Luke 23
1 The whole company of them rose up and brought him before Pilate.
൧പിന്നീട് അവർ എല്ലാവരുംകൂടി അവനെ പീലാത്തോസിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുപോയി:
2 They began to accuse him, saying, "We found this man subverting our nation, forbidding paying taxes to Caesar, and saying that he himself is the Meshikha, a king."
൨ഇവൻ ഞങ്ങളുടെ ജാതിയെ വഴി തെറ്റിക്കുകയും, താൻ ക്രിസ്തു എന്ന രാജാവാകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ട് കൈസർക്ക് കരം കൊടുക്കുന്നത് തടയുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നതായി ഞങ്ങൾ കണ്ട് എന്നു കുറ്റം ചുമത്തിത്തുടങ്ങി.
3 Pilate asked him, "Are you the King of the Jews?" He answered him, "You say so."
൩പീലാത്തോസ് യേശുവിനോടു: നീ യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ രാജാവോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്: ഞാൻ ആകുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
4 Pilate said to the chief priests and the crowds, "I find no basis for a charge against this man."
൪പീലാത്തോസ് മഹാപുരോഹിതരോടും പുരുഷാരത്തോടും: ഞാൻ ഈ മനുഷ്യനിൽ കുറ്റം ഒന്നും കാണുന്നില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
5 But they insisted, saying, "He stirs up the people, teaching throughout all Yehuda, beginning from Galila even to this place."
൫അതിന് അവർ: അവൻ ഗലീല മുതൽ യെഹൂദ്യയിൽ ഇവിടെ വരെ പഠിപ്പിച്ച് ജനത്തെ കലഹിപ്പിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഉറപ്പിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു.
6 But when Pilate heard it, he asked if the man was a Galilean.
൬ഇതു കേട്ടിട്ട് ഈ മനുഷ്യൻ ഗലീലക്കാരനാണോ എന്നു പീലാത്തോസ് ചോദിച്ചു;
7 When he found out that he was in Herod's jurisdiction, he sent him to Herod, who was also in Urishlim during those days.
൭യേശു ഹെരോദാവിന്റെ അധികാരത്തിൽ ഉൾപ്പെട്ടവൻ ആകുന്നു എന്നറിഞ്ഞിട്ട്, അന്ന് യെരൂശലേമിൽ വന്നുപാർക്കുന്ന ഹെരോദാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ അവനെ അയച്ചു.
8 Now when Herod saw Yeshua, he was exceedingly glad, for he had wanted to see him for a long time, because he had heard about him. He hoped to see some miracle done by him.
൮ഹെരോദാവ് യേശുവിനെ കണ്ടിട്ട് വളരെ അധികം സന്തോഷിച്ച്; അവനെക്കുറിച്ച് കേട്ടിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ട് അവനെ കാണ്മാൻ വളരെക്കാലമായി ആഗ്രഹിച്ചു, അവൻ വല്ല അടയാളവും ചെയ്യുന്നതു കാണാം എന്നു ആശിച്ചിരുന്നു.
9 He questioned him with many words, but he gave no answers.
൯എന്നാൽ ഹെരോദാവ് ചോദ്യങ്ങൾ ചോദിച്ചിട്ടും അവൻ അവനോട് ഉത്തരം ഒന്നും പറഞ്ഞില്ല.
10 The chief priests and the scribes stood, vehemently accusing him.
൧൦മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും ശാസ്ത്രിമാരും കഠിനമായി അവനെ കുറ്റം ചുമത്തിക്കൊണ്ട് നിന്നു.
11 Herod with his soldiers treated him with contempt and mocked him. Dressing him in luxurious clothing, they sent him back to Pilate.
൧൧ഹെരോദാവ് തന്റെ പടയാളികളുമായി അവനെ പരിഹസിച്ചു നിസ്സാരനാക്കി വെളുത്ത വസ്ത്രം ധരിപ്പിച്ച് പീലാത്തോസിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ മടക്കി അയച്ചു.
12 Herod and Pilate became friends with each other that very day, for before that they were enemies with each other.
൧൨അന്ന് ഹെരോദാവും പീലാത്തോസും തമ്മിൽ സ്നേഹിതന്മാരായിത്തീർന്നു; മുമ്പെ അവർ തമ്മിൽ എതിരാളികൾ ആയിരുന്നു.
13 Pilate called together the chief priests and the rulers and the people,
൧൩പീലാത്തോസ് മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരെയും പ്രമാണികളെയും ജനത്തെയും വിളിച്ചുകൂട്ടി.
14 and said to them, "You brought this man to me as one that subverts the people, and see, I have examined him before you, and found no basis for a charge against this man concerning those things of which you accuse him.
