< 2 Chronicles 6 >

1 Then Solomon said, "Jehovah has said that he would dwell in the thick cloud.
Afei, Salomo bɔɔ mpaeɛ sɛ, “Ao Awurade, woaka sɛ, wobɛtena omununkum kusuu mu.
2 But I have built you a house of habitation, and a place for you to dwell in forever."
Afei, masi Asɔredan a ɛho wɔ nyam ama wo, baabi a wobɛtumi atena afebɔɔ.”
3 The king turned his face, and blessed all the assembly of Israel: and all the assembly of Israel stood.
Na ɔhene no danee ne ho kyerɛɛ ɔmanfoɔ a wɔgyina nʼanim no nyinaa, hyiraa wɔn sɛ,
4 He said, "Blessed be Jehovah, the God of Israel, who spoke with his mouth to David my father, and has with his hands fulfilled it, saying,
“Nhyira nka Awurade, Israel Onyankopɔn, a wadi ɛbɔ a ɔhyɛɛ mʼagya Dawid no so, ɛfiri sɛ, ɔka kyerɛɛ mʼagya sɛ,
5 'Since the day that I brought forth my people out of the land of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes of Israel to build a house in, that my name might be there; nor did I choose any man to be a leader over my people Israel:
‘Ɛfiri da a meyii me nkurɔfoɔ firii Misraim no, menyii kuropɔn biara mfirii Israel mmusuakuo no mu sɛ baabi a ɛsɛ sɛ wɔsi Asɔredan, de hyɛ me din animuonyam. Ɛnna nso, menyii ɔhene biara sɛ ɔnni me nkurɔfoɔ Israelfoɔ anim.
6 but I chose Jerusalem, that my name may be there; and I chose David to be over my people Israel.'
Nanso, afei, mayi Yerusalem sɛ kuropɔn, ne Dawid sɛ ɔhene.’”
7 Now it was in the heart of David my father to build a house for the name of Jehovah, the God of Israel.
Afei, Salomo kaa sɛ, “Mʼagya Dawid pɛɛ sɛ ɔsi saa Asɔredan yi de hyɛ Awurade, Israel Onyankopɔn din animuonyam.
8 But Jehovah said to David my father, 'Whereas it was in your heart to build a house for my name, you did well that it was in your heart:
Nanso, Awurade ka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, ‘Ɛyɛ sɛ wopɛ sɛ wosi asɔredan de hyɛ me din animuonyam
9 nevertheless you shall not build the house; but your son who shall come forth out of your body, he shall build the house for my name.'
nanso, ɛnyɛ wo na wobɛyɛ. Mmom, wo mmammarima no mu baako na ɔbɛsi.’
10 "Jehovah has performed his word that he spoke; for I have risen up in the place of David my father, and sit on the throne of Israel, as Jehovah promised, and have built the house for the name of Jehovah, the God of Israel.
“Na afei, Awurade ayɛ deɛ ɔhyɛɛ ho bɔ no, ɛfiri sɛ, masi mʼagya anan mu sɛ ɔhene. Masi saa Asɔredan yi de ahyɛ Awurade, Israel Onyankopɔn din animuonyam.
11 There I have set the ark, in which is the covenant of Jehovah, which he made with the children of Israel."
Ɛhɔ na mede Adaka no asi, na Adaka no mu nso na apam a Awurade ne Israelfoɔ yɛeɛ no hyɛ.”
12 He stood before the altar of Jehovah in the presence of all the assembly of Israel, and spread forth his hands
Na Salomo pagyaa ne nsa kyerɛɛ soro wɔ Awurade afɔrebukyia ne Israel manfoɔ no nyinaa anim.
13 (for Solomon had made a bronze scaffold, eight feet and seven inches long, and eight feet and seven inches broad, and five feet and two inches high, and had set it in the midst of the court; and on it he stood, and kneeled down on his knees before all the assembly of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven; )
Na wabɔ kɔbere mfrafraeɛ apa a nʼatweeɛmu yɛ anammɔn nson ne fa, ne tɛtrɛtɛ yɛ anammɔn nson ne fa, na ne ɔsorokɔ yɛ anammɔn ɛnan ne fa, de asi asɔredan no adihɔ mfimfini. Ɔgyinaa apa no so wɔ nnipa no nyinaa anim. Ɔbuu nkotodwe, maa ne nsa so kyerɛɛ soro.
14 and he said, "Jehovah, God of Israel, there is no God like you, in heaven, or on earth; you who keep covenant and loving kindness with your servants, who walk before you with all their heart;
Ɔbɔɔ mpaeɛ sɛ, “Ao Awurade, Israel Onyankopɔn, Onyankopɔn biara nni hɔ sɛ wo wɔ ɔsoro ne asase so nyinaa. Wodi wo bɔhyɛ so, na woda wo dɔ a ɛwɔ hɔ daa no adi kyerɛ wɔn a wɔtie wo na wɔn ani gye sɛ wɔbɛyɛ wʼapɛdeɛ nyinaa.

Wo bɔ a wohyɛɛ wo ɔsomfoɔ Dawid a ɔyɛ mʼagya no, woadi so. Wʼankasa wʼano na wode hyɛɛ bɔ no, na ɛnnɛ, wonam wʼankasa wo nsa so ama aba mu.
16 "Now therefore, Jehovah, the God of Israel, keep with your servant David my father that which you have promised him, saying, 'There shall not fail you a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel, if only your children take heed to their way, to walk in my law as you have walked before me.'
“Afei, Ao Awurade, Israel Onyankopɔn, ma ɛbɔ a wokɔɔ so hyɛɛ wo ɔsomfoɔ Dawid a ɔyɛ mʼagya no mmra mu. Woka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, ‘Sɛ wʼasefoɔ bɔ wɔn bra yie, na wɔdi me mmara so sɛdeɛ woayɛ no a, wɔbɛdi Israel so ɔhene daa daa.’
17 Now therefore, Jehovah, the God of Israel, let your word be verified, which you spoke to your servant David.
Afei, Ao Awurade, Israel Onyankopɔn, di saa bɔ a woahyɛ wo ɔsomfoɔ Dawid no so.
18 "But will God indeed dwell with humankind on the earth? Look, heaven and the highest heaven can't contain you; how much less this house which I have built.

19 Yet have respect for the prayer of your servant, and to his petition, Jehovah my God, to listen to the cry and to the prayer which your servant prays before you;
Tie me mpaeɛbɔ ne mʼadesrɛdeɛ, Ao Awurade, me Onyankopɔn. Tie osufrɛ ne mpaeɛ a wo ɔsomfoɔ rebɔ no.

Na saa ahɔhosase no so, wɔde ahonu sane ba wo nkyɛn, bɔ mpaeɛ sɛ, ‘Yɛayɛ bɔne; yɛayɛ amumuyɛsɛm ne atirimuɔdensɛm,’
