< Luke 11 >

1 It happened, that when he finished praying in a certain place, one of his disciples said to him, "Lord, teach us to pray, just as Yukhanan also taught his disciples."
اَنَنْتَرَں سَ کَسْمِںشْچِتْ سْتھانے پْرارْتھَیَتَ تَتْسَماپْتَو سَتْیاں تَسْیَیکَح شِشْیَسْتَں جَگادَ ہے پْرَبھو یوہَنْ یَتھا سْوَشِشْیانْ پْرارْتھَیِتُمْ اُپَدِشْٹَوانْ تَتھا بھَوانَپْیَسْمانْ اُپَدِشَتُ۔
2 So he said to them, "When you pray, say, 'Our Father in heaven, holy be your name. May your kingdom come. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.
تَسْماتْ سَ کَتھَیاماسَ، پْرارْتھَنَکالے یُویَمْ اِتّھَں کَتھَیَدھْوَں، ہے اَسْماکَں سْوَرْگَسْتھَپِتَسْتَوَ نامَ پُوجْیَں بھَوَتُ؛ تَوَ راجَتْوَں بھَوَتُ؛ سْوَرْگے یَتھا تَتھا پرِتھِوْیامَپِ تَویچّھَیا سَرْوَّں بھَوَتُ۔
3 Give us day by day our daily bread.
پْرَتْیَہَمْ اَسْماکَں پْرَیوجَنِییَں بھوجْیَں دیہِ۔
4 And forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.'"
یَتھا وَیَں سَرْوّانْ اَپَرادھِنَح کْشَمامَہے تَتھا تْوَمَپِ پاپانْیَسْماکَں کْشَمَسْوَ۔ اَسْمانْ پَرِیکْشاں مانَیَ کِنْتُ پاپاتْمَنو رَکْشَ۔
5 He said to them, "Which of you, if you go to a friend at midnight, and tell him, 'Friend, lend me three loaves of bread,
پَشْچاتْ سوپَرَمَپِ کَتھِتَوانْ یَدِ یُشْماکَں کَسْیَچِدْ بَنْدھُسْتِشْٹھَتِ نِشِیتھے چَ تَسْیَ سَمِیپَں سَ گَتْوا وَدَتِ،
6 for a friend of mine has come to me from a journey, and I have nothing to set before him,'
ہے بَنْدھو پَتھِکَ ایکو بَنْدھُ رْمَمَ نِویشَنَمْ آیاتَح کِنْتُ تَسْیاتِتھْیَں کَرْتُّں مَمانْتِکے کِمَپِ ناسْتِ، اَتَایوَ پُوپَتْرَیَں مَہْیَمْ رِنَں دیہِ؛
7 and he from within will answer and say, 'Do not bother me. The door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed. I cannot get up and give it to you'?
تَدا سَ یَدِ گرِہَمَدھْیاتْ پْرَتِوَدَتِ ماں ما کْلِشانَ، اِدانِیں دْوارَں رُدّھَں شَیَنے مَیا سَہَ بالَکاشْچَ تِشْٹھَنْتِ تُبھْیَں داتُمْ اُتّھاتُں نَ شَکْنومِ،
8 I tell you, although he will not rise and give it to him because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence, he will get up and give him as many as he needs.
تَرْہِ یُشْمانَہَں وَدامِ، سَ یَدِ مِتْرَتَیا تَسْمَے کِمَپِ داتُں نوتِّشْٹھَتِ تَتھاپِ وارَں وارَں پْرارْتھَناتَ اُتّھاپِتَح سَنْ یَسْمِنْ تَسْیَ پْرَیوجَنَں تَدیوَ داسْیَتِ۔
9 "I tell you, ask, and it will be given to you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened to you.