൧൪അവരോട്: ഈ മനുഷ്യൻ ജനങ്ങളെ വഴി തെറ്റിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു നിങ്ങൾ അവനെ എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നുവല്ലോ; ഞാനോ നിങ്ങളുടെ മുമ്പാകെ വിസ്തരിച്ചിട്ടും നിങ്ങൾ ചുമത്തിയ കുറ്റം ഒന്നും ഇവനിൽ കണ്ടില്ല;
15 Neither has Herod, for he sent him back to us, and see, nothing worthy of death has been done by him.
൧൫ഹെരോദാവും കണ്ടില്ല; ഹെരോദാവ് യേശുവിനെ നമ്മുടെ അടുക്കൽ മടക്കി അയച്ചുവല്ലോ; ഇവൻ മരണയോഗ്യമായത് ഒന്നും പ്രവർത്തിച്ചിട്ടില്ല എന്ന് ഉറപ്പാണ്;
16 I will therefore chastise him and release him."
൧൬അതുകൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ അവനെ ശിക്ഷ കൊടുത്ത് വിട്ടയയ്ക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
17 (Now he had to release one prisoner to them at the feast.)
൧൭പക്ഷേ ജനങ്ങൾ ഇവനെ നീക്കിക്കളക; ബറബ്ബാസിനെ വിട്ടുതരിക എന്നു നിലവിളിച്ചു.
18 But they all shouted out together, saying, "Away with this man. Release to us Bar-Aba"
൧൮ഉത്സവസമയത്ത് ഒരു തടവുകാരനെ മോചിപ്പിക്കുന്ന പതിവ് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു
19 (one who was thrown into prison for a certain revolt in the city, and for murder.)
൧൯ബറബ്ബാസ് നഗരത്തിൽ ഉണ്ടായ ഒരു വഴക്കും കൊലപാതകവും കാരണം തടവിലായവൻ ആയിരുന്നു.
20 Then Pilate spoke to them again, wanting to release Yeshua,
൨൦പീലാത്തോസിന് യേശുവിനെ മോചിപ്പിക്കുവാൻ ആഗ്രഹം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അതുകൊണ്ട് പിന്നെയും അവരോട് സംസാരിച്ചു.
21 but they shouted, saying, "Crucify. Crucify him."
൨൧അവരോ: അവനെ ക്രൂശിയ്ക്ക, ക്രൂശിയ്ക്ക എന്നു എതിരെ നിലവിളിച്ചു.
22 He said to them the third time, "Why? What evil has this man done? I have found no capital crime in him. I will therefore chastise him and release him."
൨൨അവൻ മൂന്നാമതും അവരോട്: അവൻ ചെയ്ത ദോഷം എന്ത്? മരണയോഗ്യമായത് ഒന്നും അവനിൽ കണ്ടില്ല; അതുകൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ അവനെ ശിക്ഷ കൊടുത്തു വിട്ടയയ്ക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
23 But they were urgent with loud voices, asking that he might be crucified. And their voices, and those of the chief priests, prevailed.
൨൩അവരോ അവനെ ക്രൂശിക്കേണ്ടതിന് തുടർച്ചയായി നിലവിളിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു; അവരുടെ നിലവിളി ഫലിച്ചു;
24 Pilate decreed that what they asked for should be done.
൨൪അവരുടെ അപേക്ഷപോലെ ആകട്ടെ എന്നു പീലാത്തോസ് വിധിച്ചു,
25 He released him who had been thrown into prison for insurrection and murder, for whom they asked, but he delivered Yeshua up to their will.
൨൫വഴക്കും കൊലപാതകവും കാരണം തടവിലായവനെ അവരുടെ അപേക്ഷപോലെ വിട്ടുകൊടുക്കുകയും യേശുവിനെ അവരുടെ ഇഷ്ടത്തിന് ഏല്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.
26 When they led him away, they grabbed one Shimon of Qurinaya, coming from the country, and placed on him the cross, to carry it after Yeshua.
൨൬യേശുവിനെ ക്രൂശിക്കാനായി കൊണ്ടുപോകുമ്പോൾ വയലിൽനിന്നു വരുന്ന ശിമോൻ എന്ന ഒരു കുറേനക്കാരനെ കണ്ട്. അവനെ കൊണ്ട് അവർ ക്രൂശ് ചുമപ്പിച്ചു. അവൻ യേശുവിന്റെ പിന്നാലെ നടന്നു.
27 A large crowd of the people followed him, including women who also mourned and lamented him.
൨൭ഒരു വലിയ ജനസമൂഹവും അവനെച്ചൊല്ലി ദുഖിച്ചു കരയുന്ന അനേകം സ്ത്രീകളും അവന്റെ പിന്നാലെ ചെന്ന്.
28 But Yeshua, turning to them, said, "Daughters of Urishlim, do not weep for me, but weep for yourselves and for your children.
