< 2 Chronicles 33 >

1 Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign; and he reigned fifty-five years in Jerusalem.
Manase yalya obwakabaka nga wa myaka kkumi n’ebiri, n’afugira emyaka amakumi ataano mu etaano mu Yerusaalemi.
2 He did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah, after the abominations of the nations whom Jehovah cast out before the children of Israel.
N’akola ebitaali bya butuukirivu mu maaso ga Mukama, ng’agoberera ebikolwa eby’ekivve eby’amawanga Mukama ge yagoba mu maaso g’Abayisirayiri.
3 For he built again the high places which Hezekiah his father had broken down; and he reared up altars for the Baals, and made Asheroth, and worshiped all the host of heaven, and served them.
N’addaabiriza ebifo ebigulumivu kitaawe Keezeekiya bye yali amenyeemenye, n’azimbira ne Baali ebyoto, n’akola ne Baasera, n’asinza era n’aweereza n’eggye lyonna ery’oku ggulu.
4 He built altars in the house of Jehovah, of which Jehovah said, "My name shall be in Jerusalem forever."
N’azimba ebyoto mu yeekaalu ya Mukama, Mukama gye yayogerako nti, “Mu Yerusaalemi erinnya lyange mwe linaabeeranga emirembe gyonna.”
5 He built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of Jehovah.
N’azimba ebyoto eby’okusinzizangako eggye lyonna ery’oku ggulu, mu mpya zombi eza yeekaalu ya Mukama.
6 He also made his children to pass through the fire in the Valley of Ben Hinnom; and he practiced sorcery, divination, and witchcraft, and consulted mediums, and spiritists: he worked much evil in the sight of Jehovah, to provoke him to anger.
N’awaayo abaana be ng’ekiweebwayo, n’abookera mu kiwonvu ekya mutabani wa Kinomu, n’akola eby’obufumu, n’alagulira mu bire, n’akola eby’obulogo, n’agendanga n’eri abaliko emizimu ne ddayimooni. N’akola ebitaali bya butuukirivu bingi mu maaso ga Mukama, n’asunguwaza nnyo Mukama.
7 He set the engraved image of the idol, which he had made, in God's house, of which God said to David and to Solomon his son, "In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, will I put my name forever:
N’addira ekifaananyi ekyole kye yakola, n’akiteeka mu yeekaalu ya Katonda, Katonda gye yayogerako eri Dawudi ne Sulemaani mutabani we nti, “Mu yeekaalu eno ne mu Yerusaalemi muno, bye nalonda mu bika byonna ebya Isirayiri, mwe munaabeeranga Erinnya lyange emirembe gyonna.
8 neither will I any more remove the foot of Israel from off the land which I have appointed for your fathers, if only they will observe to do all that I have commanded them, even all the law and the statutes and the ordinances given by Moses."
Sijjululenga nate kigere kya Isirayiri okuva mu nsi gye nawa bajjajjammwe, bwe baneekuumanga okukola bye mbalagidde, nga bagoberera amateeka gonna, n’ebiragiro, n’obulombolombo bye nnawa Musa.”
9 Manasseh seduced Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that they did more evil than the nations whom Jehovah destroyed before the children of Israel did.
Naye Manase n’asendasenda Yuda n’abantu b’e Yerusaalemi okukola ebitaali bya butuukirivu okusinga amawanga Mukama ge yazikiririza mu maaso g’Abayisirayiri.
10 Jehovah spoke to Manasseh, and to his people; but they gave no heed.
Mukama n’ayogera ne Manase n’abantu be, kyokka ne batassaayo mwoyo.
11 Therefore Jehovah brought on them the captains of the army of the king of Assyria, who took Manasseh in chains, and bound him with fetters, and carried him to Babylon.
Mukama kyeyava abasindikira abaduumizi b’eggye lya kabaka w’e Bwasuli, ne basiba Manase mu njegere ne mu masamba, ne bateeka eddobo mu nnyindo ye, ne bamutwala e Babulooni nga musibe.
12 When he was in distress, he begged Jehovah his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers.
Ng’ali eyo mu nnaku ye, ne yeegayirira Mukama Katonda we, ne yeetoowaza nnyo mu maaso ga Katonda wa bajjajjaabe.
13 He prayed to him; and he was entreated by him, and heard his petition, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that Jehovah was God.
N’amusaba, Mukama n’awulira okwegayirira kwe, n’amukomyawo e Yerusaalemi n’eri obwakabaka bwe. Awo Manase n’ategeera nga Mukama ye Katonda.