اَتَح کارَناتْ کَتھَیامِ، یاچَدھْوَں تَتو یُشْمَبھْیَں داسْیَتے، مرِگَیَدھْوَں تَتَ اُدّیشَں پْراپْسْیَتھَ، دْوارَمْ آہَتَ تَتو یُشْمَبھْیَں دْوارَں موکْشْیَتے۔
10 For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened.
یو یاچَتے سَ پْراپْنوتِ، یو مرِگَیَتے سَ ایوودّیشَں پْراپْنوتِ، یو دْوارَمْ آہَنْتِ تَدَرْتھَں دْوارَں موچْیَتے۔
11 "Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, he won't give him a snake instead of a fish, will he?
پُتْرینَ پُوپے یاچِتے تَسْمَے پاشانَں دَداتِ وا مَتْسْیے یاچِتے تَسْمَے سَرْپَں دَداتِ
12 Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion?
وا اَنْڈے یاچِتے تَسْمَے ورِشْچِکَں دَداتِ یُشْماکَں مَدھْیے کَ ایتادرِشَح پِتاسْتے؟
13 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Rukha d'Qudsha to those who ask him?"
تَسْمادیوَ یُویَمَبھَدْرا اَپِ یَدِ سْوَسْوَبالَکیبھْیَ اُتَّمانِ دْرَوْیانِ داتُں جانِیتھَ تَرْہْیَسْماکَں سْوَرْگَسْتھَح پِتا نِجَیاچَکیبھْیَح کِں پَوِتْرَمْ آتْمانَں نَ داسْیَتِ؟
14 He was casting out a demon, and it was mute. It happened, when the demon had gone out, the mute man spoke; and the crowds were amazed.
اَنَنْتَرَں یِیشُنا کَسْماچِّدْ ایکَسْمِنْ مُوکَبھُوتے تْیاجِتے سَتِ سَ بھُوتَتْیَکْتو مانُشو واکْیَں وَکْتُمْ آریبھے؛ تَتو لوکاح سَکَلا آشْچَرْیَّں مینِرے۔
15 But some of them said, "He casts out demons by Baelzebub, the prince of the demons."
کِنْتُ تیشاں کیچِدُوچُ رْجَنویَں بالَسِبُوبا اَرْتھادْ بھُوتَراجینَ بھُوتانْ تْیاجَیَتِ۔
16 Others, testing him, sought from him a sign from heaven.
تَں پَرِیکْشِتُں کیچِدْ آکاشِییَمْ ایکَں چِہْنَں دَرْشَیِتُں تَں پْرارْتھَیانْچَکْرِرے۔
17 But he, knowing their thoughts, said to them, "Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation. A house divided against itself falls.
تَدا سَ تیشاں مَنَحکَلْپَناں جْناتْوا کَتھَیاماسَ، کَسْیَچِدْ راجْیَسْیَ لوکا یَدِ پَرَسْپَرَں وِرُنْدھَنْتِ تَرْہِ تَدْ راجْیَمْ نَشْیَتِ؛ کیچِدْ گرِہَسْتھا یَدِ پَرَسْپَرَں وِرُنْدھَنْتِ تَرْہِ تیپِ نَشْیَنْتِ۔
18 If Satana also is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? For you say that I cast out demons by Baelzebub.
تَتھَیوَ شَیتانَپِ سْوَلوکانْ یَدِ وِرُنَدّھِ تَدا تَسْیَ راجْیَں کَتھَں سْتھاسْیَتِ؟ بالَسِبُوباہَں بھُوتانْ تْیاجَیامِ یُویَمِتِ وَدَتھَ۔
19 But if I cast out demons by Baelzebub, by whom do your children cast them out? Therefore will they be your judges.
یَدْیَہَں بالَسِبُوبا بھُوتانْ تْیاجَیامِ تَرْہِ یُشْماکَں سَنْتاناح کینَ تْیاجَیَنْتِ؟ تَسْماتْ تَایوَ کَتھایا ایتَسْیا وِچارَیِتارو بھَوِشْیَنْتِ۔
20 But if I by the finger of God cast out demons, then the Kingdom of God has come to you.
کِنْتُ یَدْیَہَمْ اِیشْوَرَسْیَ پَراکْرَمینَ بھُوتانْ تْیاجَیامِ تَرْہِ یُشْماکَں نِکَٹَمْ اِیشْوَرَسْیَ راجْیَمَوَشْیَمْ اُپَتِشْٹھَتِ۔
21 "When the strong man, fully armed, guards his own dwelling, his goods are safe.
