< Isaiah 13 >
1 The burden of Babylon, which Isaiah the son of Amoz saw:
Esia nye ŋutega si Mawu ɖe fia Yesaya, Amoz ƒe vi la, tso Babilonia ƒe gbegblẽ ŋuti.
2 Set up a banner on the bare mountain. Lift up your voice to them. Wave your hand, that they may go into the gates of the nobles.
Mitu aflaga ɖe togbɛ ƒuƒlu tame. Mido ɣli yɔ nye aʋawɔlawo. Mimia asi wo, be woage ɖe bubumewo ƒe agbowo me.
3 I have commanded my consecrated ones; I have also called my mighty men to carry out my anger, my proudly exulting ones.
Meɖe gbe na nye aʋawɔla, meyɔ nye kalẽtɔwo be woaɖe nye dɔmedzoe afia, ame siwo tsoa aseye ɖe nye dziɖuɖu ŋu.
4 The noise of a multitude is in the mountains, as of a great people; the noise of an uproar of the kingdoms of the nations gathered together. The LORD of hosts is mustering the army for the battle.
Miƒu to anyi, ɣli le ɖiɖim le towo dzi abe ameha gã aɖewoe le afi ma ene. Miƒu to anyi, zi tɔ le fiaɖuƒewo me abe dukɔ geɖewoe le ƒu ƒom ene. Yehowa, Dziƒoʋakɔwo ƒe Aƒetɔ lae le amewo nu ƒom ƒu hena aʋawɔwɔ.
5 They come from a far country, from the uttermost part of heaven, even the LORD, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land.
Wotso anyigba didiwo dzi va, tso keke dziƒowo ƒe mlɔewo nu ke. Wova kple Yehowa kple eƒe dɔmedzoe ƒe aʋawɔnuwo be woagbã dukɔ la katã.
6 Wail; for the day of the LORD is at hand. It will come as destruction from Shaddai.
Mido ɣli, elabena Yehowa ƒe ŋkeke la tu aƒe. Ava abe gbegblẽ ene tso Ŋusẽkatãtɔ la gbɔ.
7 Therefore all hands will be feeble, and everyone's heart will melt.
8 They will be dismayed. Pangs and sorrows will seize them. They will be in pain like a woman in labor. They will look in amazement one at another. Their faces will be faces of flame.
Woƒe mo anɔ vevem hẽe, eye woafɔ ŋku ɖe wo nɔewo dzi gaa.
9 Look, the day of the LORD comes, cruel, with wrath and fierce anger; to make the land a desolation, and to destroy its sinners out of it.
Kpɔ ɖa, Yehowa ƒe ŋkeke dziŋɔ la gbɔna. Egbɔna kple dziku kple dɔmedzoe helĩhelĩ be woana anyigba la nazu gbegbe, eye wòatsrɔ̃ mi vɔ̃wɔla siwo le edzi.
10 For the stars of the sky and its constellations will not give their light. The sun will be darkened in its going forth, and the moon will not cause its light to shine.
11 I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity. I will cause the arrogance of the proud to cease, and will humble the haughtiness of the terrible.
Mahe to na xexea me le eƒe nu tovowo wɔwɔ ta, eye maxe fe na ame vɔ̃ɖiwo le woƒe nu vɔ̃wo ta. Matsi dadalawo ƒe dada nu, eye mate ŋutasẽlawo ƒe ɖokuidodoɖedzi ɖe to.
12 I will make people more rare than fine gold, even a person than the pure gold of Ophir.
Mana amegbetɔwo nave wu sika nyuitɔ, eye amegbetɔ kodzogbeawo hã ave wu sika si tso Ofir.
13 Therefore I will make the heavens tremble, and the earth will be shaken out of its place in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.
14 It will happen that like a hunted gazelle, and like sheep that no one gathers, they will each turn to their own people, and will each flee to their own land.
Abe sãde aɖe si wonya ɖe nu ene alo alẽha si ŋu kplɔla mele o ene la, ame sia ame agatrɔ ayi ɖe eƒe amewo gbɔ, eye ame sia ame asi ayi wo denyigba dzi.
15 Everyone who is found will be thrust through. Everyone who is captured will fall by the sword.
Woaƒo lãnu ɖe ame sia ame si wolé, eye ame si dzi asi su la atsi yi nu.
16 Their infants also will be dashed in pieces before their eyes. Their houses will be ransacked, and their wives raped.
Woatsɔ woƒe vidzĩwo axlã ɖe anyi le wo ŋkume. Woaha woƒe aƒewo, eye woadɔ kple wo srɔ̃wo sesẽtɔe.
17 Look, I will stir up the Medes against them, who will not value silver, and as for gold, they will not delight in it.
Kpɔ ɖa, made adã ta me na Mediatɔwo ɖe wo ŋu; ame siwo mebua klosalo ɖe naneke me o, eye sika gɔ̃ hã medoa dzidzɔ na wo o.
18 Their bows will dash the young men in pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb. Their eyes will not spare children.
Woƒe aŋutrɔwo tea ɖekakpuiwo ƒua anyi. Womekpɔa nublanui na funɔdɔmee o, alo ɖeviwo ƒe nu mewɔa nublanui na wo o.
19 Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldeans' pride, will be like when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.
Babilonia, fiaɖuƒewo ƒe nu xɔasi, Mawu amu Babiloniatɔwo ƒe dada aƒu anyi abe Sodom kple Gomora ene.
20 It will never be inhabited, neither will it be lived in from generation to generation. The Arabian will not pitch a tent there, neither will shepherds make their flocks lie down there.
Amewo magatso aƒe ɖe afi ma akpɔ gbeɖe o, eye wòazu aƒedo tso dzidzime yi dzidzime. Arabiatɔ aɖeke matu eƒe agbadɔ ɖe afi ma o, alẽkplɔla aɖeke mana eƒe lãwo natsyɔ akɔ anyi ɖe afi ma o.
21 But wild animals of the desert will lie there, and their houses will be full of jackals. Ostriches will dwell there, and wild goats will frolic there.
Ke gbemelãwo koe atsyɔ akɔ anyi ɖe afi ma. Favieʋuto ayɔ woƒe xɔwo me, golowo atso aƒe ɖe afi ma eye azizãwo aɖi adrɔ le afi ma.
22 Wolves will cry in their fortresses, and jackals in the pleasant palaces. Her time is near to come, and her days will not be prolonged.
Gbevuwo hã anɔ afi ma, Amegaxiwo axɔ woƒe dziƒoxɔ sesẽwo awɔ wo nɔƒewo. Eƒe ɣeyiɣi tu aƒe, eye eƒe ŋkekewo mahe ɖe megbe o.
