< Psalms 60 >

1 [For the Chief Musician. To the tune of "The Lily of the Covenant." A teaching poem by David, when he fought with Aram Naharaim and with Aram Zobah, and Joab returned, and killed twelve thousand of Edom in the Valley of Salt.] God, you have rejected us. You have broken us down. You have been angry. Restore us, again.
Ry Andrianañahare nifarie’o, dinemo’o, nifomboa’o; ehe sotraho zahay.
2 You have made the land tremble. You have torn it. Mend its fractures, for it quakes.
Nampiezeñezeñe’o ty tane; nabenta’o; melaño o jeba’eo, fa miozoñozoñe.
3 You have shown your people hard things. You have made us drink the wine that makes us stagger.
Nampahaoniña’o fisotriañe ondati’oo; nampitohofa’o divay mampivembèñe.
4 You have given a banner to those who fear you, that it may be displayed because of the truth. (Selah)
Nanolora’o viloñe o mañeveñe ama’oo; honjoneñe ty ami’ty hatò. Selà
5 So that your beloved may be delivered, save with your right hand and answer me.
Soa te ho hahàñe o kokoa’oo; rombaho am-pità’o havana; toiño iraho.
6 God has spoken from his sanctuary: "I will triumph. I will divide Shechem, and measure out the Valley of Succoth.
Nitsara ami’ty hamasiña’e t’i Andrianañahare: Hitreñe iraho, ho zaraeko ty Sekeme, vaho ho zeheko ty vavatane’ i Sokote;
7 Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine. Ephraim also is the defense of my head. Judah is my scepter.
ahiko t’i Gilàde, naho ahiko t’i Menasè; fiaron-dohako t’i Efraime, kobaiko t’Iehodà;
8 Moab is my wash basin. I will throw my shoe on Edom. I shout in triumph over Philistia."
Koveta fisasako t’i Mòabe; fampipohan-kanako t’i Edome miroharohà ty amako, ry Pilisty.
9 Who will bring me into the strong city? Who will lead me to Edom?
Ia ty hampihova ahy amy rova fatratsey? Ia ty hiaolo ahy mb’ Edome mb’eo?
10 Haven't you, God, rejected us? You do not go out with our armies, God.
Tsy Ihe hao ry Andrianañahare ty nahafary anay? Tsy hitraofa’o fionjonañe hao, ry Andrianañahare o lahindefo’aio!
11 Give us help against the adversary, for the help of man is vain.
Oloro amy rafelahiy zahay, fa tsy vente’e ty fandrombaha’ ondatio.
12 Through God we shall do valiantly, for it is he who will tread down our adversaries.
I Andrianañahare ro fahareketa’ay, Ie ty handialia o rafelahi’aio.