بَلَوانْ پُمانْ سُسَجَّمانو یَتِکالَں نِجاٹّالِکاں رَکْشَتِ تَتِکالَں تَسْیَ دْرَوْیَں نِرُپَدْرَوَں تِشْٹھَتِ۔
22 But when someone stronger attacks him and overcomes him, he takes from him his whole armor in which he trusted, and divides up his plunder.
کِنْتُ تَسْمادْ اَدھِکَبَلَح کَشْچِداگَتْیَ یَدِ تَں جَیَتِ تَرْہِ ییشُ شَسْتْراسْتْریشُ تَسْیَ وِشْواسَ آسِیتْ تانِ سَرْوّانِ ہرِتْوا تَسْیَ دْرَوْیانِ گرِہْلاتِ۔
23 "He that is not with me is against me. He who does not gather with me scatters.
اَتَح کارَنادْ یو مَمَ سَپَکْشو نَ سَ وِپَکْشَح، یو مَیا سَہَ نَ سَںگرِہْلاتِ سَ وِکِرَتِ۔
24 The unclean spirit, when he has gone out of the person, passes through dry places, seeking rest, and finding none, he says, 'I will turn back to my house from which I came out.'
اَپَرَنْچَ اَمیدھْیَبھُوتو مانُشَسْیانْتَرْنِرْگَتْیَ شُشْکَسْتھانے بھْرانْتْوا وِشْرامَں مرِگَیَتے کِنْتُ نَ پْراپْیَ وَدَتِ مَمَ یَسْمادْ گرِہادْ آگَتوہَں پُنَسْتَدْ گرِہَں پَراورِتْیَ یامِ۔
25 When he returns, he finds it swept and put in order.
تَتو گَتْوا تَدْ گرِہَں مارْجِتَں شوبھِتَنْچَ درِشْٹْوا
26 Then he goes, and takes seven other spirits more evil than himself, and they enter in and dwell there. The last state of that person becomes worse than the first."
تَتْکْشَنَمْ اَپَگَتْیَ سْوَسْمادَپِ دُرْمَّتِینْ اَپَرانْ سَپْتَبھُوتانْ سَہانَیَتِ تے چَ تَدْگرِہَں پَوِشْیَ نِوَسَنْتِ۔ تَسْماتْ تَسْیَ مَنُشْیَسْیَ پْرَتھَمَدَشاتَح شیشَدَشا دُحکھَتَرا بھَوَتِ۔
27 It came to pass, as he said these things, a certain woman out of the crowd lifted up her voice, and said to him, "Blessed is the womb that bore you, and the breasts which nursed you."
اَسْیاح کَتھایاح کَتھَنَکالے جَنَتامَدھْیَسْتھا کاچِنّارِی تَمُچَّیحسْوَرَں پْروواچَ، یا یوشِتْ تْواں گَرْبّھےدھارَیَتْ سْتَنْیَمَپایَیَچَّ سَیوَ دھَنْیا۔
28 But he said, "On the contrary, blessed are those who hear the word of God, and keep it."
کِنْتُ سوکَتھَیَتْ یے پَرَمیشْوَرَسْیَ کَتھاں شْرُتْوا تَدَنُرُوپَمْ آچَرَنْتِ تَایوَ دھَنْیاح۔
29 When the crowds were gathering together to him, he began to say, "This generation is an evil generation. It seeks after a sign. No sign will be given to it but the sign of Yaunan.
