< Psalms 109 >

1 [For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David.] God of my praise, do not remain silent,
Pou chèf sanba yo. Se yon sòm David. Bondye, m'ap fè lwanj ou! Tanpri, pa rete san ou pa di anyen.
2 for they have opened the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of deceit against me. They have spoken to me with a lying tongue.
Yon bann mechan ak yon bann mantò ap pale m' mal. Y'ap fè manti sou mwen.
3 They have also surrounded me with words of hatred, and fought against me without a cause.
Kote m' pase, moun ki rayi m' yo ap pale m' mal. Y'ap fè m' lagè san mwen pa fè yo anyen.
4 In return for my love, they are my adversaries; but I am in prayer.
Mwen renmen yo, men yo menm yo pa vle wè m'. Pou mwen menm, m'ap lapriyè nan pye ou.
5 They have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.
M'ap fè byen pou yo, yo menm y'ap fè m' mal. Mwen renmen yo, men yo menm yo rayi m'.
6 Set a wicked man over him. Let an adversary stand at his right hand.
7 When he is judged, let him come forth guilty. Let his prayer be turned into sin.
Lè yo jije l', se pou yo jwenn li koupab. Menm lapriyè l'ap fè yo, se pou yo pase pou peche.
8 Let his days be few. Let another take his office.
Se pou l' pa gen anpil jou pou l' viv ankò. Se pou yon lòt moun pran plas li nan travay li.
9 Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.
Se pou pitit li yo rete san papa. Se pou madanm li vin vèv.
10 Let his children be wandering beggars. Let them be sought from their ruins.
Se pou pitit li yo tounen vakabon k'ap mande. Se pou yo mete yo deyò nan vye kay kraze kote yo rete a.
11 Let the creditor seize all that he has. Let strangers plunder the fruit of his labor.
Se pou moun ki te prete l' lajan mete men sou tou sa ki pou li. Se pou etranje piye rekòt jaden li.
12 Let there be none to extend kindness to him, neither let there be any to have pity on his fatherless children.
13 Let his posterity be cut off. In the generation following let their name be blotted out.
14 Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered by the LORD. Do not let the sin of his mother be blotted out.
15 Let them be before the LORD continually, that he may cut off the memory of them from the earth;
Se pou Seyè a pa janm bliye peche yo te fè. Se pou li fè moun bliye yo nèt sou latè,
16 because he did not remember to show kindness, but persecuted the poor and needy man, the broken in heart, to kill them.
paske li pa janm chonje gen pitye pou pesonn. Li pèsekite malere yo, endijan yo, moun ki san sekou, jouk li touye yo.
17 Yes, he loved cursing, and it came to him. He did not delight in blessing, and it was far from him.
Li renmen bay madichon. Se pou madichon tonbe sou li. Li pa renmen bay benediksyon. Se pou pesonn pa ba li benediksyon.
18 He clothed himself also with cursing as with his garment. It came into his inward parts like water, like oil into his bones.
19 Let it be to him as the clothing with which he covers himself, for the belt that is always around him.
Se pou madichon kouvri l' tankou dra. Se pou madichon mare nan ren l' tankou yon sentiwon.
20 This is the reward of my adversaries from the LORD, of those who speak evil against my soul.
Se konsa pou Seyè a pini moun ki pa vle wè m' yo, moun k'ap pale m' mal yo.
21 But deal with me, the LORD the Lord, for your name's sake, because your loving kindness is good, deliver me;
Men, Seyè, Bondye mwen, fè kichòy pou mwen non, pou sa sèvi yon lwanj pou ou. Delivre m' non paske ou p'ap janm sispann renmen m'.
22 for I am poor and needy. My heart is wounded within me.
Se yon pòv malere san sekou mwen ye, kè m' ap fann.
23 I fade away like an evening shadow. I am shaken off like a locust.
Kò m' ap tchoule tankou solèy k'ap kouche. Mwen tankou bigay van ap pote ale.
24 My knees are weak through fasting. My body is thin and lacks fat.
Jenou m' fèb sitèlman mwen pa manje. Mwen tounen zo ak po. Mwen fèb anpil!
25 I have also become a reproach to them. When they see me, they shake their head.
Lè moun wè m', y'ap fè siy sou mwen, y'ap pase m' nan rizib.
26 Help me, LORD, my God. Save me according to your loving kindness;
Ede m' non, Seyè, Bondye mwen! Delivre m' paske ou gen bon kè.
27 that they may know that this is your hand; that you, LORD, have done it.
28 They may curse, but you bless. When they arise, they will be shamed, but your servant shall rejoice.
Yo mèt ban m' madichon. Men, ou menm, w'ap ban m' benediksyon. Se pou moun ki pa vle wè m' yo wont. Men, mwen menm k'ap sèvi ou la, se pou m' gen kè kontan.
29 Let my adversaries be clothed with dishonor. Let them cover themselves with their own shame as with a robe.
Se pou moun ki pa vle wè m' yo wont, se pou dezonè tonbe sou yo.
30 I will give great thanks to the LORD with my mouth. Yes, I will praise him among the multitude.
M'ap louvri bouch mwen tout lajè pou m' di Seyè a mèsi. M'ap fè lwanj li lè tout pèp la reyini,
31 For he will stand at the right hand of the needy, to save him from those who judge his soul.
paske li pran defans pòv malere a, li delivre l' anba men moun ki te kondannen l' yo.