൨൮യേശു തിരിഞ്ഞു അവരെ നോക്കി: യെരൂശലേം പുത്രിമാരേ, എന്നെച്ചൊല്ലി കരയണ്ട, നിങ്ങളെയും നിങ്ങളുടെ മക്കളെയും ചൊല്ലി കരയുവിൻ.
29 For look, the days are coming in which they will say, 'Blessed are the barren, the wombs that never bore, and the breasts that never nursed.'
൨൯പ്രസവിക്കാത്ത ഉദരങ്ങളും കുടിപ്പിക്കാത്ത മുലകളും ഭാഗ്യമുള്ളവ എന്നു പറയുന്ന കാലം വരുന്നു.
30 Then they will begin to say to the mountains, 'Fall on us,' and to the hills, 'Cover us.'
൩൦അന്ന് മലകളോട്: ഞങ്ങളുടെമേൽ വീഴുവിൻ എന്നും കുന്നുകളോട്: ഞങ്ങളെ മൂടുവിൻ എന്നും പറഞ്ഞു തുടങ്ങും.
31 For if they do these things in the green tree, what will be done in the dry?"
൩൧പച്ചമരത്തോട് ഇങ്ങനെ അവർ ചെയ്യുന്നെങ്കിൽ ഉണങ്ങിയതിന് എന്താണ് സംഭവിക്കുക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
32 There were also others, two criminals, led with him to be put to death.
൩൨കുറ്റവാളികളായ വേറെ രണ്ടുപേരെയും അവനോടുകൂടെ കൊല്ലേണ്ടതിന് കൊണ്ടുപോയി.
33 When they came to the place that is called The Skull, they crucified him there with the criminals, one on the right and the other on the left.
൩൩തലയോടിടം എന്ന സ്ഥലത്ത് എത്തിയപ്പോൾ അവർ അവിടെ അവനെയും കുറ്റവാളികളായ, ഒരുവനെ വലത്തും ഒരുവനെ ഇടത്തുമായി, ക്രൂശിച്ചു.
34 And Yeshua said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." Dividing his garments among them, they cast lots.
൩൪അപ്പോൾ യേശു: പിതാവേ, ഇവർ ചെയ്യുന്നതു എന്താണെന്ന് അറിയാത്തതുകൊണ്ട് ഇവരോട് ക്ഷമിക്കേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. പിന്നീട് അവർ അവന്റെ വസ്ത്രം പങ്കിടാനായി ചീട്ടിട്ടു.
35 The people stood watching. The rulers also scoffed at him, saying, "He saved others. Let him save himself, if this is the Meshikha of God, his Chosen One."
൩൫ജനം നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ട് നിന്നു. ഇവൻ മറ്റുള്ളവരെ രക്ഷിച്ചുവല്ലോ; ദൈവം തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത ക്രിസ്തു എങ്കിൽ സ്വയം രക്ഷിയ്ക്കട്ടെ എന്നു ഭരണകർത്താക്കളും പരിഹസിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു.
36 The soldiers also mocked him, coming to him and offering him vinegar,
൩൬പടയാളികളും അവനെ പരിഹസിച്ചു അടുത്തുവന്ന് അവന് പുളിച്ച വീഞ്ഞ് കാണിച്ചു.
37 and saying, "If you are the King of the Jews, save yourself."
൩൭നീ യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ രാജാവ് എങ്കിൽ നിന്നെത്തന്നെ രക്ഷിയ്ക്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
38 An inscription was also written above him: "THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS."
൩൮ഇവൻ യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ രാജാവ് എന്നു ഒരു തലക്കെട്ട് അവന്റെ മീതെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
39 One of the criminals who hung there insulted him, saying, "Are you not the Meshikha? Save yourself and us."
൩൯അവനോടൊപ്പം തൂക്കിയ കുറ്റക്കാരിൽ ഒരുവൻ: നീ ക്രിസ്തു അല്ലയോ? നിന്നെയും ഞങ്ങളെയും രക്ഷിയ്ക്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവനെ കളിയാക്കി.
40 But the other answered, and rebuking him said, "Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation?
൪൦മറ്റവനോ അവനെ ശാസിച്ചു: തുല്യശിക്ഷയ്ക്ക് വിധേയൻ ആയിട്ടും നീ ദൈവത്തെ ഭയപ്പെടുന്നില്ലയോ?
41 And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward for our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong."