تَتَح پَرَں تَسْیانْتِکے بَہُلوکاناں سَماگَمے جاتے سَ وَکْتُماریبھے، آدھُنِکا دُشْٹَلوکاشْچِہْنَں دْرَشْٹُمِچّھَنْتِ کِنْتُ یُونَسْبھَوِشْیَدْوادِنَشْچِہْنَں وِنانْیَتْ کِنْچِچِّہْنَں تانْ نَ دَرْشَیِشْیَتے۔
30 For even as Yaunan became a sign to the Ninevites, so will also the Son of Man be to this generation.
یُونَسْ تُ یَتھا نِینِوِییَلوکاناں سَمِیپے چِہْنَرُوپوبھَوَتْ تَتھا وِدْیَمانَلوکانامْ ایشاں سَمِیپے مَنُشْیَپُتْروپِ چِہْنَرُوپو بھَوِشْیَتِ۔
31 The Queen of the South will rise up in the judgment with the people of this generation, and will condemn them: for she came from a distant land to hear the wisdom of Shelemun; and look, one greater than Shelemun is here.
وِچارَسَمَیے اِدانِینْتَنَلوکاناں پْراتِکُولْیینَ دَکْشِنَدیشِییا راجْنِی پْروتّھایَ تانْ دوشِنَح کَرِشْیَتِ، یَتَح سا راجْنِی سُلیمانَ اُپَدیشَکَتھاں شْروتُں پرِتھِوْیاح سِیماتَ آگَچّھَتْ کِنْتُ پَشْیَتَ سُلیمانوپِ گُرُتَرَ ایکو جَنوسْمِنْ سْتھانے وِدْیَتے۔
32 The people of Nineveh will stand up in the judgment with this generation, and will condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Yaunan, and look, one greater than Yaunan is here.
اَپَرَنْچَ وِچارَسَمَیے نِینِوِییَلوکا اَپِ وَرْتَّمانَکالِکاناں لوکاناں وَیپَرِیتْیینَ پْروتّھایَ تانْ دوشِنَح کَرِشْیَنْتِ، یَتو ہیتوسْتے یُونَسو واکْیاتْ چِتّانِ پَرِوَرْتَّیاماسُح کِنْتُ پَشْیَتَ یُونَسوتِگُرُتَرَ ایکو جَنوسْمِنْ سْتھانے وِدْیَتے۔
33 "No one, when he has lit a lamp, puts it in a cellar or under a basket, but on a stand, that those who come in may see the light.
پْرَدِیپَں پْرَجْوالْیَ دْرونَسْیادھَح کُتْراپِ گُپْتَسْتھانے وا کوپِ نَ سْتھاپَیَتِ کِنْتُ گرِہَپْرَویشِبھْیو دِیپْتِں داتَں دِیپادھاروپَرْیّیوَ سْتھاپَیَتِ۔
34 The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore when your eye is good, your whole body is also full of light; but when it is bad, your body also is full of darkness.
دیہَسْیَ پْرَدِیپَشْچَکْشُسْتَسْمادیوَ چَکْشُ رْیَدِ پْرَسَنَّں بھَوَتِ تَرْہِ تَوَ سَرْوَّشَرِیرَں دِیپْتِمَدْ بھَوِشْیَتِ کِنْتُ چَکْشُ رْیَدِ مَلِیمَسَں تِشْٹھَتِ تَرْہِ سَرْوَّشَرِیرَں سانْدھَکارَں سْتھاسْیَتِ۔
35 Therefore see whether the light that is in you is not darkness.
اَسْماتْ کارَناتْ تَوانْتَحسْتھَں جْیوتِ رْیَتھانْدھَکارَمَیَں نَ بھَوَتِ تَدَرْتھے ساوَدھانو بھَوَ۔
36 If therefore your whole body is full of light, having no part dark, it will be wholly full of light, as when the lamp with its bright shining gives you light."
