< Acts 9 >

1 But Saul, still breathing threats and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest,
تَتْکالَپَرْیَّنَتَں شَولَح پْرَبھوح شِشْیاناں پْراتِکُولْیینَ تاڈَنابَدھَیوح کَتھاں نِحسارَیَنْ مَہایاجَکَسْیَ سَنِّدھِں گَتْوا
2 and asked for letters from him to the synagogues of Damascus, that if he found any who were of the Way, whether men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem.
سْتْرِیَں پُرُشَنْچَ تَنْمَتَگْراہِنَں یَں کَنْچِتْ پَشْیَتِ تانْ دھرِتْوا بَدّھوا یِرُوشالَمَمْ آنَیَتِیتْیاشَیینَ دَمّیشَکْنَگَرِییَں دھَرْمَّسَماجانْ پْرَتِ پَتْرَں یاچِتَوانْ۔
3 As he traveled, it happened that he got close to Damascus, and suddenly a light from the sky shone around him.
گَچّھَنْ تُ دَمّیشَکْنَگَرَنِکَٹَ اُپَسْتھِتَوانْ؛ تَتوکَسْمادْ آکاشاتْ تَسْیَ چَتُرْدِکْشُ تیجَسَح پْرَکاشَناتْ سَ بھُوماوَپَتَتْ۔
4 And he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, "Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?"
پَشْچاتْ ہے شَولَ ہے شَولَ کُتو ماں تاڈَیَسِ؟ سْوَں پْرَتِ پْروکْتَمْ ایتَں شَبْدَں شْرُتْوا
5 And he said, "Who are you, Lord?" And he said, "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.
سَ پرِشْٹَوانْ، ہے پْرَبھو بھَوانْ کَح؟ تَدا پْرَبھُرَکَتھَیَتْ یَں یِیشُں تْوَں تاڈَیَسِ سَ ایواہَں؛ کَنْٹَکَسْیَ مُکھے پَداگھاتَکَرَنَں تَوَ کَشْٹَمْ۔
6 But rise up, and enter into the city, and you will be told what you must do."
تَدا کَمْپَمانو وِسْمَیاپَنَّشْچَ سووَدَتْ ہے پْرَبھو مَیا کِں کَرْتَّوْیَں؟ بھَوَتَ اِچّھا کا؟ تَتَح پْرَبھُراجْناپَیَدْ اُتّھایَ نَگَرَں گَچّھَ تَتْرَ تْوَیا یَتْ کَرْتَّوْیَں تَدْ وَدِشْیَتے۔
7 The men who traveled with him stood speechless, hearing the sound, but seeing no one.
تَسْیَ سَنْگِنو لوکا اَپِ تَں شَبْدَں شْرُتَوَنْتَح کِنْتُ کَمَپِ نَ درِشْٹْوا سْتَبْدھاح سَنْتَح سْتھِتَوَنْتَح۔
8 Saul arose from the ground, but when he opened his eyes he could not see anything. They led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus.
اَنَنْتَرَں شَولو بھُومِتَ اُتّھایَ چَکْشُشِی اُنْمِیلْیَ کَمَپِ نَ درِشْٹَوانْ۔ تَدا لوکاسْتَسْیَ ہَسْتَو دھرِتْوا دَمّیشَکْنَگَرَمْ آنَیَنْ۔
9 He was without sight for three days, and neither ate nor drank.
تَتَح سَ دِنَتْرَیَں یاوَدْ اَنْدھو بھُوتْوا نَ بھُکْتَوانْ پِیتَواںشْچَ۔
10 Now there was a certain disciple at Damascus named Ananias. The Lord said to him in a vision, "Ananias." And he said, "Look, it's me, Lord."
تَدَنَنْتَرَں پْرَبھُسْتَدَّمّیشَکْنَگَرَواسِنَ ایکَسْمَے شِشْیایَ دَرْشَنَں دَتْوا آہُوتَوانْ ہے اَنَنِیَ۔ تَتَح سَ پْرَتْیَوادِیتْ، ہے پْرَبھو پَشْیَ شرِنومِ۔
11 The Lord said to him, "Arise, and go to the street which is called Straight, and inquire in the house of Judas for one named Saul, a man of Tarsus. For look, he is praying,
تَدا پْرَبھُسْتَماجْناپَیَتْ تْوَمُتّھایَ سَرَلَنامانَں مارْگَں گَتْوا یِہُودانِویشَنے تارْشَنَگَرِییَں شَولَنامانَں جَنَں گَویشَیَنْ پرِچّھَ؛
12 and in a vision he has seen a man named Ananias coming in, and laying his hands on him, that he might receive his sight."
