Acts 8
1 Shaul was consenting to his death. A great persecution arose against the church which was in Urishlim in that day. They were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Yehuda and Samaria, except for the apostles.
Saul pedig szintén javasolta megölését. Azon a napon nagy üldözés támadt a jeruzsálemi gyülekezet ellen, és mindnyájan szétszéledtek Júdeának és Samáriának tájaira, az apostolokat kivéve.
2 Devout men buried Astapanos, and lamented greatly over him.
Istvánt pedig eltemették kegyes férfiak, és nagyon megsiratták.
3 But Shaul ravaged the church, entering into every house, and dragged both men and women off to prison.
Saul pedig pusztította az anyaszentegyházat: házról-házra járva férfiakat és asszonyokat elhurcolt, és tömlöcbe vetett.
4 Therefore those who were scattered abroad went around proclaiming the word.
Ők azonban szétszéledve, ahol csak jártak, hirdették az igét.
5 And Philipus went down to the city of Samaria, and proclaimed to them the Meshikha.
Fülöp lement Samária városába, és prédikálta nekik a Krisztust.
6 The crowds listened with one accord to the things that were spoken by Philipus, when they heard and saw the signs which he did.
A sokaság pedig egy szívvel-lélekkel figyelt azokra, amiket Fülöp mondott, hallva és látva a jeleket, amelyeket cselekedett.
7 For unclean spirits came out of many of those who had them. They came out, crying with a loud voice. Many who had been paralyzed and lame were healed.
Mert sokakból, akikben tisztátalan lelkek voltak, nagy hangon kiáltva kimentek, sok gutaütött és sánta pedig meggyógyult,
8 There was great joy in that city.
és nagy öröm lett abban a városban.
9 But there was a certain man, Shimon by name, who used to practice sorcery in the city, and amazed the people of Samaria, making himself out to be some great one,
Egy Simon nevű ember pedig már korábban gyakorolta abban a városban az ördögi tudományt, és elámította Samária népét, magát valami nagynak állítva.
10 to whom they all listened, from the least to the greatest, saying, "This man is that power of God which is called Great."
Mindnyájan figyeltek rá, kicsinytől nagyig, és ezt mondták: „Ez az Istennek a nagy ereje!“
11 They listened to him, because for a long time he had amazed them with his sorceries.
Azért figyeltek fel rá, mert hosszú időn át az ördögi mesterkedésekkel elámította őket.
12 But when they believed Philipus as he preached good news concerning the Kingdom of God and the name of Yeshua Meshikha, they were baptized, both men and women.
De miután hittek Fülöpnek, aki az Isten országára és a Jézus Krisztus nevére vonatkozó örvendetes dolgokat hirdette, megkeresztelkedtek, férfiak és asszonyok is.
13 Shimon himself also believed. Being baptized, he continued with Philipus. Seeing signs and great miracles occurring, he was amazed.
Simon maga is hitt, és megkeresztelkedve Fülöppel tartott, és látva, hogy jelek és nagy csodák történnek, elálmélkodott.
14 Now when the apostles who were at Urishlim heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent Kipha and Yukhanan to them,
Amikor pedig meghallották a jeruzsálemi apostolok, hogy Samária elfogadta az Isten igéjét, elküldték hozzájuk Pétert és Jánost.
15 who, when they had come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Rukha d'Qudsha;
Ők amikor lementek, könyörögtek értük, hogy vegyenek Szentlelket,
16 for he had not yet fallen upon any of them. They had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Yeshua.
mert még senkire közülük nem szállt rá, csak meg voltak keresztelve az Úr Jézus nevére.
17 Then they laid their hands on them, and they received the Rukha d'Qudsha.
Akkor kezeiket reájuk tették, és Szentlelket vettek.
18 Now when Shimon saw that the Rukha was given through the laying on of the apostles' hands, he offered them money,
Amikor pedig látta Simon, hogy az apostolok kézrátétele által adatik a Szentlélek, pénzt kínált nekik,
19 saying, "Give me also this power, that whomever I lay my hands on may receive the Rukha d'Qudsha."
és ezt mondta: „Adjátok nekem is ezt a hatalmat, hogy akire ráteszem kezeimet, az vegye a Szentlelket.“
20 But Kipha said to him, "May your silver perish with you, because you thought you could obtain the gift of God with money.
De Péter ezt mondta neki: „A pénzed veled együtt vesszen el, mivel azt gondoltad, hogy az Istennek ajándéka pénzen megvehető.
21 You have neither part nor lot in this matter, for your heart is not right before God.
Nincs neked részed, sem örökséged ebben a dologban, mert a szíved nem igaz az Isten előtt.
22 Repent therefore of this, your wickedness, and ask the Lord if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven you.
Térj meg azért ebből a gonoszságodból, és kérjed az Istent, talán megbocsátja neked szívednek gondolatát.
