< Psalms 16 >
1 [A Poem by David.] Preserve me, God, for in you do I take refuge.
David ƒe ha si wɔa dɔ ɖe ame dzi. O! Mawu, na manɔ dedie, elabena wò mee mebe ɖo.
2 I said to the LORD, "You are my Lord. Apart from you I have no good thing."
Megblɔ na Yehowa be, “Wòe nye nye Aƒetɔ; nu nyui aɖeke mele asinye kpe ɖe ŋuwò o.”
3 As for the holy ones who are in the land, they are the excellent ones in whom is all my delight.
Ame kɔkɔe siwo le anyigba dzi la woe nye bubume siwo ƒe nu nyoa ŋunye vevie.
4 Their sorrows will multiply who pay a dowry for another. Their drink offerings of blood I will not offer, nor take their names on my lips.
Ame siwo ati mawu tutɔwo yome la, adzi woƒe vevesesewo ɖe edzi. Nyemasa woƒe ʋuvɔsawo na mawu mawo, alo ayɔ woƒe ŋkɔwo o.
5 The LORD is the portion of my inheritance and my cup. You made my lot secure.
Yehowa, èɖo tɔnye gome kple nye kplu da ɖi nam; èna nye gomekpɔkpɔ le dedie nam.
6 The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places. Yes, beautiful is my inheritance.
Liƒo ƒe dzidzeka la dze teƒe nyuiwo nam; le nyateƒe me la, domenyinu si do dzidzɔ nam la su asinye.
7 I will bless the LORD, who has given me counsel. Yes, my heart instructs me in the night seasons.
Makafu Yehowa, ame si ɖoa aɖaŋu nam; le zã me ke hã, nye dzi xlɔ̃a num.
8 I have put the LORD before me at all times. Because he is at my right hand I will never be upended.
Metsɔ Yehowa ɖo ŋkunye me ɖaa, elabena ele nye nuɖusime, eya ta nyemavɔ̃ o.
9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my tongue rejoices. My body shall also dwell in safety.
Esia ta nye dzi le dzidzɔ kpɔm, nye aɖe tso aseye, eye nye ŋutilã hã agbɔ ɖe eme le dedinɔnɔ me,
10 For you will not abandon my soul in Sheol, neither will you allow your Holy One to see decay. (Sheol )
elabena màgblẽm ɖi na yɔdo alo ana wò, Kɔkɔetɔ la, nàkpɔ gbegblẽ o. (Sheol )
11 You make known to me the path of life. In your presence is fullness of joy. In your right hand there are pleasures forevermore.
Èna menya agbemɔ la; àtsɔ dzidzɔkpɔkpɔ ayɔ menye le ŋkuwò me, eye matsɔ vivisese si mevɔna o la anɔ wò nuɖusime tegbee.
