< Romans 9 >
1 I tell the truth in Meshikha. I am not lying, my conscience testifying with me in the Rukha d'Qudsha,
Ine ndikunena zoona mwa Khristu. Sindikunama ndipo chikumbumtima changa kudzera mwa Mzimu Woyera chikundichitira umboni.
2 that I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart.
Ndili ndi chisoni chachikulu ndipo ndikumva kupwetekeka kosalekeza mu mtima mwanga.
3 For I could wish that I myself were accursed from Meshikha for my brothers' sake, my physical relatives according to the flesh,
Pakuti ndikanafuna ine mwini nditatembereredwa ndi kuchotsedwa mwa Khristu chifukwa cha abale anga, amene ndi a mtundu wanga,
4 who are Israyelites; whose is the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service, and the promises;
anthu Aisraeli. Iwo anasankhidwa kukhala ana. Mulungu anawapatsa ulemerero, anachita nawo mapangano, kuwapatsa Malamulo, Nyumba yopembedzeramo ndi malonjezano ake.
5 of whom are the patriarchs, and from whom is the Meshikha, as concerning the flesh, who is over all, God, blessed forever. Amen. (aiōn )
Awo ndi makolo athu. Kuchokera kwa iwo mʼthupi ndi kumene kunachokera makolo a Khristu Yesu amene ndi Mulungu wolamulira zinthu zonse, alemekezeke mpaka muyaya! Ameni. (aiōn )
6 But it is not as though the word of God has come to nothing. For they are not all Israyel, that are of Israyel.
Sikuti mawu a Mulungu analephera. Pakuti si onse obadwa mwa Israeli amene ndi Israeli.
7 Neither, because they are Avraham's descendants, are they all children. But, "In Iskhaq will your descendants be called."
Kapena kuti ana ake chifukwa anachokera mwa Abrahamu. Koma zidzukulu zako zidzachokera mwa Isake.
8 That is, it is not the children of the flesh who are children of God, but the children of the promise are counted as descendants.
Kutanthauza kuti, si ana obadwa mʼthupi amene ndi ana a Mulungu koma ndi ana a lonjezano amene amatengedwa kukhala zidzukulu za Abrahamu.
9 For this is what the promise said, "At the appointed time I will come, and Sera will have a son."
Pakuti Mulungu analonjeza ponena kuti, “Pa nthawi yake ngati yomwe ino chaka chamawa ndidzabweranso, ndipo Sara adzakhala ndi mwana wamwamuna.”
10 And not only that, but Raphqa also had conceived by one, our father Iskhaq.
Ndipo si pokhapo ayi. Ana awiri a Rebeka aja abambo awo anali mmodzi, kholo lathu Isake.
11 For being not yet born, neither having done anything good or bad, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him who calls,
Komabe, ana amapasawa asanabadwe kapena asanachite chilichonse chabwino kapena choyipa, nʼcholinga choti chifuniro cha Mulungu chosankhiratu munthu aliyense chipitirire,
12 it was said to her, "The elder will serve the younger."
osati chifukwa cha ntchito za munthu koma chifuniro cha Iye mwini, anawuza Rebeka kuti, “Wamkulu adzatumikira wamʼngʼono.”
13 Even as it is written, "Yaquv I loved, but Isuw I hated."
Monga momwe kwalembedwa kuti, “Ine ndinakonda Yakobo, koma ndinamuda Esau.”
14 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? Absolutely not.
Nanga tsono tidzanena chiyani? Kodi Mulungu ndi osalungama? Ayi, ndi pangʼono pomwe!
15 For he said to Mushe, "I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion."
Pakuti Mulungu anawuza Mose kuti, “Ine ndidzachitira chifundo amene ndikufuna kumuchitira chifundo, ndipo ndidzakomera mtima amene ndikufuna kumukomera mtima.”
16 So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who has mercy.
Nʼchifukwa chake, izi sizitengera zokhumba za munthu kapena kuyesetsa koma chifundo cha Mulungu.
17 For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, "For this very purpose I caused you to be raised up, that I might show in you my power, and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth."
Malemba akuti Mulungu anamuwuza Farao kuti, “Ine ndakuyika kukhala mfumu ndi cholinga choti ndionetse mphamvu zanga, kuti mwa iwe dzina langa litchuke pa dziko lonse lapansi.”
18 So then, he has mercy on whom he desires, and he hardens whom he desires.
Choncho Mulungu amachitira chifundo munthu amene akufuna kumuchitira chifundo ndipo amawumitsa mtima munthu amene Iye akufuna kumuwumitsa mtima.
