< Psalms 137 >
1 By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down. Yes, we wept, when we remembered Zion.
Jerusalem kageldoh phatnun Babylon vadungpang a chun katou un kakapgam tauve.
2 On the willows in its midst, we hung up our harps.
Keihon kasemjang houchu mong thingbah chung dunga chun kakhai un ahi.
3 For there, those who led us captive asked us for songs. Those who tormented us demanded songs of joy: "Sing us one of the songs of Zion."
Hikom a chun soh a eihente houchun la sah sahding eigouvin, chuleh eisugenthei houchun kipahtah'a la sahsahtei ding eigouvin, “Jerusalem la ho chu khatpen beh neisahpeh'un” atiuve.
4 How can we sing the LORD's song in a foreign land?
Ahinlah keihon hetkhahlou mi gam sunga hi Yahweh Pakai la hochu iti kasahdiuham?
5 If I forget you, Jerusalem, let my right hand be forgotten.
Vo Jerusalem nangma kasuhmil uleh kakhut jetlam hin semjang pehdan sumil jenghen.
6 Let my tongue stick to the roof of my mouth if I do not remember you; if I do not prefer Jerusalem above my chief joy.
Nangma kageldoh louva, Jerusalem chu kakipana sangpen sang a thupi a kagel lou le, ka leihi kadang chungah behden jenghen.
7 Remember, LORD, against the descendants of Edom, the day of Jerusalem; who said, "Raze it. Raze it even to its foundation."
O Yahweh Pakai Babylon sepaiten Jerusalem alonkhum niuva Edom mite thilbol chu geldoh tei in, “Sumang jengin,” “Toltoh sumat jengun” tin asam un ahi.
8 Daughter of Babylon, doomed to destruction, he will be blessed who rewards you, as you have served us.
O Babylon, nangma nakisu mang ding ahi. Nangin neibol nao bang banga nalethuh penpen chu anunnom ahi.
9 Blessed shall he be who takes and dashes your little ones against the rock.
Nachapangteu puimang a songpi chunga sepgoiho chu nunnom hen!
