Psalms 74
1 [A contemplation by Asaph.] God, why have you rejected us forever? Why does your anger smolder against the sheep of your pasture?
੧ਆਸਾਫ਼ ਦਾ ਮਸ਼ਕੀਲ। ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਤੂੰ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਕਿਉਂ ਤਿਆਗ ਦਿੱਤਾ? ਤੇਰੀ ਜੂਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਦਾ ਧੂੰਆਂ ਕਿਉਂ ਉੱਠਦਾ ਹੈ?
2 Remember your congregation, which you purchased of old, which you have redeemed to be the tribe of your inheritance; Mount Zion, in which you have lived.
੨ਆਪਣੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਮੁੱਢ ਤੋਂ ਮੁੱਲ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਗੋਤ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਛੁਡਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰ, ਨਾਲੇ ਇਸ ਸੀਯੋਨ ਪਰਬਤ ਨੂੰ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਤੂੰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
3 Lift up your feet to the perpetual ruins, all the evil that the enemy has done in the sanctuary.
੩ਸਦਾ ਦੇ ਉਜੜੇ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਕਦਮ ਉਠਾ, ਅਰਥਾਤ ਉਸ ਸਾਰੀ ਖਰਾਬੀ ਵੱਲ ਵੀ, ਜਿਹੜੀ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਥਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੈਰੀ ਨੇ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।
4 Your adversaries have roared in the midst of your assembly. They have set up their standards as signs.
੪ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੱਜਦੇ ਰਹੇ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਝੰਡੇ ਖੜੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ।
5 They behaved like men wielding axes, cutting through a thicket of trees.
੫ਓਹ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਦਿੱਸਦੇ ਪਏ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਦਰੱਖਤਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਕੁਹਾੜੇ ਚਲਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ!
6 Now they break all its carved work down with hatchet and hammers.
੬ਹੁਣ ਉਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਉੱਕਰੀਆਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਵਸਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਹਾੜੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਹਥੌੜਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਭੰਨ ਸੁੱਟਦੇ ਹਨ!
7 They have burned your sanctuary to the ground. They have profaned the dwelling place of your Name.
੭ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗ ਲਾਈ ਹੈ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਡੇਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਭੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਢਾਹ ਕੇ ਭਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
8 They said in their heart, "We will crush them completely." They have burned up all the places in the land where God was worshiped.
੮ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਖਿਆ ਹੈ, ਆਓ, ਅਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਦਬਾ ਦੇਈਏ! ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਭਾ ਘਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫੂਕ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ ਹੈ।
9 We see no miraculous signs. There is no longer any prophet, neither is there among us anyone who knows how long.
੯ਅਸੀਂ ਹੁਣ ਕੋਈ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੇਖਦੇ, ਹੁਣ ਕੋਈ ਨਬੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਿਹਾ, ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਰਹੇਗਾ।
10 How long, God, shall the enemy mock? Shall the enemy blaspheme your name forever?
੧੦ਕਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ, ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਨਿੰਦਿਆ ਕਰੇਗਾ? ਭਲਾ, ਵੈਰੀ ਸਦਾ ਤੱਕ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਉੱਤੇ ਕੁਫ਼ਰ ਬਕੇਗਾ?
11 Why do you draw back your hand, even your right hand? Take it out of your pocket and consume them.
੧੧ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੱਥ, ਆਪਣਾ ਸੱਜਾ ਹੱਥ ਕਿਉਂ ਰੋਕ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈਂ? ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਬਗਲ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੱਢ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਅੰਤ ਕਰ!
12 Yet God is my King from long ago, working salvation in the midst of the earth.
੧੨ਪਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਚੀਨ ਕਾਲ ਤੋਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਛੁਟਕਾਰੇ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ।
13 You divided the sea by your strength. You broke the heads of the sea monsters in the waters.
੧੩ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਨਾਲ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਪਾੜਿਆ ਹੈ, ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਲ ਜੰਤੂਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਤੂੰ ਭੰਨ ਸੁੱਟੇ।
14 You broke the heads of Leviathan in pieces. You gave him as food to people and desert creatures.
੧੪ਤੂੰ ਵੱਡੇ ਸੱਪਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਿਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੇਹ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ, ਤੂੰ ਉਹ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੁਆਇਆ।
15 You opened up spring and stream. You dried up mighty rivers.
੧੫ਤੂੰ ਸੋਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਨਦੀ ਖੋਲ੍ਹੀ, ਤੂੰ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਮਾਸੀ ਦਰਿਆਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਕਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
16 The day is yours, the night is also yours. You have prepared the light and the sun.
੧੬ਦਿਨ ਤੇਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਤ ਵੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਹੈ, ਤੂੰ ਉਜਾਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਸੂਰਜ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਇਮ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ।
17 You have set all the boundaries of the earth. You have made summer and winter.
੧੭ਤੂੰ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਹੱਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਠਹਿਰਾਇਆ ਹੈ, ਗਰਮੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਆਲ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
18 Remember this, that the enemy has mocked you, LORD. Foolish people have blasphemed your name.
੧੮ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੂੰ ਇਹ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਰੱਖ ਕਿ ਵੈਰੀ ਨੇ ਨਿੰਦਿਆ ਕੀਤੀ, ਅਤੇ ਮੂਰਖ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਉੱਤੇ ਕੁਫ਼ਰ ਬਕਿਆ ਹੈ!
19 Do not deliver the soul of your dove to wild beasts. Do not forget the life of your poor forever.
੧੯ਆਪਣੀ ਘੁੱਗੀ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਚੌਪਾਏ ਦੇ ਵੱਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਕਰ, ਆਪਣੇ ਮਸਕੀਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਤੱਕ ਨਾ ਵਿਸਾਰ!
20 Honor your covenant, for haunts of violence fill the dark places of the earth.
੨੦ਆਪਣੇ ਨੇਮ ਵੱਲ ਧਿਆਨ ਰੱਖ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਅਨ੍ਹੇਰੇ ਥਾਂ ਅਨ੍ਹੇਰ ਦਿਆਂ ਨਿਵਾਸਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੇ ਪਏ ਹਨ!
21 Do not let the oppressed return ashamed. Let the poor and needy praise your name.
੨੧ਸਤਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਜਿਆਵਾਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਮੁੜਨਾ ਨਾ ਪਵੇ, ਮਸਕੀਨ ਅਤੇ ਕੰਗਾਲ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤ ਕਰਨ।
22 Arise, God. Plead your own cause. Remember how the foolish man mocks you all day.
੨੨ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਉੱਠ, ਆਪਣਾ ਮੁਕੱਦਮਾ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਲੜ, ਚੇਤੇ ਰੱਖ ਕਿ ਮੂਰਖ ਸਾਰਾ ਦਿਨ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਨਿੰਦਿਆ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ!
23 Do not forget the voice of your adversaries. The tumult of those who rise up against you ascends continually.
੨੩ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਰੋਧੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਵਿਸਾਰ, ਤੇਰੇ ਮੁਖਾਲਿਫ਼ਾਂ ਦਾ ਰੌਲ਼ਾ ਨਿੱਤ ਉੱਠਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
