< Galatians 1 >

1 Paul, an apostle (not from humans, nor through humans, but through Yeshua Meshikha, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead),
Paul, an apostle, not from men, nor through man, but through Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead, —
2 and all the brothers who are with me, to the congregations of Galatia:
and all the brethren that are with me, to the churches of Galatia:
3 Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Yeshua Meshikha,
Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,
4 who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us out of this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father? (aiōn g165)
who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from the present evil world, according to the will of God our Father; (aiōn g165)
5 to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
to whom be the glory for ever and ever! Amen. (aiōn g165)
6 I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you by the grace of Meshikha to a different "good news";
I marvel that ye are so soon turning from him that called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel;
7 and there is not another "good news." Only there are some who trouble you, and want to pervert the Good News of Meshikha.
which is not another; only there are certain persons who are troubling you, and seeking to change entirely the gospel of Christ.
8 But even though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a "good news" other than that which we preached to you, let him be cursed.
But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel to you contrary to that which we preached to you, let him be accursed!
9 As we have said before, so I now say again: if anyone preaches to you a "good news" other than that which you received, let him be cursed.
As we have said before, so I now say again, If any one preach a gospel to you contrary to that which ye received, let him be accursed!
10 For am I now seeking the favor of people, or of God? Or am I striving to please people? For if I were still pleasing people, I would not be a servant of Meshikha.
For do I now seek the favor of men, or of God? Or am I endeavoring to please men? If I were still pleasing men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
11 But I make known to you, brothers, concerning the Good News which was preached by me, that it is not of human origin.
But I assure you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not after man;
12 For neither did I receive it from a human, nor was I taught it, but it came to me through revelation of Yeshua Meshikha.
for I did not receive it from man nor was I taught it by any man, but it was revealed to me by Jesus Christ.
13 For you have heard of my former way of life in Judaism, how I severely persecuted the church of God, and tried to destroy it.
For ye have heard of my conduct formerly in Judaism; that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and was destroying it,
14 I advanced in Judaism beyond many of my own age among my countrymen, being more exceedingly zealous for the traditions of my fathers.
and made progress in Judaism beyond many of the same age with me in my nation, being more exceedingly zealous for the traditions of my fathers.
15 But when God, who had set me apart from my mother's womb and called me through his grace, was pleased
But when it pleased him who set me apart from my very birth, and called me through his grace,
16 to reveal his Son to me, that I might preach him among those who are not Jewish, I did not immediately confer with flesh and blood,
to reveal his Son within me, that I might publish the glad tidings of him among the gentiles, immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood,
17 nor did I go up to Urishlim to those who were apostles before me, but I went away into Arabia. Then I returned to Damascus.
neither did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me, but I went away into Arabia, and returned again to Damascus.
18 Then after three years I went up to Urishlim to see Kipha and get information from him, and stayed with him fifteen days.
Then, after three years, I went up to Jerusalem to become acquainted with Cephas, and stayed with him fifteen days;
19 But of the other apostles I saw no one, except Yaquv, the Lord's brother.
but no other of the apostles did I see, save James the brother of the Lord.
20 Now about the things which I write to you, look, before God, I'm not lying.
Now as to what I am writing to you, behold, before God, I do not lie.
21 Then I came to the regions of Syria and Cilicia.
Afterwards I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia;
22 I was still unknown by face to the congregations of Yehuda which were in Meshikha,
and I was unknown by face to the churches of Judaea which were in Christ;
23 but they only heard: "He who once persecuted us now preaches the faith that he once tried to destroy."
but they were only hearing that “He who was once our persecutor is now preaching the faith which he was once destroying”;
24 And they glorified God because of me.
and they glorified God in me.