23 For I see that you are in the gall of bitterness and in the bondage of iniquity."
Mert látom, hogy keserű méregben és álnokság fogságában vagy.“
24 Shimon answered, "Pray for me to the Lord, that none of the things which you have spoken happen to me."
Simon pedig így felelt: „Könyörögjetek érettem az Úrhoz, hogy semmi azokból, amiket mondtatok, rám ne jöjjön.“
25 They therefore, when they had testified and spoken the word of the Lord, returned to Urishlim, and preached the Good News to many villages of the Samaritans.
Ők pedig, miután bizonyságot tettek, és hirdették az Úrnak igéjét, visszatértek Jeruzsálembe, és sok samáriai faluban prédikálták az evangéliumot.
26 But an angel of the Lord spoke to Philipus, saying, "Arise, and go toward the south to the way that goes down from Urishlim to Gahza. This is a desert."
Az Úr angyala pedig így szólt Fülöphöz: „Kelj fel, és menj el dél felé, arra a járatlan útra, amely Jeruzsálemből Gázába megy alá.“
27 And he arose and went. And look, there was a man from Ethiopia, a eunuch of great authority under Kandake, the queen of the Ethiopians, who was in charge over all her treasure. He had come to Urishlim to worship,
És elment. És íme, egy szerecsen férfi, Kandakénak, a szerecsenek királyasszonyának hatalmas komornyikja, aki az egész kincstárának felügyelője volt, és feljött imádkozni Jeruzsálembe;
28 and he was returning. And sitting in his chariot, he was reading the prophet Eshaya.
visszatérőben a szekerén ült, és olvasta Ézsaiás prófétát.
29 And the Rukha said to Philip, "Go and join up with that chariot."
A Lélek pedig ezt mondta Fülöpnek: „Menj oda, és csatlakozzál ehhez a szekérhez!“
30 And running near, Philip heard him reading the prophet Isaiah, and said, "Do you understand what you are reading?"
Amikor Fülöp odafutott, hallotta, amint Ézsaiás prófétát olvassa, és megkérdezte tőle: „Vajon érted-e, amit olvasol?“
31 He said, "How can I, unless someone explains it to me?" So he invited Philipus to come up and sit with him.
Ő pedig így felelt: „Hogyan érthetném, hacsak valaki meg nem magyarázza nekem?“És kérte Fülöpöt, hogy szálljon fel, és üljön mellé.
32 Now the passage of the Scripture which he was reading was this, "He was led like a sheep to the slaughter, and like a lamb before its shearer is silent, so he does not open his mouth.
Az Írás helye pedig, melyet olvasott, ez volt: Mint juhot vitték mészárszékre, és mint a bárány néma a nyírója előtt, úgy nem nyitotta meg a száját.
33 In his humiliation his justice was taken away. Who will declare his generation? For his life is taken from the earth."
A megaláztatásában az ítélet elvétetett róla, az ő nemzetségét pedig kicsoda sorolja fel? Mert elvétetik a földről az ő élete.
34 The eunuch answered Philipus, "Who is the prophet talking about? About himself, or about someone else?"
A komornyik pedig ezt mondta Fülöpnek: „Kérlek téged, kiről mondja ezt a próféta? Magáról-e, vagy más valakiről?“
35 Philipus opened his mouth, and beginning from this Scripture, preached to him Yeshua.
Fülöp pedig megnyitotta száját, és kiindulva ebből az Írásból, hirdette neki Jézust.
36 And as they went on the way, they came to some water, and the eunuch said, "Look, here is water. What is keeping me from being baptized?"
Amikor pedig az úton mentek, egy vízhez jutottak, és ezt mondta a komornyik: „Íme, itt a víz! Mi akadálya van, hogy megkeresztelkedjem?“
37 And he said to him, "If you believe with all your heart, you may." And he answered and said, "I believe that Yeshua Meshikha is the Son of God."
Fülöp pedig ezt mondta: „Ha teljes szívből hiszel, akkor lehet.“Ő pedig így felelt: „Hiszem, hogy Jézus Krisztus az Isten Fia.“
38 He commanded the chariot to stand still, and they both went down into the water, both Philipus and the eunuch, and he baptized him.
És megállította a szekeret, és leszálltak mindketten a vízbe, Fülöp és a komornyik, és megkeresztelte őt.
39 When they came up out of the water, the Rukha of the Lord caught Philipus away, and the eunuch did not see him any more, for he went on his way rejoicing.
Amikor pedig a vízből feljöttek, az Úrnak Lelke elragadta Fülöpöt, és többé nem látta őt a komornyik, de örömmel ment tovább az útján.
40 But Philipus was found at Azotus. Passing through, he preached the Good News to all the cities, until he came to Qesarya.
Fülöp pedig Azótoszba találta magát, és szertejárva hirdette az evangéliumot minden városnak, amíg Cézáreába nem jutott.