19 You will say then to me, "Why does he still find fault? For who withstands his will?"
Tsono mmodzi wa inu nʼkundifunsa kuti, “Nanga nʼchifukwa chiyani Mulungu amatipeza olakwa? Nanga ndani amene amakana chifuniro chake?”
20 But who indeed are you, a human being, to reply against God? Will the thing formed ask him who formed it, "Why did you make me like this?"
Koma ndiwe yani, munthu wamba, woti nʼkutsutsana ndi Mulungu? “Kodi chimene chinawumbidwa nʼkufunsa amene anachiwumba kuti, ‘Kodi unandiwumbiranji motere?’”
21 Or hasn't the potter a right over the clay, from the same lump to make one part a vessel for honor, and another for dishonor?
Kodi wowumba alibe ufulu wowumba kuchokera ku dothi lomwelo mbiya yamtengowapatali ndi ina yamtengo wotsika?
22 What if God, willing to show his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much patience vessels of wrath made for destruction,
Koma Mulungu, anafuna kuonetsa mkwiyo wake ndi kuti mphamvu yake idziwike. Iye anapirira modekha mtima kwambiri zochita za anthu omwe anawakwiyirawo amene anayeneradi chiwonongeko.
23 and that he might make known the riches of his glory on vessels of mercy, which he prepared beforehand for glory,
Iye anachita izi kufuna kuonetsa kulemera kwa ulemerero wake ndi kuti udziwike kwa amene analandira chifundo chake. Iye anawakonzeratu kuti alandire ulemerero wake
24 us, whom he also called, not from the Jews only, but also from the non-Jews?
ngakhale ifenso amene anatiyitana osati kuchokera kwa Ayuda okha komanso kwa a mitundu ina.
25 As he says also in Hushay, "I will call them which were not my people 'my people,' and her who was not loved, 'loved.'"
Monga momwe Mulungu akunenera mʼbuku la Hoseya kuti, “Amene sanali anthu anga ndidzawatcha ‘anthu anga;’ ndipo Ine ndidzatcha ‘wokondedwa wanga’ amene sali wokondedwa wanga,”
26 "It will be that in the place where it was said to them, 'You are not my people,' There they will be called 'children of the living God.'"
ndipo, “Pamalo omwewo pamene ananena kuti, ‘Sindinu anthu anga,’ pomweponso adzawatchula kuti, ‘Ana a Mulungu wamoyo.’”
27 Eshaya cries out concerning Israyel, "Though the number of the people of Israyel are as the sand of the sea, the remnant will be kept safe.
Yesaya anafuwula za Aisraeli kuti, “Ngakhale chiwerengero cha Aisraeli chingakhale ngati mchenga wa ku nyanja, otsala okha ndiye adzapulumuke.
28 For he will fulfill the word and decisively in righteousness; because the Lord will carry out the word decisively in the midst of the earth."
Pakuti Ambuye adzagamula milandu ya anthu pa dziko lapansi mofulumira ndi kumaliziratu.”
29 As Eshaya has said before, "Unless the Lord of hosts had left us a few survivors, we would have become like Sedum, and would have been made like Amura."
Monga momwe Yesaya ananena malo ena kuti, “Ngati Yehova Wamphamvuzonse akanapanda kutisiyira zidzukulu, ife tikanawonongeka ngati anthu a ku Sodomu, tikanakhala ngati anthu a ku Gomora.”
30 What shall we say then? That the non-Jews, who did not follow after righteousness, attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith;
Kodi nanga tidzati chiyani? Tidzati a mitundu ina amene sanafune chilungamo analandira chilungamo chachikhulupiriro
31 but Israyel, following after a law of righteousness, did not arrive at that law.

32 Why? Because they did not seek it by faith, but as it were by works. They stumbled over the stumbling stone;
Chifukwa chiyani? Chifukwa iwo sanachifune ndi chikhulupiriro koma ngati mwa ntchito. Iwo anapunthwa pa “Mwala wopunthwitsa.”
33 even as it is written, "Look, I am laying in Tsehyun a stumbling stone and a rock to trip over; and the one who believes in him will not be put to shame."
Monga momwe kwalembedwa kuti, “Taonani, Ine ndikuyika mwala mu Ziyoni wopunthwitsa anthu, thanthwe limene limagwetsa anthu. Koma amene akhulupirira Iye sadzachititsidwa manyazi.”
