Ephesians 3
1 For this cause I, Paul, am the prisoner of Christ Jesus on behalf of you the non-Jews,
因此，我保祿為你們外邦人的緣故，作基督耶穌囚犯的，為你們祈禱──
2 if it is so that you have heard of the administration of that grace of God which was given me toward you;
想你們必聽說過天主的恩寵，為了你們賜與我的職分：
3 how that by revelation the mystery was made known to me, as I wrote before in few words,
就是藉著啟示，使我得知我在上邊已大略寫過的奧祕；
4 by which, when you read, you can perceive my understanding in the mystery of Christ;
你們照著讀了，便能明白我對基督的奧祕所有的了解，
5 which in other generations was not made known to people, as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit;
這奧祕在以前的世代中，沒有告訴過任何人，有如現在一樣，藉聖神已啟示給祂的聖宗徒和先知；
6 that the non-Jews are fellow heirs, and fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the Good News,
這奧祕就是：外邦人藉著福音在基督耶穌內與猶太人同為承繼人，同為一身，同恩許的分享人。
7 of which I was made a servant, according to the gift of that grace of God which was given me according to the working of his power.
至於我，我依照天主大能的功效所賜與我的恩寵，作了這福音的僕役；
8 To me, the very least of all saints, was this grace given, to proclaim to the non-Jews the unsearchable riches of Christ,
我原是一切聖徒中最小的，竟蒙受了這恩寵，得向外邦宣布基督那不可測量的豐富福音，
9 and to bring to light for all what is the administration of the mystery which for ages has been hidden in God, who created all things; (aiōn g165)
並光照一切人，使他們明白，從創世以來，即隱藏在創造萬有的天主內的奧祕， (aiōn g165)
10 to the intent that now through the church the manifold wisdom of God might be made known to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly places,
為使天上的率領者和掌權者，現在藉著教，得知天主的各樣智慧，
全是按照祂在我們的主基督耶穌內所實現的永遠計畫； (aiōn g165)
12 in whom we have boldness and access in confidence through our faith in him.
所以只有在基督內，我們才可藉著對祂所懷的信德，放心大膽地懷著依恃之心，進到天主面前。
13 Therefore I ask that you not be discouraged because of my sufferings for you, which is your glory.
為此，我請求你們，不要因我為你們所受的苦難而沮喪，我的苦難原是你們的光榮。
14 For this cause, I bow my knees before the Father,
因此，我在天父面前屈膝──
15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named,
上天下地的一切家族都是由祂而得名──
16 that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, that you may be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inner person;
求祂依照祂豐富的光榮，藉著祂的聖神，以大能堅固你們內在的人，
17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; to the end that you, being rooted and grounded in love,
並使基督因著你們的信德，住在你們心中，叫你們在愛德上根深蒂固，奠定基礎，
18 may be strengthened to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,
為使你們能夠同眾聖徒領悟基督的愛是怎樣的廣、寬、高、深，
19 and to know Christ's love which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
並知道基督的愛是遠超人所能知的，為叫你們充滿天主的一切富裕。
20 Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,
願光榮歸於天主，祂能照祂在我們身上所發揮的德能，成就一切，遠超我們所求所想的。
