Matthew 4
1 Then Yeshua was led up by the Rukha into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.
उस वक़्त रूह ईसा को जंगल में ले गया ताकि इब्लीस से आज़माया जाए।
2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was hungry afterward.
और चालीस दिन और चालीस रात फ़ाक़ा कर के आख़िर को उसे भूख लगी।
3 And the tempter came and said to him, "If you are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread."
और आज़माने वाले ने पास आकर उस से कहा “अगर तू ख़ुदा का बेटा है तो फ़रमा कि ये पत्थर रोटियाँ बन जाएँ।”
4 But he answered and said, "It is written, 'Humankind cannot live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.'"
उस ने जवाब में कहा, “लिखा है आदमी सिर्फ़ रोटी ही से ज़िन्दा न रहेगा; बल्कि हर एक बात से जो ख़ुदा के मुँह से निकलती है।”
5 Then the devil took him into the holy city. He set him on the pinnacle of the temple,
तब इब्लीस उसे मुक़द्दस शहर में ले गया और हैकल के कंगूरे पर खड़ा करके उस से कहा।
6 and said to him, "If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, for it is written, 'He will put his angels in charge of you.' and, 'In their hands they will lift you up, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.'"
“अगर तू ख़ुदा का बेटा है तो अपने आपको नीचे गिरा दे; क्यूँकि लिखा है कि वह तेरे बारे में अपने फ़रिश्तों को हुक्म देगा, और वह तुझे अपने हाथों पर उठा लेंगे ताकि ऐसा न हो कि तेरे पैर को पत्थर से ठेस लगे’।”
7 Yeshua said to him, "Again, it is written, 'Do not test the Lord, your God.'"
ईसा ने उस से कहा, “ये भी लिखा है; तू ख़ुदावन्द अपने ख़ुदा की आज़माइश न कर।”
8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world, and their glory.
फिर इब्लीस उसे एक बहुत ऊँचे पहाड़ पर ले गया, और दुनिया की सब सल्तनतें और उन की शान — ओ शौकत उसे दिखाई।
9 And he said to him, "I will give you all of these things, if you will fall down and worship me."
और उससे कहा कि अगर तू झुक कर मुझे सज्दा करे तो ये सब कुछ तुझे दे दूँगा
10 Then Yeshua said to him, "Go away, Satana. For it is written, 'You are to worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.'"
ईसा ने उस से कहा, “ऐ शैतान दूर हो क्यूँकि लिखा है, तू ख़ुदावन्द अपने ख़ुदा को सज्दा कर और सिर्फ़ उसी की इबादत कर।”
11 Then the devil left him, and look, angels came and served him.
तब इब्लीस उस के पास से चला गया; और देखो फ़रिश्ते आ कर उस की ख़िदमत करने लगे।
12 Now when he heard that Yukhanan was delivered up, he withdrew into Galila.
जब उस ने सुना कि यूहन्ना पकड़वा दिया गया तो गलील को रवाना हुआ;
13 And leaving Natsrath, he came and lived in Kepharnakhum, which is by the lake, in the region of Zebulon and Naptali,
और नासरत को छोड़ कर कफ़रनहूम में जा बसा जो झील के किनारे ज़बलून और नफ़्ताली की सरहद पर है।
14 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Eshaya the prophet, saying,
ताकि जो यसा'याह नबी की मारिफ़त कहा गया था, वो पूरा हो।
15 "The land of Zebulon and the land of Naptali, toward the lake, beyond the Yurdinan, Galila of the nations.
“ज़बलून का इलाक़ा, और नफ़्ताली का इलाक़ा, दरिया की राह यर्दन के पार, ग़ैर क़ौमों की गलील:
16 The people sitting in darkness have seen a great light, and those living in the land and shadow of death, on them a light has dawned."
या'नी जो लोग अन्धेरे में बैठे थे, उन्होंने बड़ी रौशनी देखी; और जो मौत के मुल्क और साए में बैठे थे, उन पर रोशनी चमकी।”
17 From that time on, Yeshua began to preach and say, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near."
उस वक़्त से ईसा ने एलान करना और ये कहना शुरू किया “तौबा करो, क्यूँकि आस्मान की बादशाही नज़दीक आ गई है।”
18 And walking by the lake of Galila, he saw two brothers: Shimon, who is called Kipha, and Andreus, his brother, casting a net into the lake; for they were fishermen.
उस ने गलील की झील के किनारे फिरते हुए दो भाइयों या'नी शमौन को जो पतरस कहलाता है; और उस के भाई अन्द्रियास को। झील में जाल डालते देखा, क्यूँकि वह मछली पकड़ने वाले थे।
19 And he said to them, "Come, follow me, and I will make you fishers of people."
और उन से कहा, “मेरे पीछे चले आओ, मैं तुम को आदमी पकड़ने वाला बनाऊँगा।”
20 And they immediately left their nets and followed him.
वो फ़ौरन जाल छोड़ कर उस के पीछे हो लिए।
21 Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, Yaquv the son of Zabedai, and Yukhanan his brother, in the boat with Zabedai their father, mending their nets, and he called them.
वहाँ से आगे बढ़ कर उस ने और दो भाइयों या'नी, ज़ब्दी के बेटे याक़ूब और उस के भाई यूहन्ना को देखा। कि अपने बाप ज़ब्दी के साथ नाव पर अपने जालों की मरम्मत कर रहे हैं। और उन को बुलाया।
22 And they immediately left the boat and their father, and followed him.
वह फ़ौरन नाव और अपने बाप को छोड़ कर उस के पीछे हो लिए।
23 And Yeshua went about in all Galila, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the Good News of the Kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness among the people.
ईसा पुरे गलील में फिरता रहा, और उनके इबादतख़ानों में तालीम देता, और बादशाही की ख़ुशख़बरी का एलान करता और लोगों की हर तरह की बीमारी और हर तरह की कमज़ोरी को दूर करता रहा।
24 And the report about him went out into all Syria, and they brought to him all who were sick, afflicted with various diseases and torments, possessed with demons, and epileptics, and paralytics; and he healed them.
और उस की शोहरत पूरे सूब — ए — सूरिया में फैल गई, और लोग सब बिमारों को जो तरह — तरह की बीमारियों और तकलीफ़ों में गिरफ़्तार थे; और उन को जिन में बदरूहें थी, और मिर्गी वालों और मफ़्लूजों को उस के पास लाए और उसने उन को अच्छा किया।
25 And large crowds from Galila, and Decapolis, and Urishlim, and Yehuda, and from beyond the Yurdinan followed him.
और गलील, और दिकपुलिस, और येरूशलेम, और यहूदिया और यर्दन के पार से बड़ी भीड़ उसके पीछे हो ली।
