1 If then you were raised together with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated on the right hand of God.

2 Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are on the earth.
paarthivavi. saye. su na yatamaanaa uurddhvasthavi. saye. su yatadhva. m|
3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
yato yuuya. m m. rtavanto yu. smaaka. m jiivita nca khrii. s.tena saarddham ii"svare guptam asti|
4 When Christ, your life, is revealed, then you will also be revealed with him in glory.
asmaaka. m jiivanasvaruupa. h khrii. s.to yadaa prakaa"si. syate tadaa tena saarddha. m yuuyamapi vibhavena prakaa"si. syadhve|
5 Put to death, therefore, whatever is worldly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.
ato ve"syaagamanam a"sucikriyaa raaga. h kutsitaabhilaa. so devapuujaatulyo lobha"scaitaani rpaathavapuru. sasyaa"ngaani yu. smaabhi rnihanyantaa. m|
6 Because of these, the wrath of God is coming on the children of disobedience.
yata etebhya. h karmmabhya aaj naala"nghino lokaan pratii"svarasya krodho varttate|
7 You also once walked in those, when you lived in them;
puurvva. m yadaa yuuya. m taanyupaajiivata tadaa yuuyamapi taanyevaacarata;
8 but now you also put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and shameful speaking out of your mouth.
kintvidaanii. m krodho ro. so jihi. msi. saa durmukhataa vadananirgatakadaalapa"scaitaani sarvvaa. ni duuriikurudhva. m|
9 Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old self with its practices,
yuuya. m paraspara. m m. r.saakathaa. m na vadata yato yuuya. m svakarmmasahita. m puraatanapuru. sa. m tyaktavanta. h
10 and have put on the new self, who is being renewed in knowledge after the image of his Creator,
svasra. s.tu. h pratimuurtyaa tattvaj naanaaya nuutaniik. rta. m naviinapuru. sa. m parihitavanta"sca|
11 where there cannot be Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, slave, freeman; but Christ is all, and in all.
tena ca yihuudibhinnajaatiiyayo"schinnatvagacchinnatvaco rmlecchaskuthiiyayo rdaasamuktayo"sca ko. api vi"se. so naasti kintu sarvve. su sarvva. h khrii. s.ta evaaste|
12 Put on therefore, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, gentleness, humility, and patience;
ataeva yuuyam ii"svarasya manobhila. sitaa. h pavitraa. h priyaa"sca lokaa iva snehayuktaam anukampaa. m hitai. sitaa. m namrataa. m titik. saa. m sahi. s.nutaa nca paridhaddhva. m|
13 bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as the Lord forgave you, so you also do.
yuuyam ekaikasyaacara. na. m sahadhva. m yena ca yasya kimapyaparaadhyate tasya ta. m do. sa. m sa k. samataa. m, khrii. s.to yu. smaaka. m do. saan yadvad k. samitavaan yuuyamapi tadvat kurudhva. m|
14 Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection.
vi"se. sata. h siddhijanakena premabandhanena baddhaa bhavata|
15 And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.
yasyaa. h praaptaye yuuyam ekasmin "sariire samaahuutaa abhavata se"svariiyaa "saanti ryu. smaaka. m manaa. msyadhiti. s.thatu yuuya nca k. rtaj naa bhavata|
16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart to God.
khrii. s.tasya vaakya. m sarvvavidhaj naanaaya sampuur. naruupe. na yu. smadantare nivamatu, yuuya nca giitai rgaanai. h paaramaarthikasa"nkiirttanai"sca parasparam aadi"sata prabodhayata ca, anug. rhiitatvaat prabhum uddi"sya svamanobhi rgaayata ca|
17 Whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father, through him.
vaacaa karmma. naa vaa yad yat kuruta tat sarvva. m prabho ryii"so rnaamnaa kuruta tena pitaram ii"svara. m dhanya. m vadata ca|
18 Wives, be in subjection to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.
he yo. sita. h, yuuya. m svaaminaa. m va"syaa bhavata yatastadeva prabhave rocate|
19 Husbands, love your wives, and do not be bitter against them.
he svaamina. h, yuuya. m bhaaryyaasu priiyadhva. m taa. h prati paru. saalaapa. m maa kurudhva. m|
20 Children, obey your parents in all things, for this pleases the Lord.
he baalaa. h, yuuya. m sarvvavi. saye pitroraaj naagraahi. no bhavata yatastadeva prabho. h santo. sajanaka. m|
21 Fathers, do not provoke your children, so that they won't be discouraged.
he pitara. h, yu. smaaka. m santaanaa yat kaataraa na bhaveyustadartha. m taan prati maa ro. sayata|
22 Servants, obey in all things those who are your masters according to the flesh, not just when they are looking, as people-pleasers, but in singleness of heart, fearing the Lord.
he daasaa. h, yuuya. m sarvvavi. saya aihikaprabhuunaam aaj naagraahi. no bhavata d. r.s. tigocariiyasevayaa maanavebhyo rocitu. m maa yatadhva. m kintu saralaanta. hkara. nai. h prabho rbhaatyaa kaaryya. m kurudhva. m|
23 And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for people,
yacca kurudhve tat maanu. samanuddi"sya prabhum uddi"sya praphullamanasaa kurudhva. m,
24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.
yato vaya. m prabhuta. h svargaadhikaararuupa. m phala. m lapsyaamaha iti yuuya. m jaaniitha yasmaad yuuya. m prabho. h khrii. s.tasya daasaa bhavatha|
25 But he who does wrong will receive again for the wrong that he has done, and there is no partiality.
kintu ya. h ka"scid anucita. m karmma karoti sa tasyaanucitakarmma. na. h phala. m lapsyate tatra ko. api pak. sapaato na bhavi. syati|
