< John 19 >

1 So Pilate then took Yeshua, and flogged him.
AYO nae si Pilato jachule si Jesus, ya jasaulag.
2 The soldiers twisted thorns into a crown, and put it on his head, and dressed him in a purple garment.
3 And they kept coming up to him and saying, "Greetings, King of the Jews." and they struck him with their hands.
Manmato jijot ya ilegñija: Jafa tatatmano jao, Ray Judio sija? Ya manae patmada.
4 Then Pilate went out again, and said to them, "Look, I am bringing him out to you, that you may know that I find no basis for a charge against him."
5 Then Yeshua came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple garment. And he said to them, "Look, here is the man."
Ayo anae si Jesus mapos juyong, jachuchule y coronan tituca yan y magagon agaga. Ya ilegña nu sija si Pilato: Estagüe y taotao!
6 When therefore the chief priests and the officers saw him, they shouted, saying, "Crucify. Crucify." Pilate said to them, "Take him yourselves, and crucify him, for I find no basis for a charge against him."
Anae malie güe ni y magas mamale yan y ofisiat sija, manaagang ilegñija: Atane gui quiluus, atane gui quiluus. Si Pilato ilegña nu sija: Chile jamyo ya inatane gui quiluus; sa guajo ti mañoda yo jafa na isao guiya güiya.
7 The Jewish leaders answered him, "We have a law, and by that law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God."
8 When therefore Pilate heard this saying, he was more afraid.
Si Pilato anae jajungog este na sinangan, guaja güe mas dangculo na minaañao;
9 He entered into the Praetorium again, and said to Yeshua, "Where are you from?" But Yeshua gave him no answer.
Ya jumalom talo gui palasyo ya ilegña as Jesus: Jago, taotao mano jao? Ya si Jesus taya inepeña.
10 Pilate therefore said to him, "Are you not speaking to me? Do you not know that I have power to release you, and have power to crucify you?"
11 Yeshua answered, "You would have no power at all against me, unless it were given to you from above. Therefore he who delivered me to you has greater sin."
Manope güe si Jesus: Ti siña y ninasiñamo contra guajo, yaguin ti manaejao gui sanjilo; enao mina y umentrega yo guiya jago, guaja mas dangculo na isao.
12 At this, Pilate was seeking to release him, but the Jewish leaders shouted, saying, "If you release this man, you are not Caesar's friend. Everyone who makes himself a king speaks against Caesar."
13 When Pilate therefore heard these words, he brought Yeshua out, and sat down on the judgment seat at a place called "The Pavement," but in Hebrew, "Gabbatha."
14 Now it was the Preparation Day of the Passover, at about noon. He said to the Jewish leaders, "Look, here is your King."
15 They shouted, "Away with him. Away with him. Crucify him." Pilate said to them, "Shall I crucify your King?" The chief priests answered, "We have no king but Caesar."
Entonses manaagang, ilegñija: Najanao! najanao! Atane gui quiluus!
16 So then he delivered him to them to be crucified. So they took Yeshua.
Entonses maentrega güe guiya sija para umatane gui quiluus. Ya sija cumone si Jesus!
17 And he went out, carrying the cross himself, to the place called "The Place of a Skull," which is called in Hebrew, "Gagulta,"
Ya güiya chumuchuchule y quiluusña, jumanao para ayo na lugat na mafanaan y sagan calabera, cumequeilegña gui Hebreo na finijo, Golgota;
18 where they crucified him, and with him two others, on either side one, and Yeshua in the middle.
19 Pilate wrote a title also, and put it on the cross. There was written, "YESHUA THE NATSRAYA, THE KING OF THE JEWS."
20 Therefore many Jews read this title, for the place where Yeshua was crucified was near the city; and it was written in Hebrew, in Latin, and in Greek.
21 The chief priests of the Jewish people therefore said to Pilate, "Do not write, 'The King of the Jews,' but, 'he said, I am King of the Jews.'"
Ayo nae elegñija as Pilato y manmagas na mamale yan y Judio sija: Chamo titigue: Ray y Judio sija: lao güiya umalog: Guajo y Ray y Judio sija.
22 Pilate answered, "What I have written, I have written."
Manope si Pilato: Jafa y jutugue esta jutugue.
23 Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Yeshua, took his clothes and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also the tunic. Now the tunic was without seam, woven from the top throughout.
24 Then they said to one another, "Let us not tear it, but cast lots for it to decide whose it will be," that the Scripture might be fulfilled, which says, "They divided my clothes among themselves, and for my clothing they cast a lot." Therefore the soldiers did these things.
Estesija y sendalo fumatinas.
25 But there were standing by the cross of Yeshua his mother, and his mother's sister, Maryam the wife of Qalyopa, and Maryam Magdelaitha.
Ya manotojgue gui fiun quiluus Jesus, si nanaña, yan y chelun nanaña as Maria, yan si Maria palaoan Cleopas, yan si Maria Magdalena.
26 Therefore when Yeshua saw his mother, and the disciple whom he loved standing there, he said to his mother, "Woman, look, your son."
27 Then he said to the disciple, "Look, your mother." From that hour, the disciple took her to his own home.
Despues, ilegña ni disipulo: Enaogüe si nanamo. Desde ayo na ora y disipulo inadaje güe gui guimaña.
28 After this, Yeshua, knowing that all things were now finished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, "I am thirsty."
29 A vessel full of sour wine was set there; so they put a sponge full of the vinegar on hyssop, and held it at his mouth.
30 When Yeshua therefore had received the vinegar, he said, "It is finished." He bowed his head, and gave up his spirit.
31 Therefore the Jewish leaders, because it was the Preparation Day, so that the bodies would not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a special one), asked of Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.
32 Therefore the soldiers came, and broke the legs of the first, and of the other who was crucified with him;
Manmanmato sija y sendalo ya majulog y adengña y finenana, yan y otro, ayo dos y guinin y matane gui quiluus yan guiya;
33 but when they came to Yeshua, and saw that he was already dead, they did not break his legs.
34 However one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out.
35 He who has seen has testified, and his testimony is true. He knows that he tells the truth, that you may believe.
36 For these things happened, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, "A bone of him will not be broken."
37 Again another Scripture says, "They will look on him whom they pierced."
Yan locue otro tinigue ilegña: Umaatan ayo ni janaadotgan.
38 After these things, Yauseph of Arimathea, being a disciple of Yeshua, but secretly for fear of the Jewish leaders, asked of Pilate that he might take away the body of Yeshua. Pilate gave him permission. He came therefore and took away his body.
39 Niqadimus, who at first came to Yeshua by night, also came bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about seventy-five pounds.
40 So they took the body of Yeshua, and bound it in linen cloths with the spices, according to Jewish burial practice.
Ayo nae jachule y tataotao Jesus, ya maafuyut magago yan paopao, taemanoja y costumbre y Judio sija an manmanjafot.
41 Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden. In the garden was a new tomb in which no one had ever yet been placed.
42 Then because of the Jewish Preparation Day (for the tomb was nearby) they put Yeshua there.
