Ephesians 2
1 You were made alive when you were dead in your transgressions and sins,
汝ら前には咎と罪とによりて死にたる者にして、
2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the children of disobedience; (aiōn g165)
この世の習慣に從ひ、空中の權を執る宰、すなはち不 從順の子らの中に今なほ働く靈の宰にしたがひて歩めり。 (aiōn g165)
3 among whom we also all once lived in the lust of our flesh, doing the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.
我等もみな前には彼らの中にをり、肉の慾に從ひて日をおくり、肉と心との欲する隨をなし、他の者のごとく生れながら怒の子なりき。
4 But God, being rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us,
されど神は憐憫に富み給ふが故に、我らを愛する大なる愛をもて、
5 even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),
咎によりて死にたる我等をすら、キリスト・イエスに由りてキリストと共に活し、（汝らの救はれしは恩惠によれり）
6 and raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
共に甦へらせ、共に天の處に坐せしめ給へり。
7 that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus; (aiōn g165)
これキリスト・イエスに由りて我らに施したまふ仁慈をもて、其の恩惠の極めて大なる富を、來らんとする後の世々に顯さんとてなり。 (aiōn g165)
8 for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
汝らは恩惠により、信仰によりて救はれたり、是おのれに由るにあらず、神の賜物なり。
9 not of works, that no one would boast.
行爲に由るにあらず、これ誇る者のなからん爲なり。
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them.
我らは神に造られたる者にして、神の預じめ備へ給ひし善き業に歩むべく、キリスト・イエスの中に造られたるなり。
11 Therefore remember that once you, the non-Jews in the flesh, who are called "uncircumcision" by that which is called "circumcision," (in the flesh, made by hands);
されば記憶せよ、肉によりては異邦人にして、手にて肉に行ひたるかの割禮ありと稱ふる者に無 割禮と稱へらるる汝ら、
12 that you were at that time separate from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, having no hope and without God in the world.
曩にはキリストなく、イスラエルの民 籍に遠く、約束に屬する諸般の契約に與りなく、世に在りて希望なく、神なき者なりき。
13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
されど前に遠かりし汝ら今キリスト・イエスに在りて、キリストの血によりて近づくことを得たり。
14 For he is our peace, who made both one, and broke down the middle wall of partition,
彼は我らの平和にして、己が肉により、樣々の誡命の規より成る律法を廢して、二つのものを一つとなし、怨なる隔の中籬を毀ち給へり。これは二つのものを己に於て一つの新しき人に造りて平和をなし、
15 having abolished in the flesh the hostility, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man of the two, making peace;
彼は我らの平和にして、己が肉により、樣々の誡命の規より成る律法を廢して、二つのものを一つとなし、怨なる隔の中籬を毀ち給へり。これは二つのものを己に於て一つの新しき人に造りて平和をなし、
16 and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by which he put to death their enmity.
十字架によりて怨を滅し、また之によりて二つのものを一つの體となして神と和がしめん爲なり。
17 He came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near.
かつ來りて、遠かりし汝 等にも平和を宣べ、近きものにも平和を宣べ給へり。
18 For through him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father.
そはキリストによりて我ら二つのもの一つ御靈にありて父に近づくことを得たればなり。
19 So then you are no longer foreigners and noncitizens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God,
されば汝 等はもはや旅人また寄寓人にあらず、聖徒と同じ國人また神の家族なり。
20 being built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the chief cornerstone;
汝らは使徒と預言者との基の上に建てられたる者にして、キリスト・イエス自らその隅の首石たり。
21 in whom the whole building, fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord;
おのおのの建造物、かれに在りて建て合せられ、彌増に聖なる宮、主のうちに成るなり。
22 in whom you also are built together for a habitation of God in the Spirit.
汝 等もキリストに在りて共に建てられ、御靈によりて神の御住となるなり。
