< Psalms 64 >
1 [For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David.] Hear my voice, God, in my complaint. Preserve my life from fear of the enemy.
Ya Mukulu wa Bayimbi. Zabbuli ya Dawudi. Ayi Katonda, owulire eddoboozi lyange, ery’okwemulugunya kwange; okuume obulamu bwange eri okutiisibwatiisibwa omulabe.
2 Hide me from the conspiracy of the wicked, from the noisy crowd of the ones doing evil;
Onkweke mpone enkwe z’abakola ebibi, onzigye mu kibinja ky’aboonoonyi, abaleekaana
3 who sharpen their tongue like a sword, and aim their arrows, deadly words,
abawagala ennimi zaabwe ng’ebitala, ne balasa ebigambo byabwe ng’obusaale obutta.
4 to shoot innocent men from ambushes. They shoot at him suddenly and fearlessly.
Beekweka ne bateega oyo atalina musango bamulase; amangwago ne bamulasa nga tebatya.
5 They encourage themselves in evil plans. They talk about laying snares secretly. They say, "Who will see them?"
Bawagiragana mu kigendererwa kyabwe ekibi ne bateesa okutega emitego mu kyama; ne boogera nti, “Ani asobola okutulaba?”
6 They plot injustice; they hide a well-conceived plan. Surely man's mind and heart are cunning.
Beekobaana okukola ebitali bya bwenkanya, ne boogera nti, “Tukoze enteekateeka empitirivu.” Ddala ddala ebirowoozo by’omuntu n’omutima gwe byekusifu.
7 But God will shoot at them. They will be suddenly struck down with an arrow.
Naye Katonda alibalasa n’obusaale bwe; alibafumita, mangwago ne bagwa ku ttaka.
8 Their own tongues shall ruin them. All who see them will shake their heads.
Ebyo bye boogera biribaddira, ne bibazikiriza, ababalaba ne babanyeenyeza emitwe.
9 All humankind shall be afraid. They shall declare the work of God, and shall wisely ponder what he has done.
Olwo abantu bonna ne batya, ne bategeeza abalala omulimu gwa Katonda, ne bafumiitiriza ku ebyo by’akoze.
10 The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and shall take refuge in him. All the upright in heart shall praise him.
Omutuukirivu ajagulizenga mu Mukama, era yeekwekenga mu ye. Abo bonna abalina omutima omulongoofu bamutenderezenga!
