< Romans 15 >
1 Now we who are strong ought to bear the weaknesses of the weak, and not to please ourselves.
We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.
2 Let each one of us please his neighbor for that which is good, to be building him up.
Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.
3 For even Meshikha did not please himself. But, as it is written, "The insults of those who insult you fell on me."
For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached you fell on me.
4 For whatever things were written before were written for our instruction, that through patience and through encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.
For whatsoever things were written in old times were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
5 Now the God of patience and of encouragement grant you to be of the same mind one with another according to Meshikha Yeshua,
Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:
6 that with one accord you may with one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Yeshua Meshikha.
That all of you may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
7 Therefore accept one another, even as Meshikha also accepted you, to the glory of God.
Wherefore receive all of you one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.
8 Now I say that Meshikha has been made a servant of the circumcision for the truth of God, that he might confirm the promises given to the fathers,
Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:
9 and that the non-Jews might glorify God for his mercy. As it is written, "therefore I will give praise to you among the non-Jews, and sing to your name."
And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to you among the Gentiles, and sing unto your name.
10 Again he says, "Rejoice, you nations, with his people."
And again he says, Rejoice, all of you Gentiles, with his people.
11 Again, "Praise the Lord, all you nations. Let all the peoples praise him."
And again, Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles; and extol him, all you people.
12 Again, Eshaya says, "There will be the root of Ishai, he who arises to rule over the peoples; in him will the nations hope."
And again, Isaiah says, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust.
13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, in the power of the Rukha d'Qudsha.
Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that all of you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit. (pneuma)
14 I myself am also persuaded about you, my brothers, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish others.
And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that all of you also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.
15 But I write the more boldly to you in part, as reminding you, because of the grace that was given to me by God,
Nevertheless, brethren, I have written the more boldly unto you in some sort, as putting you in mind, because of the grace that is given to me of God,
16 that I should be a servant of Meshikha Yeshua to the non-Jews, serving as a priest the Good News of God, that the offering up of the non-Jews might be made acceptable, sanctified by the Rukha d'Qudsha.
That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Spirit. (pneuma)
17 I have therefore my boasting in Meshikha Yeshua in things pertaining to God.
I have therefore whereof I may glory through Jesus Christ in those things which pertain to God.
18 For I will not dare to speak of any things except those which Meshikha worked through me, for the obedience of the non-Jews, by word and deed,
For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ has not wrought by me, to make the Gentiles obedient, by word (logos) and deed,
19 in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of the Rukha of God; so that from Urishlim, and around as far as to Illyricum, I have fully preached the Good News of Meshikha.
Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit (pneuma) of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.
20 And in this way I desire to preach the Good News where Meshikha was not known, that I might not build on another's foundation.
Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man's foundation:
21 But, as it is written, "Those who were not told about him, they will see, and those who have not heard, they will understand."
But as it is written, To whom he was not spoken of, they shall see: and they that have not heard shall understand.
22 Therefore also I was hindered these many times from coming to you,
For which cause also I have been much hindered from coming to you.
23 but now, no longer having any place in these regions, and having these many years a longing to come to you,
But now having no more place in these parts, and having a great desire these many years to come unto you;
24 whenever I journey to Spain I will come to you. For I hope to see you on my journey, and to be helped on my way there by you, if first I may enjoy your company for a while.
Whenever I take my journey into Spain, I will come to you: for I trust to see you in my journey, and to be brought on my way in that direction by you, if first I be somewhat filled with your company.
25 But now, I say, I am going to Urishlim, serving the saints.
But now I go unto Jerusalem to minister unto the saints.
26 For it has been the good pleasure of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor among the saints who are at Urishlim.
For it has pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem.
27 Yes, it has been their good pleasure, and they are their debtors. For if the non-Jewish people have been made partakers of their spiritual things, they owe it to them also to serve them in fleshly things.
It has pleased them verily; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister unto them in carnal things.
28 When therefore I have accomplished this, and have sealed to them this fruit, I will go on by way of you to Spain.
When therefore I have performed this, and have sealed to them this fruit, I will come by you into Spain.
29 I know that, when I come to you, I will come in the fullness of the blessing of Meshikha.
And I am sure that, when I come unto you, I shall come in the fullness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ.
30 Now I appeal to you, brothers, by our Lord Yeshua Meshikha, and by the love of the Rukha, that you strive together with me in your prayers to God for me,
Now I plead to you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ's sake, and for the love (agape) of the Spirit, (pneuma) that all of you strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;
31 that I may be delivered from those who are disobedient in Yehuda, and that my service which I have for Urishlim may be acceptable to the saints;
That I may be delivered from them that do not believe in Judaea; and that my service which I have for Jerusalem may be accepted of the saints;
32 that I may come to you in joy through the will of God, and together with you, find rest.
That I may come unto you with joy by the will of God, and may with you be refreshed.
33 Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.
Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.
