2 Timothy 4
1 I command you therefore before God and Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom:
Je t’en adjure devant Dieu et le christ Jésus, qui va juger vivants et morts, et par son apparition et par son règne:
2 preach the word; be urgent in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with all patience and teaching.
prêche la parole, insiste en temps et hors de temps, convaincs, reprends, exhorte, avec toute longanimité et doctrine;
3 For the time will come when they will not listen to the sound doctrine, but, having itching ears, will heap up for themselves teachers after their own lusts;
car il y aura un temps où ils ne supporteront pas le sain enseignement; mais, ayant des oreilles qui leur démangent, ils s’amasseront des docteurs selon leurs propres convoitises,
4 and will turn away their ears from the truth, and turn aside to myths.
et ils détourneront leurs oreilles de la vérité et se tourneront vers les fables.
5 But you be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.
Mais toi, sois sobre en toutes choses, endure les souffrances, fais l’œuvre d’un évangéliste, accomplis pleinement ton service;
6 For I am already being offered, and the time of my departure has come.
car, pour moi, je sers déjà de libation, et le temps de mon départ est arrivé;
7 I have fought the good fight. I have finished the course. I have kept the faith.
j’ai combattu le bon combat, j’ai achevé la course, j’ai gardé la foi:
8 From now on, there is stored up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give to me on that day; and not to me only, but also to all those who have loved his appearing.
désormais m’est réservée la couronne de justice, que le Seigneur juste juge me donnera dans ce jour-là, et non seulement à moi, mais aussi à tous ceux qui aiment son apparition.
9 Be diligent to come to me soon,
Empresse-toi de venir bientôt auprès de moi,
10 for Demas left me, having loved this present world, and went to Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, and Titus to Dalmatia. (aiōn g165)

11 Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with you, for he is useful to me for service.
Luc seul est avec moi. Prends Marc et amène-le avec toi, car il m’est utile pour le service.
12 But I sent Tychicus to Ephesus.
Or j’ai envoyé Tychique à Éphèse.
13 Bring the cloak that I left at Troas with Carpus when you come, and the books, especially the parchments.
Quand tu viendras, apporte le manteau que j’ai laissé en Troade chez Carpus, et les livres, spécialement les parchemins.
14 Alexander, the coppersmith, did much evil to me. The Lord will repay him according to his works,
Alexandre, l’ouvrier en cuivre, a montré envers moi beaucoup de méchanceté; le Seigneur lui rendra selon ses œuvres.
15 of whom you also must beware; for he greatly opposed our words.
Garde-toi aussi de lui, car il s’est fort opposé à nos paroles.
16 At my first defense, no one came to help me, but all left me. May it not be held against them.
Dans ma première défense, personne n’a été avec moi, mais tous m’ont abandonné: que cela ne leur soit pas imputé.
17 But the Lord stood by me, and strengthened me, that through me the message might be fully proclaimed, and that all the non-Jewish people might hear; and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.
Mais le Seigneur s’est tenu près de moi et m’a fortifié, afin que par moi la prédication soit pleinement accomplie et que toutes les nations l’entendent; et j’ai été délivré de la gueule du lion.
18 And the Lord will deliver me from every evil deed, and will bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
Le Seigneur me délivrera de toute mauvaise œuvre et me conservera pour son royaume céleste. À lui la gloire, aux siècles des siècles! Amen. (aiōn g165)
19 Greet Prisca and Aquila, and the house of Onesiphorus.

20 Erastus remained at Corinth, and I left Trophimus at Miletus, ill.
Éraste est demeuré à Corinthe, et j’ai laissé Trophime malade à Milet.
21 Be diligent to come before winter. Eubulus salutes you, as do Pudens, Linus, Claudia, and all the brothers.
Empresse-toi de venir avant l’hiver. Eubulus et Pudens, et Linus et Claudia, et tous les frères, te saluent.
22 The Lord be with your spirit. Grace be with you.
Le seigneur Jésus Christ soit avec ton esprit. Que la grâce soit avec vous!