یَتَح شَرِیرَسْیَ کُتْراپْیَںشے سانْدھَکارے نَ جاتے سَرْوَّں یَدِ دِیپْتِمَتْ تِشْٹھَتِ تَرْہِ تُبھْیَں دِیپْتِدایِپْروجّوَلَنْ پْرَدِیپَ اِوَ تَوَ سَوَرْوَشَرِیرَں دِیپْتِمَدْ بھَوِشْیَتِ۔
37 Now as he spoke, a Pharisee asked him to dine with him. He went in, and sat at the table.
ایتَتْکَتھایاح کَتھَنَکالے پھِرُشْییکو بھیجَنایَ تَں نِمَنْتْرَیاماسَ، تَتَح سَ گَتْوا بھوکْتُمْ اُپَوِویشَ۔
38 When the Pharisee saw it, he was surprised that he had not first washed himself before dinner.
کِنْتُ بھوجَناتْ پُورْوَّں نامانْکْشِیتْ ایتَدْ درِشْٹْوا سَ پھِرُشْیاشْچَرْیَّں مینے۔
39 The Lord said to him, "Now you Pharisees cleanse the outside of the cup and of the platter, but your inward part is full of extortion and wickedness.
تَدا پْرَبھُسْتَں پْروواچَ یُویَں پھِرُوشِلوکاح پانَپاتْراناں بھوجَنَپاتْرانانْچَ بَہِح پَرِشْکُرُتھَ کِنْتُ یُشْماکَمَنْتَ رْدَوراتْمْیَے رْدُشْکْرِیابھِشْچَ پَرِپُورْنَں تِشْٹھَتِ۔
40 You foolish ones, did not he who made the outside make the inside also?
ہے سَرْوّے نِرْبودھا یو بَہِح سَسَرْجَ سَ ایوَ کِمَنْتَ رْنَ سَسَرْجَ؟
41 But give for gifts to the needy those things which are within, and see, all things will be clean to you.
تَتَ ایوَ یُشْمابھِرَنْتَحکَرَنَں (اِیشْوَرایَ) نِویدْیَتاں تَسْمِنْ کرِتے یُشْماکَں سَرْوّانِ شُچِتاں یاسْیَنْتِ۔
42 But woe to you Pharisees. For you tithe mint and rue and every herb, but you bypass justice and the love of God. You ought to have done these, and not to have left the other undone.
کِنْتُ ہَنْتَ پھِرُوشِگَنا یُویَں نْیایَمْ اِیشْوَرے پْریمَ چَ پَرِتْیَجْیَ پودِنایا اَرُدادِیناں سَرْوّیشاں شاکانانْچَ دَشَماںشانْ دَتّھَ کِنْتُ پْرَتھَمَں پالَیِتْوا شیشَسْیالَنْگھَنَں یُشْماکَمْ اُچِتَماسِیتْ۔
43 Woe to you Pharisees. For you love the best seats in the synagogues, and the greetings in the marketplaces.
ہا ہا پھِرُوشِنو یُویَں بھَجَنَگیہے پْروچّاسَنے آپَنیشُ چَ نَمَسْکاریشُ پْرِییَدھْوے۔
44 Woe to you. For you are like hidden graves, and the people who walk over them do not know it."
وَتَ کَپَٹِنودھْیاپَکاح پھِرُوشِنَشْچَ لوکایَتْ شْمَشانَمْ اَنُپَلَبھْیَ تَدُپَرِ گَچّھَنْتِ یُویَمْ تادرِگَپْرَکاشِتَشْمَشانَوادْ بھَوَتھَ۔
45 One of the Law scholars answered him, "Teacher, in saying this you insult us also."
تَدانِیں وْیَوَسْتھاپَکانامْ ایکا یِیشُمَوَدَتْ، ہے اُپَدیشَکَ واکْیینیدرِشیناسْماسْوَپِ دوشَمْ آروپَیَسِ۔
46 He said, "Woe to you Law scholars also. For you load people with burdens that are difficult to carry, and you yourselves won't even lift one finger to help carry those burdens.
