Colossians 1
1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus through the will of God, and Timothy our brother,
Pablo, apóstol de Cristo Jesús por la voluntad de Dios, y Timoteo nuestro hermano,
2 to the saints and faithful brothers in Christ at Colossae: Grace to you and peace from God our Father.
a los santos y fieles hermanos en Cristo de Colosas: Gracia a vosotros y paz de parte de Dios nuestro Padre y del Señor Jesucristo.
3 We give thanks to God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,
Damos gracias a Dios Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, orando siempre por vosotros,
4 having heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which you have toward all the saints,
habiendo oído de vuestra fe en Cristo Jesús y del amor que tenéis hacia todos los santos,
5 because of the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, of which you heard before in the word of truth, the Good News,
a causa de la esperanza que os está reservada en los cielos, de la cual habéis oído antes en la palabra de la verdad de la Buena Nueva
6 which has come to you; even as it is in all the world and is bearing fruit and growing, as it does in you also, since the day you heard and knew the grace of God in truth;
que os ha llegado, así como está en todo el mundo y da fruto y crece, como lo hace también en vosotros, desde el día en que oísteis y conocisteis la gracia de Dios en la verdad,
7 even as you learned of Epaphras our beloved fellow servant, who is a faithful servant of Christ on our behalf,
así como lo aprendisteis de Epafras, nuestro amado consiervo, que es un fiel servidor de Cristo en favor vuestro,
8 who also declared to us your love in the Spirit.
que también nos declaró vuestro amor en el Espíritu.
9 For this cause, we also, since the day we heard this, do not cease praying and making requests for you, that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,
Por esta razón, nosotros también, desde el día en que oímos esto, no cesamos de orar y de pedir por vosotros, para que seáis llenos del conocimiento de su voluntad en toda sabiduría e inteligencia espirituales,
10 that you may walk worthily of the Lord, to please him in every way, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
a fin de que andéis dignamente del Señor, para agradarle en todo, llevando fruto en toda buena obra y creciendo en el conocimiento de Dios,
11 strengthened with all power, according to the might of his glory, for all endurance and perseverance with joy;
fortalecidos con todo poder según el poder de su gloria, para toda resistencia y perseverancia con alegría,
12 giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the light;
dando gracias al Padre, que nos hizo aptos para ser partícipes de la herencia de los santos en la luz,
13 who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of his love;
que nos libró del poder de las tinieblas y nos trasladó al Reino del Hijo de su amor,
14 in whom we have our redemption, the forgiveness of our sins;
en quien tenemos nuestra redención, el perdón de nuestros pecados.
15 who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.
Él es la imagen del Dios invisible, el primogénito de toda la creación.
16 For by him all things were created, in the heavens and on the earth, things visible and things invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities; all things have been created by him and for him.
Porque por él fueron creadas todas las cosas en los cielos y en la tierra, las visibles y las invisibles, sean tronos, sean dominios, sean principados, sean potestades. Todo ha sido creado por medio de él y para él.
17 He is before all things, and in him all things are held together.
Él es antes de todas las cosas, y en él se mantienen todas las cosas.
18 He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
Él es la cabeza del cuerpo, la asamblea, que es el principio, el primogénito de entre los muertos, para que en todo tenga la preeminencia.
19 For all the fullness was pleased to dwell in him,
Porque toda la plenitud se complació en habitar en él,
20 and through him to reconcile all things to himself, making peace through the blood of his cross through him, whether things on the earth or things in heaven.
y por medio de él reconciliar consigo todas las cosas, tanto las que están en la tierra como las que están en los cielos, haciendo la paz mediante la sangre de su cruz.
21 You, who once were alienated and were hostile in your minds, doing evil deeds,
Vosotros, que en tiempos pasados estabais enajenados y erais enemigos en vuestra mente por vuestras malas acciones,
22 yet now he has reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and without blemish and blameless before him,
sin embargo, ahora os ha reconciliado en el cuerpo de su carne por medio de la muerte, para presentaros santos y sin defecto e irreprochables ante él,
23 if it is so that you continue in the faith, established and firm, and not moved away from the hope of the Good News which you heard, which is being proclaimed in all creation under heaven; of which I, Paul, have become a servant.
si es que permanecéis en la fe, cimentados y firmes, y no os apartáis de la esperanza de la Buena Nueva que habéis oído, que se proclama en toda la creación bajo el cielo, de la cual yo, Pablo, fui hecho servidor.
24 Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and I am completing in my flesh what is lacking in the sufferings of Christ for the sake of his body, which is the church;
Ahora me regocijo en mis padecimientos por causa de ustedes, y lleno por mi parte lo que falta de las aflicciones de Cristo en mi carne por causa de su cuerpo, que es la asamblea,
25 of which I was made a servant, according to the stewardship of God which was given me toward you, to fulfill the word of God,
de la cual fui hecho siervo según la administración de Dios que me fue dada para con ustedes para cumplir la palabra de Dios,
26 the mystery which has been hidden for ages and generations. But now it has been revealed to his saints. (aiōn g165)
el misterio que ha estado oculto por siglos y generaciones. Pero ahora ha sido revelado a sus santos, (aiōn g165)
27 To them God was pleased to make known the glorious riches of this mystery among the non-Jews, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory;
a quienes Dios quiso dar a conocer cuáles son las riquezas de la gloria de este misterio entre los gentiles, que es Cristo en vosotros, la esperanza de la gloria.
28 whom we proclaim, admonishing everyone and teaching everyone all wisdom, that we may present everyone perfect in Christ Jesus;
Nosotros lo anunciamos, amonestando a todo hombre y enseñando a todo hombre con toda sabiduría, a fin de presentar a todo hombre perfecto en Cristo Jesús;
29 for which I also labor, struggling according to his power, which works in me mightily.
para lo cual también trabajo, esforzándome según su obra, que actúa poderosamente en mí.
