< Ezekiel 40 >
1 In the five and twentieth year of our captivity, in the beginning of the year, in the tenth day of the month, in the fourteenth year after that the city was struck, in the same day, the hand of Jehovah was on me, and he brought me there.
Ku ntandikwa ey’omwaka ogw’amakumi abiri mu etaano nga tuli mu buwaŋŋanguse, ku lunaku lw’omwezi ogw’ekkumi, oluvannyuma lw’emyaka kkumi n’ena ng’ekibuga kigudde, omukono gwa Mukama ne gunzikako ku lunaku olwo lwennyini, n’antwalayo.
2 In the visions of God brought he me into the land of Israel, and set me down on a very high mountain, whereon was as it were the frame of a city on the south.
Mu kwolesebwa, Katonda n’antwala mu nsi ya Isirayiri n’anteeka ku luuyi olw’Obukiikaddyo obw’olusozi oluwanvu ennyo okwali ebizimbe ebyali ng’ekibuga.
3 He brought me there; and, look, there was a man, whose appearance was like the appearance of bronze, with a line of flax in his hand, and a measuring reed; and he stood in the gate.
N’antwala eyo, ne ndaba omusajja, ng’alabika ng’ayakolebwa mu kikomo, ng’ayimiridde mu mulyango ng’akutte omuguwa ogwa linena n’oluti olupima.
4 The man said to me, "Son of man, see with your eyes, and hear with your ears, and set your heart on all that I shall show you; for, to the intent that I may show them to you, you are brought here: declare all that you see to the house of Israel."
Omusajja n’aŋŋamba nti, “Omwana w’omuntu, tunula n’amaaso go owulire n’amatu go osseeyo omwoyo ku buli kye nnaakulaga, kyovudde oleetebwa wano. Byonna by’onoolaba obitegeeze ennyumba ya Isirayiri.”
5 Look, a wall on the outside of the house all around, and in the man's hand a measuring reed ten feet four inches (based on a standard eighteen inches plus three inches). So he measured the thickness of the building ten feet four inches, and the height ten feet four inches.
Ne ndaba bbugwe okwetooloola ekifo kya yeekaalu. Obuwanvu bw’oluti olupima olwali mu mukono gw’omusajja lwali emikono mukaaga, nga mita ssatu. Buli mukono gwali nga kitundu kya mita. N’apima bbugwe ng’omubiri gwayo mita ssatu, n’obugulumivu bwayo mita ssatu.
6 Then came he to the gate which looks toward the east, and went up its steps: and he measured the threshold of the gate, ten feet four inches broad; and the other threshold, ten feet four inches broad.
Oluvannyuma n’alaga ku mulyango ogutunuulira Ebuvanjuba, n’alinnya amadaala n’apima omuziziko ogusooka ogw’omu mulyango, nga guli oluti lumu, ze mita ssatu.
7 Every side-room was ten feet four inches long, and one reed broad; and the space between the side-rooms was eight feet seven inches; and the threshold of the gate by the porch of the gate at the inner end was ten feet four inches.

Ekipimo ekyo tekitwaliramu kisasi.
15 From the forefront of the gate at the entrance to the forefront of the inner porch of the gate were eighty-six feet one inch.

N’aŋŋamba nti, “Ekisenge ekyolekera Obukiikaddyo, kya bakabona abavunaanyizibwa yeekaalu,
46 and the room that faces toward the north is for the priests, the keepers of the duty of the altar: these are the sons of Zadok, who from among the sons of Levi come near to Jehovah to minister to him."
