှိ။ ရှိမောင်လည်း မရှိ။ ယခုဗင်္ယာမိန်ကိုခေါ်ဆောင်သွားကြ ဦးမည်လော။ ငါ၌အတိဒုက္ခရောက်ရပါ သည်တကား'' ဟုဆိုလေ၏။
37 Reuben spoke to his father, saying, "Kill my two sons if I do not bring him to you. Put him in my care, and I will bring him back to you."
၃၇ထိုအခါရုဗင်ကအဖအား``ဗင်္ယာမိန်ကို အဖထံသို့ကျွန်တော်ပြန်၍မခေါ်နိုင်ခဲ့ လျှင် ကျွန်တော်၏သားနှစ်ယောက်သေဒဏ်ခံ ရပါစေ။ သူ့အတွက်ကျွန်တော်တာဝန်ယူ ပါမည်။ အဖထံသို့သူ့ကိုကျွန်တော်အရောက် ပြန်လည်ခေါ်ဆောင်ခဲ့ပါမည်'' ဟုပြောလေ၏။
38 But he said, "My son will not go down with you, for his brother is dead, and he alone is left. If harm should happen to him on the journey you are taking, then you will bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to Sheol." (Sheol h7585)
၃၈သို့ရာတွင်ယာကုပ်က``ငါ့သားကိုသင်တို့နှင့် အတူမလွှတ်နိုင်။ သူ၏အစ်ကိုသေဆုံးပြီဖြစ် ၍သူတစ်ယောက်တည်းကျန်ရစ်သည်။ ငါသည် အသက်အရွယ်အိုမင်းပါပြီ။ အကယ်၍ခရီး လမ်းတွင်သူသည်ဘေးဥပဒ်နှင့်တွေ့ကြုံရ သော် ငါသည်ဝမ်းနည်းကြေကွဲလျက်သေ ရပါမည်'' ဟုဆိုလေ၏။ (Sheol h7585)
