Mark 15
1 Immediately in the morning the chief priests, with the elders and scribes, and the whole council, held a consultation, and bound Yeshua, and carried him away, and delivered him to Pilate.
Dès le matin, les principaux sacrificateurs tinrent conseil avec les anciens et les scribes et tout le Sanhédrin; et, après avoir fait lier Jésus, ils l'emmenèrent et le livrèrent à Pilate.
2 Pilate asked him, "Are you the King of the Jews?" He answered, "You say so."
Pilate lui demanda: C'est toi qui es le roi des Juifs? Jésus lui répondit: Tu le dis!
3 The chief priests accused him of many things.
Les principaux sacrificateurs portaient contre lui plusieurs accusations;
4 Pilate again asked him, "Have you no answer? See how many things they testify against you."
et Pilate l'interrogea encore et lui dit: Ne réponds-tu rien? Vois combien d'accusations ils portent contre toi!
5 But Yeshua made no further answer, and Pilate was amazed.
Mais Jésus ne répondit plus rien, de sorte que Pilate en était étonné.
6 Now at the feast he used to release to them one prisoner, whom they requested.
Or, à chaque fête de Pâque, il leur relâchait un prisonnier, celui qu'ils demandaient.
7 There was one called Bar-Aba, bound with those who had made insurrection, who in the insurrection had committed murder.
Il y en avait un, nommé Barabbas, qui était en prison avec des séditieux, pour un meurtre qu'ils avaient commis dans une émeute.
8 And the crowd went up and began to ask him to do for them according to his custom.
La foule, étant montée, se mit à demander que Pilate leur fît comme il avait toujours fait.
9 Pilate answered them, saying, "Do you want me to release to you the King of the Jews?"
Il leur répondit: Voulez-vous que je vous relâche le roi des Juifs?
10 For he perceived that for envy the chief priests had delivered him up.
Car il comprenait bien que c'était par jalousie que les principaux sacrificateurs l'avaient livré.
11 But the chief priests stirred up the crowd, that he should release Bar-Aba to them instead.
Mais les principaux sacrificateurs poussèrent la foule à demander qu'il leur relâchât plutôt Barabbas.
12 Pilate again asked them, "What then should I do to him whom you call the King of the Jews?"
Pilate reprit la parole et leur dit: Que ferai-je donc de celui que vous appelez le roi des Juifs?
13 They shouted again, "Crucify him."
Ils crièrent de nouveau: Crucifie-le!
14 Pilate said to them, "Why, what evil has he done?" But they shouted all the louder, "Crucify him."
Pilate leur dit: Mais quel mal a-t-il fait? Ils crièrent plus fort: Crucifie-le!
15 Pilate, wishing to please the crowd, released Bar-Aba to them, and handed over Yeshua, when he had flogged him, to be crucified.
Pilate, voulant satisfaire la foule, leur relâcha Barabbas; et, après avoir fait battre Jésus de verges, il le leur livra pour qu'il fût crucifié.
16 The soldiers led him away within the court, which is the Praetorium; and they called together the whole cohort.
Les soldats emmenèrent Jésus à l'intérieur de la cour, c'est-à-dire dans le prétoire, et ils y rassemblèrent toute la cohorte.
17 They clothed him with purple, and weaving a crown of thorns, they put it on him.
Ils le revêtirent d'un manteau de pourpre, placèrent sur sa tête une couronne d'épines qu'ils avaient tressée,
18 They began to salute him, "Greetings, King of the Jews."
et ils se mirent à le saluer, en disant: Roi des Juifs, salut!
19 They struck his head with a reed, and spat on him, and bowing their knees, did homage to him.
Ils lui frappaient la tête avec un roseau, ils crachaient sur lui, et, fléchissant le genou, ils se prosternaient devant lui.
20 When they had mocked him, they took the purple off of him, and put his own garments on him. They led him out to crucify him.
Après s'être ainsi moqués de lui, ils lui ôtèrent le manteau de pourpre, lui remirent ses vêtements, et l'emmenèrent pour le crucifier.
21 And they forced one passing by, Shimon of Qurinaya, coming from the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to go with them, that he might carry his cross.
Un certain Simon, de Cyrène, père d'Alexandre et de Rufus, passait par là en revenant des champs; ils le contraignirent à porter la croix.
22 And they brought him to the place called Gagulta, which is translated, "The place of a skull."
Et ils conduisirent Jésus au lieu appelé Golgotha, ce qui signifie: le lieu du Crâne.
23 They offered him wine mixed with myrrh to drink, but he did not take it.
Ils lui présentèrent à boire du vin, mêlé de myrrhe; mais il n'en prit point.
24 Crucifying him, they parted his garments among them, casting lots on them, what each should take.
Après l'avoir crucifié, ils se partagèrent ses vêtements, en les tirant au sort, pour savoir ce que chacun en aurait.
25 It was nine in the morning, and they crucified him.
C'était la troisième heure, quand ils le crucifièrent.
26 The superscription of his accusation was written over him, "THE KING OF THE JEWS."
Le motif de sa condamnation était marqué par cette inscription: Le Roi des Juifs.