پَشْیَ سَ پْرارْتھَیَتے، تَتھا اَنَنِیَنامَکَ ایکو جَنَسْتَسْیَ سَمِیپَمْ آگَتْیَ تَسْیَ گاتْرے ہَسْتارْپَنَں کرِتْوا درِشْٹِں دَداتِیتّھَں سْوَپْنے درِشْٹَوانْ۔
13 But Ananias answered, "Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much evil he did to your saints at Jerusalem.
تَسْمادْ اَنَنِیَح پْرَتْیَوَدَتْ ہے پْرَبھو یِرُوشالَمِ پَوِتْرَلوکانْ پْرَتِ سونیکَہِںساں کرِتَوانْ؛
14 Here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all who call on your name."
اَتْرَ سْتھانے چَ یے لوکاسْتَوَ نامْنِ پْرارْتھَیَنْتِ تانَپِ بَدّھُں سَ پْرَدھانَیاجَکیبھْیَح شَکْتِں پْراپْتَوانْ، اِماں کَتھامْ اَہَمْ اَنیکیشاں مُکھیبھْیَح شْرُتَوانْ۔
15 But the Lord said to him, "Go your way, for he is my chosen vessel to bear my name before the nations and kings, and the children of Israel.
کِنْتُ پْرَبھُرَکَتھَیَتْ، یاہِ بھِنَّدیشِییَلوکاناں بھُوپَتِینامْ اِسْراییلّوکانانْچَ نِکَٹے مَمَ نامَ پْرَچارَیِتُں سَ جَنو مَمَ مَنونِیتَپاتْرَماسْتے۔
16 For I will show him how many things he must suffer for my name's sake."
مَمَ نامَنِمِتَّنْچَ تینَ کِیانْ مَہانْ کْلیشو بھوکْتَوْیَ ایتَتْ تَں دَرْشَیِشْیامِ۔
17 Ananias departed, and entered into the house. Laying his hands on him, he said, "Brother Saul, the Lord, who appeared to you on the road by which you came, has sent me, that you may receive your sight, and be filled with the Holy Spirit."
تَتو نَنِیو گَتْوا گرِہَں پْرَوِشْیَ تَسْیَ گاتْرے ہَسْتارْپْرَنَں کرِتْوا کَتھِتَوانْ، ہے بھْراتَح شَولَ تْوَں یَتھا درِشْٹِں پْراپْنوشِ پَوِتْریناتْمَنا پَرِپُورْنو بھَوَسِ چَ، تَدَرْتھَں تَواگَمَنَکالے یَح پْرَبھُیِیشُسْتُبھْیَں دَرْشَنَمْ اَدَداتْ سَ ماں پْریشِتَوانْ۔
18 Immediately something like scales fell from his eyes, and he received his sight. He arose and was baptized.
اِتْیُکْتَماتْرے تَسْیَ چَکْشُرْبھْیامْ مِینَشَلْکَوَدْ وَسْتُنِ نِرْگَتے تَتْکْشَناتْ سَ پْرَسَنَّچَکْشُ رْبھُوتْوا پْروتّھایَ مَجِّتوبھَوَتْ بھُکْتْوا پِیتْوا سَبَلوبھَوَچَّ۔
19 He took food and was strengthened. He stayed several days with the disciples who were at Damascus.
تَتَح پَرَں شَولَح شِشْیَیح سَہَ کَتِپَیَدِوَسانْ تَسْمِنْ دَمّیشَکَنَگَرے سْتھِتْواوِلَمْبَں
20 Immediately in the synagogues he proclaimed Jesus, that he is the Son of God.
سَرْوَّبھَجَنَبھَوَنانِ گَتْوا یِیشُرِیشْوَرَسْیَ پُتْرَ اِماں کَتھاں پْراچارَیَتْ۔
21 All who heard him were amazed, and said, "Is not this he who in Jerusalem made havoc of those who called on this name? And he had come here intending to bring them bound before the chief priests."