تَتَح سَ اُواچَ، ہا ہا وْیَوَسْتھاپَکا یُویَمْ مانُشانامْ اُپَرِ دُحسَہْیانْ بھارانْ نْیَسْیَتھَ کِنْتُ سْوَیَمْ ایکانْگُلْیاپِ تانْ بھارانْ نَ سْپرِشَتھَ۔
47 Woe to you. For you build the tombs of the prophets, and your fathers killed them.
ہَنْتَ یُشْماکَں پُورْوَّپُرُشا یانْ بھَوِشْیَدْوادِنووَدھِشُسْتیشاں شْمَشانانِ یُویَں نِرْمّاتھَ۔
48 So you are witnesses and consent to the works of your fathers. For they killed them, and you build their tombs.
تینَیوَ یُویَں سْوَپُورْوَّپُرُشاناں کَرْمّانِ سَںمَنْیَدھْوے تَدیوَ سَپْرَمانَں کُرُتھَ چَ، یَتَسْتے تانَوَدھِشُح یُویَں تیشاں شْمَشانانِ نِرْمّاتھَ۔
49 Therefore also the wisdom of God said, 'I will send to them prophets and apostles; and some of them they will kill and persecute,
اَتَایوَ اِیشْوَرَسْیَ شاسْتْرے پْروکْتَمَسْتِ تیشامَنْتِکے بھَوِشْیَدْوادِنَح پْریرِتاںشْچَ پْریشَیِشْیامِ تَتَسْتے تیشاں کاںشْچَنَ ہَنِشْیَنْتِ کاںشْچَنَ تاڈَشْشْیِنْتِ۔
50 that the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation;
ایتَسْماتْ کارَناتْ ہابِلَح شونِتَپاتَمارَبھْیَ مَنْدِرَیَجْنَویدْیو رْمَدھْیے ہَتَسْیَ سِکھَرِیَسْیَ رَکْتَپاتَپَرْیَّنْتَں
51 from the blood of Habeil to the blood of Zekharya, who perished between the altar and the sanctuary.' Yes, I tell you, it will be required of this generation.
جَگَتَح سرِشْٹِمارَبھْیَ پرِتھِوْیاں بھَوِشْیَدْوادِناں یَتِرَکْتَپاتا جاتاسْتَتِینامْ اَپَرادھَدَنْڈا ایشاں وَرْتَّمانَلوکاناں بھَوِشْیَنْتِ، یُشْمانَہَں نِشْچِتَں وَدامِ سَرْوّے دَنْڈا وَںشَسْیاسْیَ بھَوِشْیَنْتِ۔
52 Woe to you Law scholars. For you took away the key of knowledge. You did not enter in yourselves, and those who were entering in, you hindered."
ہا ہا وْیَوَسْتھَپَکا یُویَں جْنانَسْیَ کُنْچِکاں ہرِتْوا سْوَیَں نَ پْرَوِشْٹا یے پْرَویشْٹُنْچَ پْرَیاسِنَسْتانَپِ پْرَویشْٹُں وارِتَوَنْتَح۔
53 And when he left there, the scribes and the Pharisees began to oppose him bitterly, and to provoke him to speak about many things;
اِتّھَں کَتھاکَتھَنادْ اَدھْیاپَکاح پھِرُوشِنَشْچَ سَتَرْکاح
54 lying in wait for him, seeking to catch him in something he might say, that they might accuse him.
سَنْتَسْتَمَپَوَدِتُں تَسْیَ کَتھایا دوشَں دھَرْتَّمِچّھَنْتو ناناکھْیانَکَتھَنایَ تَں پْرَوَرْتَّیِتُں کوپَیِتُنْچَ پْراریبھِرے۔
