< Psalms 6 >
1 [For the Chief Musician; on stringed instruments, upon the eight-stringed lyre. A Psalm by David.] LORD, do not rebuke me in your anger, neither discipline me in your wrath.
Dawid dwom. Awurade nka mʼanim wɔ wʼabufuw mu, na ntwe mʼaso nso wɔ wʼabufuwhyew mu.
2 Be gracious to me, LORD, for I am frail. LORD, heal me, for my bones are trembling.
Hu me mmɔbɔ, Awurade, efisɛ meyɛ mmrɛw; Awurade sa me yare na me nnompe wɔ ahoyeraw mu.
3 And my soul is greatly troubled. But you, LORD, how long?
Me kra wɔ ahohia mu. Enkosi da bɛn, Ao Awurade, enkosi da bɛn?
4 Return, LORD. Deliver my soul. Save me because of your lovingkindness.
San bra, Awurade, na begye me nkwa; gye me, wo dɔ a enni nhuammɔ no nti.
5 For in death there is no memory of you. In Sheol, who shall give you thanks? (Sheol )
Obi a wawu no renkae wo da, hena na ofi ɔda mu kamfo wo? (Sheol )
6 I am weary with my groaning. Every night I drench my bed; I melt my couch with my tears.
Apinisi ama mayɛ mmerɛw. Anadwo mu nyinaa mede agyaadwotwa fɔw me mpa, na me nusu fɔw me sumii.
7 My eye wastes away because of grief. It grows old because of all my adversaries.
Awerɛhow ama mʼani so ayɛ me kusuu. Ɛredum; mʼatamfo nyinaa nti.
8 Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity, for the LORD has heard the sound of my weeping.
Mo nnebɔneyɛfo, montwe mo ho mfi me ho! efisɛ Awurade ate me sufrɛ.
9 The LORD has heard my plea. The LORD has accepted my prayer.
Awurade ate me mmɔborɔsu; Awurade tie me sufrɛ.
10 May all my enemies be ashamed and greatly terrified. May they turn back, suddenly ashamed.
Mʼatamfo nyinaa anim begu ase na wɔn ho adwiriw wɔn; na wɔapatuw de fɛre asan wɔn akyi.