تَسْماتْ سَرْوّے شْروتارَشْچَمَتْکرِتْیَ کَتھِتَوَنْتو یو یِرُوشالَمْنَگَرَ ایتَنّامْنا پْرارْتھَیِترِلوکانْ وِناشِتَوانْ ایوَمْ ایتادرِشَلوکانْ بَدّھوا پْرَدھانَیاجَکَنِکَٹَں نَیَتِیتْیاشَیا ایتَتْسْتھانَمَپْیاگَچّھَتْ سَایوَ کِمَیَں نَ بھَوَتِ؟
22 But Saul increased more in strength, and confounded the Jews who lived at Damascus, proving that this is the Christ.
کِنْتُ شَولَح کْرَمَشَ اُتْساہَوانْ بھُوتْوا یِیشُرِیشْوَرینابھِشِکْتو جَنَ ایتَسْمِنْ پْرَمانَں دَتْوا دَمّیشَکْ-نِواسِیِہُودِییَلوکانْ نِرُتَّرانْ اَکَروتْ۔
23 When many days were fulfilled, the Jews conspired together to kill him,
اِتّھَں بَہُتِتھے کالے گَتے یِہُودِییَلوکاسْتَں ہَنْتُں مَنْتْرَیاماسُح
24 but their plot became known to Saul. They watched the gates both day and night that they might kill him,
کِنْتُ شَولَسْتیشامیتَسْیا مَنْتْرَنایا وارْتّاں پْراپْتَوانْ۔ تے تَں ہَنْتُں تُ دِوانِشَں گُپْتاح سَنْتو نَگَرَسْیَ دْوارےتِشْٹھَنْ؛
25 but his disciples took him by night, and let him down through the wall, lowering him in a basket.
تَسْماتْ شِشْیاسْتَں نِیتْوا راتْرَو پِٹَکے نِدھایَ پْراچِیریناواروہَیَنْ۔
26 When Saul had come to Jerusalem, he tried to join himself to the disciples; but they were all afraid of him, not believing that he was a disciple.
تَتَح پَرَں شَولو یِرُوشالَمَں گَتْوا شِشْیَگَنینَ سارْدّھَں سْتھاتُمْ اَیہَتْ، کِنْتُ سَرْوّے تَسْمادَبِبھَیُح سَ شِشْیَ اِتِ چَ نَ پْرَتْیَیَنْ۔
27 But Barnabas took him, and brought him to the apostles, and declared to them how he had seen the Lord in the way, and that he had spoken to him, and how at Damascus he had preached boldly in the name of Jesus.
ایتَسْمادْ بَرْنَبّاسْتَں گرِہِیتْوا پْریرِتاناں سَمِیپَمانِییَ مارْگَمَدھْیے پْرَبھُح کَتھَں تَسْمَے دَرْشَنَں دَتَّوانْ یاح کَتھاشْچَ کَتھِتَوانْ سَ چَ یَتھاکْشوبھَح سَنْ دَمّیشَکْنَگَرے یِیشو رْنامَ پْراچارَیَتْ ایتانْ سَرْوَّورِتّانْتانْ تانْ جْناپِتَوانْ۔
28 He was with them coming in and going out in Jerusalem, speaking boldly in the name of the Lord.
تَتَح شَولَسْتَیح سَہَ یِرُوشالَمِ کالَں یاپَیَنْ نِرْبھَیَں پْرَبھو رْیِیشو رْنامَ پْراچارَیَتْ۔
29 He spoke and disputed against the Hellenists, but they were seeking to kill him.
تَسْمادْ اَنْیَدیشِییَلوکَیح سارْدّھَں وِوادَسْیوپَسْتھِتَتْواتْ تے تَں ہَنْتُمْ اَچیشْٹَنْتَ۔
30 When the brothers knew it, they brought him down to Caesarea, and sent him off to Tarsus.
کِنْتُ بھْراترِگَنَسْتَجّناتْوا تَں کَیسَرِیانَگَرَں نِیتْوا تارْشَنَگَرَں پْریشِتَوانْ۔
31 So the church throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace, and were built up. They were multiplied, walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit.
اِتّھَں سَتِ یِہُودِیاگالِیلْشومِرونَدیشِییاح سَرْوّا مَنْڈَلْیو وِشْرامَں پْراپْتاسْتَتَسْتاساں نِشْٹھابھَوَتْ پْرَبھو رْبھِیا پَوِتْرَسْیاتْمَنَح سانْتْوَنَیا چَ کالَں کْشیپَیِتْوا بَہُسَںکھْیا اَبھَوَنْ۔
32 It happened, as Peter went throughout all those parts, he came down also to the saints who lived at Lydda.
تَتَح پَرَں پِتَرَح سْتھانے سْتھانے بھْرَمِتْوا شیشے لودْنَگَرَنِواسِپَوِتْرَلوکاناں سَمِیپے سْتھِتَوانْ۔
33 There he found a certain man named Aeneas, who had been bedridden for eight years, because he was paralyzed.
تَدا تَتْرَ پَکْشاگھاتَوْیادھِناشْٹَو وَتْسَرانْ شَیّاگَتَمْ اَینییَنامانَں مَنُشْیَں ساکْشَتْ پْراپْیَ تَمَوَدَتْ،
34 Peter said to him, "Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you. Get up and make your bed." Immediately he arose.
