< 2 Samuel 20 >

1 Now there happened to be a worthless man, whose name was Sheba, the son of Bikri, a Benjamite. And he blew the trumpet, and said, "We have no share in David, nor do we have any inheritance in the son of Jesse. Every man to his tents, Israel."
Nakapasamak iti isu met laeng a lugar nga adda iti maysa a manangriribok a managan iti Siba a putot ni Bikri, a Benjaminita. Pinuyotanna ti trumpeta ket kinunana, “Awan ti bingaytayo kenni David, kasta met nga awan ti tawidtayo iti putot ni Jesse. Agawid ketdin ti tunggal maysa iti pagtaenganna diay Israel.”
2 So all Israel deserted David and followed Sheba the son of Bikri, but the men of Judah stayed by their king, from the Jordan to Jerusalem.
Isu a pinanawan amin dagiti Israelita ni David ket sinurotda ni Siba a putot ni Bikri. Ngem sinurot dagiti tattao ti Juda ti ari, manipud iti Jordan agingga idiay Jerusalem.
3 Then David came to his palace at Jerusalem, and the king took the ten women his secondary wives, whom he had left to keep the palace, and placed them under guard, and provided for them, but did not go in to them. So they were kept in confinement until the day of their death, living as widows.
Idi dimteng ni David iti palasiona idiay Jerusalem, innalana dagiti sangapulo nga adipen nga assawana nga imbatina a mangtaripato iti palasio, ket pinagnaedna ida iti balay a nainget ti pannakabantayna. Impaayna dagiti masapsapulda, ngem saannan a kinaidda pay ida. Isu a naiserraanda agingga iti aldaw nga ipapatayda, nagbibiagda a kasda la balo.
4 Then the king said to Amasa, "Summon the men of Judah to me within three days, and be present here yourself."
Ket kinuna ti ari kenni Amasa, “Ummongem dagiti amin a tattao ti Juda iti unos ti tallo nga aldaw; masapul nga addaka met ditoy.”
5 So Amasa went to summon Judah together, but he delayed beyond the set time that had been allotted him.
Isu a napan inayaban ni Amasa dagiti amin a tattao ti Juda, ngem nagtalinaed isuna iti nabaybayag ngem iti ingkeddeng ti ari a tiempo nga imbilinna kenkuana.
6 David said to Abishai, "Now Sheba the son of Bikri will do us more harm than Absalom did. Now then, take your lord's servants with you and pursue after him, otherwise he will get himself to fortified cities and escape from us."
Isu a kinuna ni David kenni Abisai, “Ita, nakarkaronto pay a kinaranggas ti aramiden ni Siba a putot ni Bikri kadatayo ngem ti inaramid ni Absalom. Ikuyogmo dagiti adipen ti apom, dagiti soldadok, ket kamatenyo isuna, ta di ket mangbirok kadagiti natalged a siudad ket makalibas isuna iti panagkitatayo.”
7 So there went out after him Joab's men and the Cherethites and the Pelethites, and all the warriors. And they went out from Jerusalem to pursue Sheba son of Bikri.
Simmaruno ngarud kenkuana dagiti tattao ni Joab, a kaduada dagiti Cheretita ken dagiti Peletita ken dagiti amin a maingel a mannakigubat. Pinanawanda ti Jerusalem tapno kamatenda ni Siba a putot ni Bikri.
8 When they were at the great stone that is in Gibeon, Amasa came to meet them. And Joab was wearing his military attire, and over it was a belt with a dagger in its sheath fastened at his waist, and as he advanced it fell out.
Idi addadan idiay ayan ti dakkel a bato idiay Gabaon, dimteng ni Amasa a sumabat kadakuada. Nakaaruat ni Joab ti kalasag a pakigubat, a pakaibilangan ti barikes iti siketna nga addaan iti nakakaluban a kampilan a nakagalot iti daytoy. Iti panpannagnana nga agpasango, natnag ti kampilan.
9 And Joab said to Amasa, "Is it well with you, my brother?" Then Joab took Amasa by the beard with his right hand to kiss him.
Isu a kinuna ni Joab kenni Amasa, “Naimbag kadi ti amin kenka, kasinsinko?” Siaayat nga iniggaman ni Joab ti barbas ni Amasa babaen iti kannawan nga imana tapno agkanna isuna.
10 But Amasa did not notice the sword that was in Joab's hand. And he stabbed him with it in the abdomen, so that his intestines spilled out on the ground, and he did not do it to him again. Thus he died. Then Joab and Abishai his brother pursued Sheba son of Bikri.
Saan a nadlaw ni Amasa ti imuko nga adda iti kannigid nga ima ni Joab. Dinuyok ni Joab ti buksit ni Amasa ket natnag dagiti bagisna iti daga. Saanen nga inulit pay a dinuyok ni Joab isuna, ket natay ni Amasa. Isu a kinamat ni Joab ken ni Abisai a kabsatna ni Siba a putot ni Bikri.
11 And one of Joab's young men stood beside Amasa and said, "Whoever is the one that favors Joab and whoever belongs to David, follow Joab."
Ket nagtakder iti abay ni Amasa ti maysa kadagiti tattao ni Joab, ken kinuna ti lalaki, “Siasinoman nga umanamong kenni Joab, ken siasinoman a para kenni David, surotenna ni Joab.”