14 Now after this he built an outer wall to the City of David, on the west side of Gihon, in the valley, even to the entrance at the Fish Gate; and he encircled Ophel with it, and raised it up to a very great height: and he put valiant captains in all the fortified cities of Judah.
Oluvannyuma lw’ebyo n’addaabiriza bbugwe ow’ebweru ow’ekibuga kya Dawudi, ku luuyi olw’ebugwanjuba olwa Gikoni, mu kiwonvu, okutuuka awayingirirwa mu Mulyango ogw’Ebyennyanja, n’okwetooloola olusozi lwa Oferi, n’okumuzimba n’amuzimba ng’asingako bbugwe eyaliwo obuwanvu. N’ateeka n’abaduumizi b’eggye mu bibuga byonna ebiriko bbugwe mu Yuda.
15 He took away the foreign gods, and the idol out of the house of Jehovah, and all the altars that he had built in the mountain of the house of Jehovah, and in Jerusalem, and cast them out of the city.
N’aggyamu bakatonda abamawanga n’ekifaananyi ekyole mu yeekaalu ya Mukama, n’ebyoto byonna bye yazimba ku kasozi ka yeekaalu ne mu Yerusaalemi, n’abisuula ebweru w’ekibuga.
16 He built up the altar of Jehovah, and offered thereon sacrifices of peace offerings and of thanksgiving, and commanded Judah to serve Jehovah, the God of Israel.
N’addaabiriza ekyoto kya Mukama, n’aweerayo ssaddaaka ez’ebiweebwayo olw’emirembe n’ez’okwebaza, n’alagira Yuda okuweerezanga Mukama Katonda wa Isirayiri.
17 Nevertheless the people sacrificed still in the high places, but only to Jehovah their God.
Wabula abantu bo, ne beeyongera okuweerangayo ssaddaaka ku bifo ebigulumivu, nga baziwaayo eri Mukama Katonda waabwe.
18 Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh, and his prayer to his God, and the words of the seers who spoke to him in the name of Jehovah, the God of Israel, look, they are written among the acts of the kings of Israel.
Ebyafaayo ebirala ebyabaawo mu mirembe gya Manase, ng’omwo mwe muli okusaba kwe eri Mukama n’ebigambo abalabi bye baamutegeezanga mu linnya lya Mukama Katonda wa Isirayiri, byawandiikibwa mu bitabo eby’omu mirembe gya bassekabaka ba Isirayiri.
19 His prayer also, and how God was entreated of him, and all his sin and his trespass, and the places in which he built high places, and set up the Asherim and the engraved images, before he humbled himself, look, they are written in the Record of the Seers.
Okusaba kwe, n’okusaasira kwa Katonda gy’ali, n’ebibi bye, n’obutali bwesigwa bwe, n’ebifo ebigulumivu bye yazimba, ne Baasera, n’ebifaananyi ebyole bye yassaawo nga taneetoowaza, byonna byawandiikibwa mu bitabo eby’omu mirembe gy’abalabi.
20 So Manasseh slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the garden of his own house. And Amon his son reigned in his place.
Manase ne yeebakira wamu ne bajjajjaabe, n’aziikibwa mu lubiri lwe, Amoni mutabani we n’amusikira.
21 Amon was twenty-two years old when he began to reign; and he reigned two years in Jerusalem.
Amoni yali wa myaka amakumi abiri mu ebiri we yaliira obwakabaka.
22 He did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah, as did Manasseh his father; and Amon sacrificed to all the engraved images which Manasseh his father had made, and served them.
N’akola ebitaali bya butuukirivu mu maaso ga Mukama, nga Manase kitaawe bwe yakola.
23 He did not humble himself before Jehovah, as Manasseh his father had humbled himself; but this same Amon trespassed more and more.
Naye obutafaanana nga kitaawe Manase, Amoni n’ayongera ekibi ku kibi, n’ateetoowaza mu maaso ga Mukama.
24 His servants conspired against him, and put him to death in his own house.
Abakungu ba Amoni ne bamusalira olukwe ne bamuttira mu lubiri lwe.
25 But the people of the land killed all those who had conspired against king Amon; and the people of the land made Josiah his son king in his place.
Naye Abantu ab’omu nsi ne batta abo bonna abasala olukwe okutta kabaka Amoni; ne bafuula Yosiya mutabani we okuba kabaka mu kifo kye.