ہے اَینییَ یِیشُکھْرِیشْٹَسْتْواں سْوَسْتھَمْ اَکارْشِیتْ، تْوَمُتّھایَ سْوَشَیّاں نِکْشِپَ، اِتْیُکْتَماتْرے سَ اُدَتِشْٹھَتْ۔
35 All who lived at Lydda and in Sharon saw him, and they turned to the Lord.
ایتادرِشَں درِشْٹْوا لودْشارونَنِواسِنو لوکاح پْرَبھُں پْرَتِ پَراوَرْتَّنْتَ۔
36 Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha (which when translated, means Dorcas). This woman was full of good works and acts of mercy which she did.
اَپَرَنْچَ بھِکْشادانادِشُ نانَکْرِیاسُ نِتْیَں پْرَورِتّا یا یاپھونَگَرَنِواسِنِی ٹابِتھاناما شِشْیا یاں دَرْکّاں اَرْتھادْ ہَرِنِیمَیُکْتْوا آہْوَیَنْ سا نارِی
37 It happened in those days that she fell sick, and died. When they had washed her, they placed her in an upper chamber.
تَسْمِنْ سَمَیے رُگْنا سَتِی پْرانانْ اَتْیَجَتْ، تَتو لوکاسْتاں پْرَکْشالْیوپَرِسْتھَپْرَکوشْٹھے شایَیِتْواسْتھاپَیَنْ۔
38 As Lydda was near Joppa, the disciples, hearing that Peter was there, sent two men to him, imploring him not to delay in coming to us.
لودْنَگَرَں یاپھونَگَرَسْیَ سَمِیپَسْتھَں تَسْماتَّتْرَ پِتَرَ آسْتے، اِتِ وارْتّاں شْرُتْوا تُورْنَں تَسْیاگَمَنارْتھَں تَسْمِنْ وِنَیَمُکْتْوا شِشْیَگَنو دْوَو مَنُجَو پْریشِتَوانْ۔
39 Peter got up and went with them. When he had come, they brought him into the upper chamber. All the widows stood by him weeping, and showing the coats and garments which Dorcas had made while she was with them.
تَسْماتْ پِتَرَ اُتّھایَ تابھْیاں سارْدّھَمْ آگَچّھَتْ، تَتْرَ تَسْمِنْ اُپَسْتھِتَ اُپَرِسْتھَپْرَکوشْٹھَں سَمانِیتے چَ وِدھَواح سْوابھِح سَہَ سْتھِتِکالے دَرْکَّیا کرِتانِ یانْیُتَّرِییانِ پَرِدھییانِ چَ تانِ سَرْوّانِ تَں دَرْشَیِتْوا رُدَتْیَشْچَتَسرِشُ دِکْشْوَتِشْٹھَنْ۔
40 Peter put them all out, and kneeled down and prayed. Turning to the body, he said, "Tabitha, get up." She opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter, she sat up.
کِنْتُ پِتَرَسْتاح سَرْوّا بَہِح کرِتْوا جانُنِی پاتَیِتْوا پْرارْتھِتَوانْ؛ پَشْچاتْ شَوَں پْرَتِ درِشْٹِں کرِتْوا کَتھِتَوانْ، ہے ٹابِیتھے تْوَمُتِّشْٹھَ، اِتِ واکْیَ اُکْتے سا سْتْرِی چَکْشُشِی پْرونْمِیلْیَ پِتَرَمْ اَوَلوکْیوتّھایوپاوِشَتْ۔
41 He gave her his hand, and raised her up. Calling the saints and widows, he presented her alive.
تَتَح پِتَرَسْتَسْیاح کَرَو دھرِتْوا اُتّولْیَ پَوِتْرَلوکانْ وِدھَواشْچاہُویَ تیشاں نِکَٹے سَجِیواں تاں سَمارْپَیَتْ۔
42 And it became known throughout all Joppa, and many believed in the Lord.
ایشا کَتھا سَمَسْتَیاپھونَگَرَں وْیاپْتا تَسْمادْ اَنیکے لوکاح پْرَبھَو وْیَشْوَسَنْ۔
43 It happened, that he stayed many days in Joppa with one Simon, a tanner.
اَپَرَنْچَ پِتَرَسْتَدْیاپھونَگَرِییَسْیَ کَسْیَچِتْ شِمونّامْنَشْچَرْمَّکارَسْیَ گرِہے بَہُدِنانِ نْیَوَسَتْ۔
