Acts 1
1 The first account I wrote, Theophilus, concerned all that Yeshua began both to do and to teach,
Prezado Teófilo, em meu livro anterior eu escrevi a respeito de tudo o que Jesus fez e ensinou, desde o início
2 until the day in which he was received up, after he had given commandment through the Rukha d'Qudsha to the apostles whom he had chosen.
até o dia em que ele foi levado para o céu. Isso foi após ele ter dado orientações, por meio do Espírito Santo, para os apóstolos que ele havia escolhido.
3 To these he also showed himself alive after he suffered, by many proofs, appearing to them over a period of forty days, and speaking about God's Kingdom.
Por quarenta dias, depois da sua morte, ele apareceu a eles, provando que estava vivo com sinais convincentes. Ele apareceu e lhes falou a respeito do Reino de Deus.
4 Being assembled together with them, he commanded them, "Do not depart from Urishlim, but wait for the promise of the Father, which you heard from me.
Enquanto Jesus ainda estava com eles, deu a seguinte instrução: “Não saiam de Jerusalém. Esperem para que recebam o que o Pai prometeu, exatamente como eu lhes falei.
5 For Yukhanan indeed baptized in water, but you will be baptized in the Rukha d'Qudsha not many days from now."
É verdade que João batizou com água, mas em apenas alguns dias, vocês serão batizados com o Espírito Santo.”
6 Therefore, when they had come together, they asked him, "Lord, are you now restoring the kingdom to Israyel?"
Então, quando os discípulos encontraram Jesus, eles lhe perguntaram: “Senhor, já chegou o momento em que o senhor irá restabelecer o Reino de Israel?”
7 He said to them, "It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has set within his own authority.
Jesus lhes respondeu: “Vocês não precisam saber a respeito de tempos e épocas que são determinados pela autoridade do Pai.
8 But you will receive power when the Rukha d'Qudsha has come upon you. You will be my witnesses in Urishlim, in all Yehuda and Samaria, and to the farthest part of the earth."
Mas, receberão poder quando o Espírito Santo descer sobre vocês. E vocês serão minhas testemunhas em Jerusalém, em toda a Judeia e Samaria e até nos cantos mais distantes da terra.”
9 When he had said these things, as they were looking, he was taken up, and a cloud took him out of their sight.
Depois que Jesus lhes disse isso, ele foi levado para o céu, enquanto eles olhavam, e uma nuvem o encobriu da vista deles.
10 While they were looking steadfastly into the sky as he went, look, two men stood by them in white clothing,
Ao mesmo tempo em que eles olhavam atentamente para o céu, vendo Jesus subir, dois homens vestidos de branco apareceram, de repente, ao lado deles.
11 who also said, "You men of Galila, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Yeshua, who was received up from you into the sky will come back in the same way as you saw him going into the sky."
Eles perguntaram: “Homens da Galileia, por que vocês estão aqui, olhando para o céu? Esse mesmo Jesus, que estava com vocês e foi levado para o céu, voltará da mesma maneira que vocês o viram subir.”
12 Then they returned to Urishlim from the mountain called Olivet, which is near Urishlim, a Sabbath day's journey away.
Então, os discípulos foram embora do monte das Oliveiras e voltaram para Jerusalém. O monte fica a uma distância de mais ou menos a caminhada de um sábado daquela cidade.
13 When they had come in, they went up into the upper room, where they were staying; that is Kipha, Yukhanan, Yaquv, Andreus, Philipus, Tama, Bar-Tulmai, Mattai, Yehudah the son of Khalphai, Shimon the Zealot, and Yehudah the son of Yaquv.
Quando eles chegaram em casa, subiram para o andar superior, onde estavam hospedados. E lá se encontravam: Pedro, João, Tiago, André, Filipe, Tomé, Bartolomeu, Mateus, Tiago, filho de Alfeu, Simão, o revolucionário, e Judas, filho de Tiago.
14 All these with one accord continued steadfastly in prayer, along with the women, and Maryam the mother of Yeshua, and with his brothers.
Todos eles se uniram para orar, juntamente com as mulheres e com a mãe de Jesus, Maria, além dos irmãos dele.
15 In these days, Kipha stood up in the midst of the brothers (and the number of names was about one hundred twenty), and said,
Em um daqueles dias, Pedro se levantou e se voltou para os cerca de cento e vinte seguidores de Jesus, que também estavam reunidos lá.
16 "Brothers, it was necessary that this Scripture should be fulfilled, which the Rukha d'Qudsha spoke before by the mouth of Dawid concerning Yehudah, who was guide to those who took Yeshua.
Ele disse: “Meus irmãos e minhas irmãs, era preciso que se cumprisse o que está escrito nas Sagradas Escrituras, dito por Davi, pelo Espírito Santo, sobre Judas, que guiou aqueles que prenderam Jesus.
17 For he was numbered with us, and received his portion in this ministry.
Ele era considerado um de nós e teve parte neste ministério.”
18 Now this man obtained a field with the reward for his wickedness, and falling headfirst his body burst open, and all his intestines gushed out.
(Judas comprou um terreno com o dinheiro que recebeu pelo seu pecado. Nesse terreno ele caiu e se arrebentou e os seus intestinos se espalharam pela terra.
19 It became known to everyone who lived in Urishlim that in their language that field was called 'Khaqel-Dema,' that is, 'The field of blood.'
Todos que moravam em Jerusalém ouviram a respeito disso, e o lugar em que a morte de Judas aconteceu passou a se chamar “Aceldama”, que significa “Campo de sangue.”)
20 For it is written in the scroll of Psalms, 'Let his habitation be made desolate, and let no one dwell in it;' and, 'Let another take his office.'
Como está escrito no livro dos Salmos: “Deixe que a casa dele fique abandonada e que ninguém mais more lá.” E também: “Deixe que outra pessoa ocupe o seu lugar.”
21 "Of the men therefore who have accompanied us all the time that the Lord Yeshua went in and out among us,
“Portanto, precisamos escolher alguém que conviveu conosco durante todo o tempo que Jesus esteve entre nós.
22 beginning from the baptism of Yukhanan, to the day that he was received up from us, of these one must become a witness with us of his resurrection."
Alguém que tenha acompanhado desde quando João Batista estava batizando até o dia em que Jesus foi levado para o céu. Devemos escolher um homem para se juntar a nós como testemunha da ressurreição de Jesus.”
23 They put forward two, Yauseph called Bar-Shaba, who was surnamed Justus, and Matiya.
Então, foram apresentados dois nomes: José, apelidado de Justo, também conhecido como Barsabás, e Matias.
24 They prayed, and said, "You, Lord, who know the hearts of all people, show which one of these two you have chosen
Eles oraram juntos e disseram: “Senhor, você que conhece os pensamentos de todos, por favor, mostre-nos qual desses dois homens você escolheu
25 to take part in this ministry and office of apostle from which Yehudah turned away to go to his own place."
para substituir Judas como um apóstolo neste trabalho que ele abandonou, para ir ao lugar que merecia.”
26 They drew lots for them, and the lot fell on Matya, and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.
Eles, então, fizeram um sorteio, e Matias foi o escolhido. Ele foi considerado um apóstolo juntamente com os outros onze.