12 But Amasa lay covered with his blood in the midst of the road, and anyone who came by, seeing him, stopped. So when the man saw that all the people stopped, he dragged Amasa from the road into a field and threw a garment over him.
Naidasay ni Amasa a nadigos iti darana iti tengnga ti dalan. Idi nakita ti lalaki a nagtalinaed a nakatakder dagiti tattao, binagkatna ni Amasa manipud iti dalan ket impanna iti tay-ak. Inabbonganna ti lupot isuna gapu ta nakitana a ti tunggal tao a lumabas ket agtakder.
13 When he was removed from the road, all the people followed Joab in pursuit of Sheba son of Bikri.
Kalpasan a naibagkat ni Amasa manipud iti dalan, simmurot amin dagiti tattao kenni Joab a mangkamat kenni Siba a putot ni Bikri.
14 He went through all the tribes of Israel to Abel of Beth Maacah, and all the Bikrites assembled and followed him.
Linabsan ni Siba dagiti amin a tribu ti Israel a nagturong iti Abel, iti Bet Maaca, ken kadagiti amin a daga ti Berites, a naguummong ken kimmamat met kenni Siba.
15 And all the people who were with Joab came and besieged him in Abel of Beth Maacah. And they built a siege ramp against the city, and it stood against the rampart, and they were battering the wall so that it would collapse.
Nakamatanda isuna ket pinalawlawanda isuna idiay Abel ti Bet Maaca. Pinalawlawanda iti nabunton a daga ti igid ti pader ti siudad. Minaso dagiti amin nga armada a kadua ni Joab ti pader tapno marba daytoy. Ket nagpukkaw ti maysa a masirib a babai iti siudad,
16 Then a wise woman called out from the wall, "Listen, listen. Please tell Joab to come here so that I may speak to him.
“Dumngegka, pangaasim ta dumngegka, Joab! Umasidegka kaniak tapno makatungtongka.”
17 So he approached her, and the woman said, "Are you Joab?" And he replied, "I am." Then she said, "Listen to the words of your servant." And he replied, "I'm listening."
Isu nga immasideg ni Joab kenkuana, ket kinuna ti babai, “Sika kadi ni Joab?” Simmungbat isuna, “Siak,” Ket kinuna ti babai kenkuana, “Denggem ti sao daytoy adipenmo.” Insungbatna, “Dumdumngegak.”
18 Then she said, "In the past they used to say, 'Let them inquire in Abel and in Dan whether
Ket nagsao ti babai, “Masansan a maibaga idi un-unana a tiempo, 'Pudno a no dumawatka ti pammagbaga idiay Abel,' ket sulbaren dayta a pammagbaga ti parikutmo.
19 that which the faithful of Israel established has been carried out.' You seek to destroy a city that is a mother in Israel. Why do you want to swallow up the inheritance of Jehovah?"
Dakami ti siudad a maysa kadagiti katatalnaan ken kapupudnoan iti Israel. Padpadasenyo a dadaelen ti siudad nga ina iti Israel. Apay a kayatyo nga alun-onen ti tawid ni Yahweh?”
20 Joab answered, "Far be it from me that I should swallow up or destroy.
Isu a simmungbat ni Joab ket kinunana, “Saan a kasta, saan a kasta kaniak, a rumbeng nga alun-onek wenno dadaelek.
21 That is not the case. But a man of the hill country of Ephraim, Sheba the son of Bikri, has rebelled against king David. Give up him alone and I will withdraw from the city." Then the woman said to Joab, "Look, his head will be thrown to you from the wall."
Saan a pudno dayta. Ngem adda ti lalaki a naggapu iti turod ti pagilian ti Efraim, a managan ti Siba a putot ni Bikri, ket intag-ayna ti imana a maibusor iti ari, maibusor kenni David. Isukoyo isuna, ket pumanawak iti siudad.” Kinuna ti babai kenni Joab, “Maipuruak ti ulona kenka iti ngatoen ti pader.”
22 Then she spoke to all the city with her wise advice, and they cut off the head of Sheba son of Bikri and threw it out to Joab. So he blew the trumpet, and they were dispersed from him, each returning to his home. And Joab went back to Jerusalem to the king.
Ket napan ti babai kadagiti amin a tattao nga ammona. Pinutedda ti ulo ni Siba a putot ni Bikri, ket impurwakda daytoy kenni Joab. Kalpasanna, pinuyotanna ti trumpeta ket pinanawan dagiti tattao ni Joab ti siudad, nagawid ti tunggal maysa iti pagtaenganna. Ket nagsubli ni Joab idiay Jerusalem iti ayan ti ari.
23 Now Joab was in command of the entire army of Israel; and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was in command of the Cherethites and in command of the Pelethites;
Ita, ni Joab ti nangidadaulo kadagiti amin nga armada ti Israel, ken ni Benaias a putot ni Jehoyada ti nangidaulo kadagiti Cheretites ken kadagiti Peletites.
24 and Adoniram was in command of the forced labor; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder;
Ni Adoram ti nangidaulo kadagiti tattao nga agtrabaho nga ingkapilitan, ket ni Jehosafat a putot ni Ahilut ti tagailista.
25 and Shisha was scribe; and Zadok and Abiathar were priests;
Ni Siva ti sekretario ken da Zadok ken Abiatar dagiti papadi.
26 and also Ira the Jairite was David's priest.
Ni Ira a Jairita ti panguloen a ministro ni David.