27 With him they crucified two robbers; one on his right hand, and one on his left.
On crucifia aussi avec lui deux brigands, l'un à sa droite, l'autre à sa gauche.
28 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, "And he was numbered with transgressors."
[Ainsi s'accomplit cette parole des Écritures: «Il a été mis au rang des malfaiteurs.»]
29 Those who passed by blasphemed him, wagging their heads, and saying, "Ha. You who destroy the temple, and build it in three days,
Ceux qui passaient par là l'outrageaient en hochant la tête et en disant: Hé! Toi qui détruis le temple et qui le rebâtis en trois jours,
30 save yourself and come down from the cross."
sauve-toi toi-même, et descends de la croix!
31 Likewise, also the chief priests mocking among themselves with the scribes said, "He saved others. He cannot save himself.
De même aussi, les principaux sacrificateurs et les scribes disaient entre eux, en se moquant: Il en a sauvé d'autres; il ne peut se sauver lui-même!
32 Let the Meshikha, the King of Israyel, now come down from the cross, that we may see and believe him." Those who were crucified with him insulted him.
Que le Christ, le roi d'Israël, descende maintenant de la croix, afin que nous voyions et que nous croyions! Et ceux qui étaient crucifiés avec lui l'injuriaient aussi.
33 Now when it was noon, there was darkness over the whole land until three in the afternoon.
Quand la sixième heure arriva, il y eut des ténèbres sur tout le pays, jusqu'à la neuvième heure.
34 Then at three in the afternoon Yeshua called out with a loud voice, saying, "Elohi, Elohi, lema shabachthani?" which is translated, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"
A la neuvième heure, Jésus cria d'une voix forte: Eloï, Eloï, lamma sabachtani. — c'est-à-dire: Mon Dieu, mon Dieu, pourquoi m'as-tu abandonné?
35 Some of those who stood by, when they heard it, said, "Look, he is calling for Eliya."
Quelques-uns de ceux qui étaient présents, l'ayant entendu, disaient: Voyez, il appelle Élie!
36 One ran, and filling a sponge full of vinegar, put it on a reed, and gave it to him to drink, saying, "Let him be. Let us see whether Eliya comes to take him down."
L'un d'eux courut remplir une éponge de vinaigre, la mit au bout d'un roseau, et il lui offrit à boire en disant: Laissez; voyons si Élie viendra le faire descendre!
37 Yeshua gave a loud cry, and gave up the spirit.
Mais Jésus, ayant jeté un grand cri, expira.
38 The veil of the temple was torn in two from the top to the bottom.
Alors le voile du temple se déchira en deux, depuis le haut jusqu'en bas.
39 And when the centurion, who stood by opposite him, saw that he cried out like this and breathed his last, he said, "Truly this man was the Son of God."
Le centenier, qui se tenait en face de Jésus, l'ayant vu expirer ainsi, dit: Cet homme était véritablement le Fils de Dieu!
40 There were also women watching from afar, among whom were both Maryam Magdelaitha, and Maryam the mother of Yaquv the younger and of Yusi, and Shalom;
Il y avait aussi des femmes qui regardaient de loin. De ce nombre étaient Marié-Madeleine, Marie, Mère de Jacques le mineur et de Joses, et Salomé,
41 who, when he was in Galila, followed him, and served him; and many other women who came up with him to Urishlim.
qui le suivaient et le servaient, lorsqu'il était en Galilée, ainsi que plusieurs autres qui étaient montées avec lui à Jérusalem.
42 When evening had now come, because it was the Preparation Day, that is, the day before the Sabbath,
Le soir était déjà venu, et c'était un jour de préparation, c'est-à-dire la veille du sabbat.
43 Yauseph of Arimathea, a prominent council member who also himself was looking for the Kingdom of God, came. He boldly went in to Pilate, and asked for the body of Yeshua.
Alors arriva Joseph d'Arimathée, membre considéré du Sanhédrin, et qui attendait, lui aussi, le royaume de Dieu. Il eut le courage de se présenter devant Pilate pour lui demander le corps de Jésus.
44 Pilate was surprised that he was already dead; and summoning the centurion, he asked him whether he had been dead long.
Pilate s'étonna que Jésus fût mort si tôt; et, ayant appelé le centenier, il lui demanda s'il y avait longtemps qu'il était mort.
45 When he found out from the centurion, he granted the body to Yauseph.
Informé par le centenier, il accorda le corps à Joseph.
46 He bought a linen cloth, and taking him down, wound him in the linen cloth, and placed him in a tomb which had been cut out of a rock. He rolled a stone against the door of the tomb.
Celui-ci, ayant acheté un linceul, descendit Jésus de la croix, l'enveloppa dans ce linceul et le mit dans un tombeau qui était taillé dans le roc; puis il roula une pierre à l'entrée du tombeau.
47 Maryam of Magdelaitha and Maryam, the mother of Yusi, saw where he was placed.
Or, Marie-Madeleine et Marie, mère de Joses, regardaient où on le mettait.
