Psalms 118

1 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever.

Louvae ao Senhor, porque elle é bom, porque a sua benignidade dura para sempre.

2 Let Israel now say that his loving kindness endures forever.

Diga agora Israel que a sua benignidade dura para sempre.

3 Let the house of Aaron now say that his loving kindness endures forever.

Diga agora a casa d'Aarão que a sua benignidade dura para sempre.

4 Now let those who fear the LORD say that his loving kindness endures forever.

Digam agora os que temem ao Senhor que a sua benignidade dura para sempre.

5 Out of my distress, I called on the LORD. The LORD answered me with freedom.

Invoquei o Senhor na angustia; o Senhor me ouviu, e me tirou para um logar largo.

6 The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can humans do to me?

O Senhor está comigo: não temerei o que me pode fazer o homem.

7 The LORD is my helper; and I will look in triumph on those who hate me.

O Senhor está comigo com aquelles que me ajudam; pelo que verei cumprido o meu desejo sobre os que me aborrecem.

8 It is better to take refuge in the LORD, than to put confidence in man.

É melhor confiar no Senhor do que confiar no homem.

9 It is better to take refuge in the LORD, than to put confidence in princes.

É melhor confiar no Senhor do que confiar nos principes.

10 All the nations surrounded me, but in the name of the LORD, I cut them off.

Todas as nações me cercaram, mas no nome do Senhor as despedaçarei.

11 They surrounded me, yes, they surrounded me. In the name of the LORD I indeed cut them off.

Cercaram-me, e tornaram a cercar-me; mas no nome do Senhor eu as despedaçarei.

12 They surrounded me like bees. They blazed like a fire among thorns. In the name of the LORD I cut them off.

Cercaram-me como abelhas: porém apagaram-se como o fogo d'espinhos; pois no nome do Senhor os despedaçarei.

13 I was pushed hard, to make me fall, but the LORD helped me.

Com força me impelliste para me fazeres cair, porém o Senhor me ajudou.

14 The LORD is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.

O Senhor é a minha força e o meu cantico; e se fez a minha salvação.

15 The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tents of the righteous. "The right hand of the LORD does valiantly.

Nas tendas dos justos ha voz de jubilo e de salvação: a dextra do Senhor faz proezas.

16 The right hand of the LORD is exalted. The right hand of the LORD does valiantly."

A dextra do Senhor se exalta: a dextra do Senhor faz proezas.

17 I will not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.

Não morrerei, mas viverei; e contarei as obras do Senhor.

18 The LORD has punished me severely, but he has not given me over to death.

O Senhor me castigou muito, mas não me entregou á morte.

19 Open to me the gates of righteousness. I will enter into them and praise the LORD.

Abri-me as portas da justiça: entrarei por ellas, e louvarei ao Senhor.

20 This is the gate of the LORD; the righteous will enter into it.

Esta é a porta do Senhor, pela qual os justos entrarão.

21 I will give thanks to you, for you have answered me, and have become my salvation.

Louvar-te-hei, pois me escutaste, e te fizeste a minha salvação.

22 The stone which the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.

A Pedra que os edificadores rejeitaram se tornou a cabeça da esquina.

23 This is the LORD's doing. It is marvelous in our eyes.

Da parte do Senhor se fez isto; maravilhoso é aos nossos olhos.

24 This is the day that the LORD has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.

Este é o dia que fez o Senhor: regozijemo-nos, e alegremo-nos n'elle.

25 Save us now, we beg you, LORD. LORD, we beg you, send prosperity now.

Salva-nos, agora, te pedimos, ó Senhor, ó Senhor, te pedimos, prospera-nos.

26 Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD. We have blessed you out of the house of the LORD.

Bemdito aquelle que vem em nome do Senhor: nós vos bemdizemos desde a casa do Senhor.

27 The LORD is God, and he has given us light. Bind the sacrifice with cords, even to the horns of the altar.

Deus é o Senhor que nos mostrou a luz: atae a victima da festa com cordas, até aos cornos do altar.

28 You are my God, and I will give thanks to you. You are my God, I will exalt you.

Tu és o meu Deus, e eu te louvarei; tu és o meu Deus, e eu te exaltarei.

29 Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever.
