< 2 Chronicles 36 >
1 Then the people of the land took Jehoahaz the son of Josiah, and they anointed him and made him king in his father's place in Jerusalem.
Afei, nnipa a wɔwɔ asase no so no sii Yosia babarima Yehoahas ɔhene wɔ Yerusalem.
2 Joahaz was twenty-three years old when he began to reign; and he reigned three months in Jerusalem.
Ɛberɛ a Yehoahas dii adeɛ no, na wadi mfirinhyia aduonu mmiɛnsa nanso, ɔdii adeɛ abosome mmiɛnsa pɛ.
3 The king of Egypt deposed him at Jerusalem, and fined the land one hundred talents of silver and a talent of gold.

4 The king of Egypt made Eliakim his brother king over Judah and Jerusalem, and changed his name to Jehoiakim. Neco took Joahaz his brother, and carried him to Egypt.

5 Jehoiakim was twenty-five years old when he began to reign; and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem: and he did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah his God.
Yehoiakim dii adeɛ no, na wadi mfirinhyia aduonu enum, na ɔdii ɔhene Yerusalem mfirinhyia dubaako. Nanso, ɔyɛɛ bɔne wɔ Awurade ne Onyankopɔn ani so.
6 Against him came up Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and bound him in fetters, to carry him to Babylon.
Afei, Babiloniahene Nebukadnessar kɔɔ Yerusalem, kɔko faeɛ. Ɔde nkɔnsɔnkɔnsɔn guu Yehoiakim de no kɔɔ Babilonia.
7 Nebuchadnezzar also carried of the vessels of the house of Jehovah to Babylon, and put them in his temple at Babylon.

8 Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and his abominations which he did, and that which was found in him, look, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah: and Jehoiachin his son reigned in his place.
9 Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he began to reign; and he reigned three months and ten days in Jerusalem: and he did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah.

10 At the return of the year king Nebuchadnezzar sent, and brought him to Babylon, with the goodly vessels of the house of Jehovah, and made Zedekiah his relative king over Judah and Jerusalem.
Afe a ɛdi ɛkan wɔ bosome a ɛdi ɛkan mu no, ɔhene Nebukadnessar frɛɛ Yehoiakyin sɛ ɔmmra Babilonia. Wɔfaa ademudeɛ bebree firii Awurade Asɔredan no mu de kɔɔ Babilonia saa ɛberɛ no. Na Nebukadnessar yii Yehoiakyin wɔfa Sedekia, sɛ ɔnni ɔhene wɔ Yuda ne Yerusalem.
11 Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he began to reign; and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem:
Ɛberɛ a Sedekia bɛdii adeɛ no, na wadi mfirinhyia aduonu baako, na ɔdii adeɛ wɔ Yerusalem mfirinhyia dubaako.
12 and he did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah his God; he did not humble himself before Jeremiah the prophet speaking from the mouth of Jehovah.
Ɔyɛɛ bɔne wɔ Awurade, ne Onyankopɔn ani so, na wammrɛ ne ho ase wɔ odiyifoɔ Yeremia a na ɔkasa ma Awurade no anim.
13 He also rebelled against king Nebuchadnezzar, who had made him swear by God: but he stiffened his neck, and hardened his heart against turning to Jehovah, the God of Israel.
Afei, ɔsɔre tiaa ɔhene Nebukadnessar wɔ ɛberɛ a na waka ntam adi nse wɔ Onyankopɔn din mu sɛ, ɔbɛdi no nokorɛ. Na Sedekia yɛ kyenkyenee ne asoɔden, na wampɛ sɛ ɔde ne ho bɛbata Awurade, Israel Onyankopɔn ho.
14 Moreover all the chiefs of the priests, and the people, trespassed very greatly after all the abominations of the nations; and they polluted the house of Jehovah which he had made holy in Jerusalem.
Asɔfoɔ no ntuanofoɔ nyinaa ne ɔmanfoɔ no kɔɔ so yɛɛ mmaratofoɔ. Wɔyɛɛ abosonsomfoɔ a wɔwɔ aman a atwa ahyia hɔ no nneyɛeɛ no bi, na wɔguu Awurade Asɔredan a ɛwɔ Yerusalem no ho fi.
15 Jehovah, the God of their fathers, sent to them by his messengers, rising up early and sending, because he had compassion on his people, and on his dwelling place:
Awurade, wɔn agyanom Onyankopɔn, somaa nʼadiyifoɔ sɛ wɔnkɔbɔ wɔn kɔkɔ mpɛn bebree, ɛfiri sɛ, na ɔwɔ ahummɔborɔ ma ne nkurɔfoɔ ne nʼAsɔredan no.
16 but they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and scoffed at his prophets, until the wrath of Jehovah arose against his people, until there was no remedy.
Nanso, nnipa no dii saa Onyankopɔn abɔfoɔ no ho fɛ, amfa wɔn nsɛm no anyɛ hwee. Wɔdii adiyifoɔ no ho fɛ ara kɔsii sɛ Awurade abufuhyeɛ turiiɛ a biribiara antumi annwodwo ano.
17 Therefore he brought on them the king of the Chaldeans, who killed their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and had no compassion on young man or virgin, old man or gray-headed: he gave them all into his hand.
Enti, Awurade de Babiloniahene ba bɛko tiaa wɔn. Babiloniafoɔ no kunkumm Yuda mmabunu maa mpo, wɔtaa wɔn kɔɔ Asɔredan no mu. Na wɔannya ahummɔborɔ amma nnipa no. Wɔkunkumm mmɔfra ne mpanin, mmarima ne mmaa, ahoɔdenfoɔ ne ayarefoɔ. Onyankopɔn de wɔn nyinaa maa Nebukadnessar.
18 All the vessels of God's house, great and small, and the treasures of the house of Jehovah, and the treasures of the king, and of his officials, all these he brought to Babylon.

19 They burnt God's house, and broke down the wall of Jerusalem, and burnt all its palaces with fire, and destroyed all the goodly vessels of it.

20 He carried those who had escaped from the sword away to Babylon; and they were servants to him and his sons until the reign of the kingdom of Persia:
Nnipa kakra a wɔkaeɛ no, wɔsoaa wɔn kɔɔ Babilonia, maa wɔkɔyɛɛ ɔhene no ne ne mmammarima asomfoɔ kɔsii sɛ Persia ahennie bɛdii tumi.

22 Now in the first year of Koresh king of Persia, that the word of Jehovah by the mouth of Jeremiah might be accomplished, Jehovah stirred up the spirit of Koresh king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying,
Persiahene Kores adedie afe a ɛdi ɛkan mu no, Awurade maa odiyifoɔ Yeremia nkɔmhyɛ baa mu. Ɔkaa Kores akoma ma ɔtwerɛ bɔɔ no dawuro wɔ nʼahennie nyinaa mu sɛ,

“Sɛdeɛ Persiahene Kores ka nie: “‘Awurade, ɔsorosoro Onyankopɔn de ahennie a ɛwɔ asase so nyinaa ama me. Wayi me sɛ mensi asɔredan mma no wɔ Yerusalem wɔ Yuda asase so. Mo a moyɛ Awurade nkurɔfoɔ nyinaa, monsane nkɔ Israel nkɔdi saa dwuma yi. Awurade, mo Onyankopɔn nka mo ho.’”