൪൧നാമോ ന്യായമായിട്ട് ശിക്ഷ അനുഭവിക്കുന്നു; നാം പ്രവർത്തിച്ചതിന് യോഗ്യമായതല്ലോ കിട്ടുന്നത്; പക്ഷേ ഇവനോ തെറ്റ് ഒന്നും ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
42 And he said, "Yeshua, remember me when you come into your Kingdom."
൪൨പിന്നെ അവൻ: യേശുവേ, നിന്റെ രാജ്യത്തിൽ നീ രാജാവായി വരുമ്പോൾ എന്നെ ഓർത്തുകൊള്ളേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
43 And he said to him, "Assuredly I tell you, today you will be with me in Paradise."
൪൩യേശു അവനോട്: ഇന്ന് നീ എന്നോടുകൂടെ പറുദീസയിൽ ഇരിക്കും എന്നു ഞാൻ സത്യമായി നിന്നോട് പറയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
44 And it was now about noon, and darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon,
൪൪ഏകദേശം ആറാംമണി നേരമായപ്പോൾ സൂര്യൻ ഇരുണ്ടുപോയിട്ട് ഒമ്പതാം മണിവരെ ദേശത്തു ഒക്കെയും അന്ധകാരം ഉണ്ടായി.
45 for the sun's light failed. And the veil of the temple was torn in two.
൪൫ദൈവമന്ദിരത്തിലെ തിരശ്ശീല നടുവെ കീറിപ്പോയി.
46 And Yeshua, crying with a loud voice, said, "Father, into your hands I commit my spirit." Having said this, he breathed his last.
൪൬യേശു അത്യുച്ചത്തിൽ പിതാവേ, ഞാൻ എന്റെ ആത്മാവിനെ തൃക്കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നിലവിളിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞു; ഇതു പറഞ്ഞിട്ട് പ്രാണനെ വിട്ടു.
47 When the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, "Certainly this was a righteous man."
൪൭ഈ സംഭവിച്ചത് ശതാധിപൻ കണ്ടിട്ട്: ഈ മനുഷ്യൻ വാസ്തവമായി നീതിമാൻ ആയിരുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു ദൈവത്തെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തി.
48 All the crowds that came together to see this, when they saw the things that were done, returned home beating their breasts.
൪൮കാണ്മാൻ കൂടിവന്ന പുരുഷാരം ഒക്കെയും സംഭവിച്ചത് കണ്ടിട്ട് മാറത്തടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി.
49 All his acquaintances, and the women who followed with him from Galila, stood at a distance, watching these things.
൪൯അവന്റെ പരിചയക്കാർ എല്ലാവരും ഗലീലയിൽ നിന്നു അവനെ അനുഗമിച്ച സ്ത്രീകളും ഇതു നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ട് ദൂരത്ത് നിന്നു.
50 And look, a man named Yauseph, who was a member of the council, a good and righteous man
൫൦അരിമത്ഥ്യ എന്നൊരു യെഹൂദ്യപട്ടണക്കാരനായി നല്ലവനും നീതിമാനും ദൈവരാജ്യത്തെ കാത്തിരുന്നവനുമായ യോസഫ് എന്നൊരു മന്ത്രി ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
51 (he had not consented to their counsel and deed), from Arimathea, a city of the Yehudeans, who was also waiting for the Kingdom of God:
൫൧അവൻ അവരുടെ ആലോചനയ്ക്കും പ്രവൃത്തിക്കും അനുകൂലമല്ലായിരുന്നു.
52 this man went to Pilate, and asked for the body of Yeshua.
൫൨അവൻ പീലാത്തോസിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്ന് യേശുവിന്റെ ശരീരം ചോദിച്ചു,
53 He took it down, and wrapped it in a linen cloth, and placed him in a tomb that was cut in stone, where no one had ever been placed.
൫൩അത് ഇറക്കി ഒരു തുണിയിൽ പൊതിഞ്ഞു, പാറയിൽ വെട്ടിയിരുന്നതും, ആരെയും ഒരിക്കലും വെച്ചിട്ടില്ലാത്തതുമായ കല്ലറയിൽ വെച്ച്.
54 It was the day of the Preparation, and the Sabbath was drawing near.
൫൪അന്ന് യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ ഒരുക്കനാൾ ആയിരുന്നു, ശബ്ബത്തും ആരംഭിച്ചു.
55 The women, who had come with him out of Galila, followed after, and saw the tomb, and how his body was placed.
൫൫ഗലീലയിൽ നിന്നു അവനോടുകൂടെ അനുഗമിച്ച സ്ത്രീകളും ചെന്ന് കല്ലറയും അവന്റെ ശരീരം വെച്ച വിധവും കണ്ടിട്ട്
56 They returned, and prepared spices and ointments. On the Sabbath they rested according to the commandment.
൫൬മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി സുഗന്ധവർഗ്ഗവും പരിമളതൈലവും ഒരുക്കി; കല്പന അനുസരിച്ചു ശബ്ബത്തിൽ സ്വസ്ഥമായിരിന്നു.
