2 Chronicles 13
1 In the eighteenth year of king Jeroboam began Abijah to reign over Judah.
൧യൊരോബെയാംരാജാവിന്റെ പതിനെട്ടാം ആണ്ടിൽ അബീയാവ് യെഹൂദയിൽ രാജാവായി.
2 He reigned three years in Jerusalem: and his mother's name was Maacah the daughter of Uriel of Gibeah. There was war between Abijah and Jeroboam.
൨അവൻ മൂന്നു സംവത്സരം യെരൂശലേമിൽ വാണു. അവന്റെ അമ്മക്ക് മീഖായാ എന്നു പേർ; അവൾ ഗിബെയക്കാരനായ ഊരീയേലിന്റെ മകൾ. അബീയാവിനും യൊരോബെയാമിനും തമ്മിൽ യുദ്ധം ഉണ്ടായി.
3 Abijah joined battle with an army of valiant men of war, even four hundred thousand chosen men: and Jeroboam set the battle in array against him with eight hundred thousand chosen men, who were mighty men of valor.
൩അബീയാവ് നാല് ലക്ഷം യുദ്ധവീരന്മാരുള്ളോരു സൈന്യത്തെ അണിനിരത്തി; യൊരോബെയാം അവന്റെനേരെ എട്ടുലക്ഷം യുദ്ധവീരന്മാരെ അണിനിരത്തി.
4 Abijah stood up on Mount Zemaraim, which is in the hill country of Ephraim, and said, "Hear me, Jeroboam and all Israel:
൪എന്നാൽ അബീയാവ് എഫ്രയീംമലനാട്ടിലെ സെമറയീം മലമുകളിൽ നിന്നുകൊണ്ട് പറഞ്ഞത്: “യൊരോബെയാമും എല്ലാ യിസ്രായേലും ആയുള്ളോരേ, എന്റെ വാക്കു കേൾക്കുവിൻ.
5 Ought you not to know that Jehovah, the God of Israel, gave the kingdom over Israel to David forever, even to him and to his descendants by a covenant of salt?
൫യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ യിസ്രായേലിലെ രാജത്വം ഒരു ലവണനിയമത്താൽ ദാവീദിനും, അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർക്കും, സദാകാലത്തേക്കു നല്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അറിയേണ്ടതല്ലയോ?
6 Yet Jeroboam the son of Nebat, the servant of Solomon the son of David, rose up, and rebelled against his lord.
൬എന്നാൽ ദാവീദിന്റെ മകനായ ശലോമോന്റെ ദാസനും നെബാത്തിന്റെ മകനുമായ യൊരോബെയാം എഴുന്നേറ്റ് തന്റെ യജമാനനോടു മത്സരിച്ചു.
7 There were gathered to him worthless men, base fellows, who strengthened themselves against Rehoboam the son of Solomon, when Rehoboam was young and tenderhearted, and could not withstand them.
൭നിസ്സാരന്മാരായ ചില നീചന്മാർ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നുകൂടി, ശലോമോന്റെ മകനായ രെഹബെയാമിനോടു ധാർഷ്ട്യം കാണിച്ചു; രെഹബെയാം യൗവനക്കാരനും പക്വതയില്ലാത്തവനും ആയിരുന്നതിനാൽ അവരോട് എതിർത്തുനില്ക്കുവാൻ അവന് കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല.
8 "Now you think to withstand the kingdom of Jehovah in the hand of the descendants of David; and you are a great multitude, and there are with you the golden calves which Jeroboam made you for gods.
൮നിങ്ങൾ ഇപ്പോൾ ദാവീദിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരുടെ കൈവശമുള്ള യഹോവയുടെ രാജത്വത്തോട് എതിർത്തുനില്ക്കുവാൻ വിചാരിക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങൾ വലിയോരു സമൂഹം തന്നേ; യൊരോബെയാം നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ദൈവമായി ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ പൊൻകാളക്കുട്ടികളും നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടല്ലോ.
9 Haven't you driven out the priests of Jehovah, the sons of Aaron, and the Levites, and made priests for yourselves after the ways of the peoples of other lands? so that whoever comes to consecrate himself with a young bull and seven rams, the same may be a priest of those who are no gods.
൯നിങ്ങൾ അഹരോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരായ യഹോവയുടെ പുരോഹിതന്മാരെയും ലേവ്യരെയും തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞ് അന്യദേശങ്ങളിലെ ജനതകളുടെ മര്യാദപ്രകാരം നിങ്ങൾക്ക് പുരോഹിതന്മാരെ നിയമിച്ചിട്ടില്ലയോ? ഒരു കാളക്കുട്ടിയോടും ഏഴു ആട്ടുകൊറ്റന്മാരോടും കൂടെ സ്വയം പ്രതിഷ്ഠിക്കാൻ വരുന്ന ഏവനും ദൈവമല്ലാത്തവയ്ക്ക് പുരോഹിതനായ്തീരുന്നു.
10 "But as for us, Jehovah is our God, and we have not forsaken him; and we have priests ministering to Jehovah, the descendants of Aaron, and the Levites in their work:
൧൦ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമോ യഹോവയാകുന്നു; അവനെ ഞങ്ങൾ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചിട്ടില്ല: യഹോവയ്ക്ക് ശുശ്രൂഷചെയ്യുന്ന പുരോഹിതന്മാരായ അഹരോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ ഞങ്ങൾക്കുണ്ട്; ലേവ്യരും തങ്ങളുടെ വേല ചെയ്തുവരുന്നു.
11 and they burn to Jehovah every morning and every evening burnt offerings and sweet incense. They also set the show bread in order on the pure table; and the lampstand of gold with its lamps, to burn every evening: for we keep the instruction of Jehovah our God; but you have forsaken him.
