< James 4 >

1 Where do conflicts and quarrels among you come from? Do they not come from your passions that war in your members?
IA wasa akamai o pei nan pung omail kin tapi sang ia? Kaidin sang nan omail inong sued akan, me kin pepei nan omail kokon akan?
2 You lust, and do not have. You kill, covet, and cannot obtain. You fight and make war. You do not have, because you do not ask.
Komail kin inong iong, ap sota aneki, komail kin kamela o kailongki, ap sota, me komail pan ale; komail kin akamai o mauin. A sota omail meakot, pwe komail sota kin poeki.
3 You ask, and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it for your pleasures.
Komail kin poeki, ap sota pwaida, pwe komail kin poeki sapung, pwe komail kin kapwaia kida omail inong sued akan.
4 You adulterers and adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
Komail kamal akan, komail sota asa me waroki ong sappa et, kin imwintiti ong Kot? Ari meamen, me men kompoke pan sappa, nan i imwintiti en Kot amen.
5 Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, "The Rukha which he made to dwell in us yearns jealously"?
De komail kiki ong, me puk saraui masani mal: Ngen o me kotikot lol omail, kin inong iong o nantiong dodok ong Kot.
6 But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.
A meid laud a mak ong kitail. I me a kotin masanieki: Kot kin kotin palian me aklapalap, ap maki ong me opampap akan.
7 Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Komail ari duki ong Kot a palian tewil, a ap pan tang wei sang komail.
8 Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
Kakondak mongiong ong Kot, a ap pan kupukupura komail, kamakelekel pa omail, komail me dipan; o kaminela mongiong omail, komail me lol riapot.
9 Lament, mourn, and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to gloom.
Kainsino, o maiei, o sangesang; omail kaukaurur en wuki ong me mauk, o omail peren ong insensued.
10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he will exalt you.
Akitikitik ki pein komail mon Kaun o, a ap pan kasapwil komail da.
11 Do not speak against one another, brothers. He who speaks against a brother or judges his brother, speaks against the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law, but a judge.
Ri ai ko komail de lokaia sued nan pung omail. Pwe me kin lokaia sued duen ri a, de kadeikada ri a, a kin lokaia sued ong kapung o kin kadeikada kapung o. A ma koe kadeikada kapung, pwe saunkapung amen koe.
12 Only one is the lawgiver and judge, who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor?
Amen ta saunkapung o saunkadeik, me kak ong kamaurela o kariala. A is koe, me kin kadeikada men imp a?
13 Come now, you who say, "Today or tomorrow let us go into this city, and spend a year there, trade, and make a profit."
Iet pil eu, komail me kin inda: Ran wet de lakap se pan kolang kanim wet o kauson wasa o par eu, o netinet ap kapwapwala.
14 Whereas you do not know what tomorrow will be like. What is your life? For you are a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.
A komail kin sasa, da me pan wiaui lakap, pwe da omail maur? Pwe komail kin ras ong tokoi, me kin mi ansau kis, ap mokonaidi.
15 For you ought to say, "If the Lord wills, we will both live, and do this or that."
Mak eta komail en inda: Ma Kaun o kotin kupura, o ma kitail memaureta, kitail pan wiada met de mo.
16 But now you glory in your boasting. All such boasting is evil.
A so, komail kin perenki omail susuai, nan susuai due met me sued.
17 To him therefore who knows to do good, and does not do it, to him it is sin.
Ari, melel ta, meamen me lelapok ki me mau, ap sota wia, nan i me dip ong i.