൧൧അവർ ദിനംപ്രതി രാവിലെയും വൈകുന്നേരവും യഹോവയ്ക്ക് ഹോമയാഗങ്ങളും പരിമളധൂപവും അർപ്പിക്കുന്നു; കാഴ്ചയപ്പം വിശുദ്ധമേശമേൽ അടുക്കുന്നു; പൊൻനിലവിളക്കും അതിന്റെ ദീപങ്ങളും വൈകുന്നേരംതോറും കത്തിക്കുന്നു; ഇങ്ങനെ ഞങ്ങൾ ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ ആജ്ഞ പ്രമാണിക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങളോ അവനെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
12 Look, God is with us at our head, and his priests with the trumpets of alarm to sound an alarm against you. Children of Israel, do not fight against Jehovah, the God of your fathers; for you shall not prosper."
൧൨ഇതാ, ഞങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഞങ്ങളുടെ തലവനായി ദൈവവും നിങ്ങളുടെനേരെ യുദ്ധകാഹളം മുഴക്കാൻ അവന്റെ പുരോഹിതന്മാരും ഉണ്ട്; യിസ്രായേല്യരേ, നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയോട് നിങ്ങൾ യുദ്ധം ചെയ്യരുത്; നിങ്ങൾ വിജയിക്കുകയില്ല”
13 But Jeroboam caused an ambush to come about behind them: so they were before Judah, and the ambush was behind them.
൧൩എന്നാൽ യൊരോബെയാം അവരുടെ പുറകിൽ വളഞ്ഞു ചെല്ലുവാൻ പതിയിരിപ്പുകാരെ അയച്ചു; അങ്ങനെ അവർ യെഹൂദ്യരുടെ മുമ്പിലും പതിയിരിപ്പുകാർ പുറകിലും ആയി.
14 When Judah looked back, look, the battle was before and behind them; and they cried to Jehovah, and the priests sounded with the trumpets.
൧൪യെഹൂദ്യർ തിരിഞ്ഞുനോക്കിയപ്പോൾ പട മുമ്പിലും പുറകിലും കണ്ടു, യഹോവയോട് നിലവിളിച്ചു പുരോഹിതന്മാർ കാഹളം ഊതി, യെഹൂദാപുരുഷന്മാർ ആർത്തുവിളിച്ചു.
15 Then the men of Judah gave a shout: and as the men of Judah shouted, it happened, that God struck Jeroboam and all Israel before Abijah and Judah.
൧൫യെഹൂദാപുരുഷന്മാർ ആർത്തുവിളിച്ചപ്പോൾ ദൈവം യൊരോബെയാമിനെയും എല്ലാ യിസ്രായേലിനെയും അബീയാവിനോടും യെഹൂദ്യരോടും തോല്ക്കുമാറാക്കി.
16 The children of Israel fled before Judah; and God delivered them into their hand.
൧൬യിസ്രായേല്യർ യെഹൂദ്യരുടെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു ഓടി, ദൈവം അവരെ അവരുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിച്ചു;
17 Abijah and his people killed them with a great slaughter: so there fell down slain of Israel five hundred thousand chosen men.
൧൭അബീയാവും അവന്റെ ജനവും അവരെ കഠിനമായി തോല്പിച്ചു; യിസ്രായേലിൽ അഞ്ചുലക്ഷം ശ്രേഷ്ഠയോദ്ധാക്കൾ മരിച്ചുവീണു.
18 Thus the children of Israel were brought under at that time, and the people of Judah prevailed, because they relied on Jehovah, the God of their fathers.
൧൮ഇങ്ങനെ യിസ്രായേല്യർക്ക് ആ കാലത്ത് കീഴടങ്ങേണ്ടിവന്നു; യെഹൂദ്യരോ തങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയിൽ ആശ്രയിച്ചതുകൊണ്ട് ജയം പ്രാപിച്ചു.
19 Abijah pursued after Jeroboam, and took cities from him, Bethel with its towns, and Jeshanah with its towns, and Ephron with its towns.
൧൯അബീയാവ് യൊരോബെയാമിനെ പിന്തുടർന്ന് അവന്റെ പട്ടണങ്ങളെ പിടിച്ചു; ബേഥേലും അതിനോട് ചേർന്ന ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും യെശാനയും അതിനോട് ചേർന്ന ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും എഫ്രോനും അതിനോട് ചേർന്ന ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും തന്നേ.
20 Jeroboam did not recover strength again in the days of Abijah. Jehovah struck him, and he died.
൨൦യൊരോബെയാം അബീയാവിന്റെ കാലത്ത് ബലം പ്രാപിച്ചില്ല; യഹോവ അവനെ ശിക്ഷിച്ചു.
21 But Abijah grew mighty, and took to himself fourteen wives, and became the father of twenty-two sons, and sixteen daughters.
൨൧അവൻ മരിച്ചുപോയി. എന്നാൽ അബീയാവ് ബലവാനായത്തീർന്നു; അവൻ പതിനാലു ഭാര്യമാരെ വിവാഹം കഴിച്ചു; ഇരുപത്തിരണ്ടു പുത്രന്മാരെയും പതിനാറു പുത്രിമാരെയും ജനിപ്പിച്ചു.
22 The rest of the acts of Abijah, and his ways, and his sayings, are written in the commentary of the prophet Iddo.
൨൨അബീയാവിന്റെ മറ്റുള്ള വൃത്താന്തങ്ങളും അവന്റെ നടപ്പും വാക്കുകളും ഇദ്ദോപ്രവാചകന്റെ ചരിത്രപുസ്തകത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
