Acts 7
1 The high priest said, "Are these things so?"
੧ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਜਾਜਕ ਨੇ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, ਕੀ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਹਨ?
2 He said, "Brothers and fathers, listen. The God of glory appeared to our father Avraham, when he was in Mesopotamia, before he lived in Haran,
੨ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਬੋਲਿਆ, ਹੇ ਭਰਾਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗੋ, ਸੁਣੋ। ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਰਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਮੈਸੋਪਟਾਮਿਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਜ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਣ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
3 and said to him, 'Go out from your land and from your relatives, and come into a land which I will show you.'
੩ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇਦਾਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਨਿੱਕਲ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਵਿਖਾਵਾਂਗਾ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਜਾ।
4 Then he came out of the land of the Kasdim, and lived in Haran. From there, after his father died, he moved him into this land, where you are now living.
੪ਤਦ ਉਹ ਕਸਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਤੋਂ ਨਿੱਕਲ ਕੇ ਹਾਰਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਵੱਸਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਮਰਨ ਪਿੱਛੋਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਲਿਆ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਸਾਇਆ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਹੁਣ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹੋ।
5 He gave him no inheritance in it, no, not so much as to set his foot on. He promised that he would give it to him for a possession, and to his descendants after him, when he still had no child.
੫ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸਗੋਂ ਪੈਰ ਰੱਖਣ ਦੀ ਥਾਂ ਵੀ ਨਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਵਾਇਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਿੱਛੋਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਅੰਸ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਅਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ।
6 But God spoke in this way, 'His descendants will live as strangers in a foreign land, and that they will be slaves and mistreated, for four hundred years.
੬ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਤੇਰਾ ਵੰਸ਼ ਪਰਾਏ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਦੇਸੀ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਰਹੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ਼ੁਲਾਮ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਰੱਖਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਚਾਰ ਸੌ ਸਾਲ ਤੱਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੇਣਗੇ।
7 But I will judge the nation to which they will be in bondage,' said God, 'and after that will they come out, and serve me in this place.'
੭ਫੇਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਕੌਮ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਉਹ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਹੋਣਗੇ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਹ ਛੁੱਟ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਇਸੇ ਥਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਨਗੇ।
8 He gave him the covenant of circumcision. So Avraham became the father of Iskhaq, and circumcised him the eighth day. Iskhaq became the father of Yaquv, and Yaquv became the father of the twelve patriarchs.
੮ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੁੰਨਤ ਦਾ ਨੇਮ ਬੰਨਿਆ, ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਜੰਮਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਅੱਠਵੇਂ ਦਿਨ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਸੁੰਨਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਜੰਮਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਗੋਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਜੰਮੇ।
9 "The patriarchs, moved with jealousy against Yauseph, sold him into Egypt; and God was with him,
੯ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਰਦਾਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਚ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਜਾਣ, ਫਿਰ ਵੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੀ।
10 and delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favor and wisdom before Pharaoh, king of Egypt. He made him governor over Egypt and all his house.
੧੦ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਛੁਡਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਅਤੇ ਬੁੱਧ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਤਾਂ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਘਰ ਦਾ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਬਣਾਇਆ।
11 Now a famine came over all Egypt and Canaan, and great affliction, and our fathers found no food.
੧੧ਫਿਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਿਸਰ ਅਤੇ ਕਨਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਲ ਪਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਡਾ ਕਸ਼ਟ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿਉ-ਦਾਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਨਾਜ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਿਆ।
12 But when Yaquv heard that there was grain in Egypt, he sent out our fathers the first time.
੧੨ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਕਿ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਨਾਜ਼ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿਉ-ਦਾਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਵਾਰ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੇਜਿਆ।
13 On the second time Yauseph was made known to his brothers, and Joseph's family became known to Pharaoh.
੧੩ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜੀ ਵਾਰ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਰਗਟ ਕੀਤਾ, ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਨੂੰ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗ ਗਿਆ।
14 Then Yauseph sent, and summoned Yaquv, his father, and all his relatives, seventy-five souls.
੧੪ਤਦ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਉ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਨੂੰ ਜੋ ਪੰਝੱਤਰ ਜਣੇ ਸਨ, ਬੁਲਾ ਲਿਆ।
15 Yaquv went down into Egypt, and he died, himself and our fathers,
੧੫ਯਾਕੂਬ ਮਿਸਰ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਆਪ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿਉ-ਦਾਦੇ ਵੀ।
16 and they were brought back to Shechem, and placed in the tomb that Avraham bought for a price in silver from the children of Hamor in Shechem.
੧੬ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਸ਼ਕਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਏ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਕਬਰਸਤਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੱਬੇ ਗਏ ਜੋ ਹਮੋਰ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੁੱਲ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ।
17 "But as the time of the promise came close which God had made to Avraham, the people grew and multiplied in Egypt,
੧੭ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਵਾਇਦੇ ਦੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਆਇਆ ਜੋ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਧਣ ਲੱਗੇ।
18 until 'there arose a different king over Egypt, who did not know Yauseph.'
੧੮ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਰਾਜਾ ਬਣਿਆ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਸੀ।
19 The same took advantage of our race, and mistreated our fathers, and forced them to throw out their babies, so that they would not stay alive.
੧੯ਉਹ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੀ ਕੌਮ ਨਾਲ ਚਲਾਕੀ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿਉ-ਦਾਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੰਗ ਕੀਤਾ, ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਾਲਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਹਰ ਸੁੱਟ ਦੇਣ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਜਿਉਂਦੇ ਨਾ ਰਹਿਣ।
20 At that time Mushe was born, and was exceedingly handsome. He was nourished three months in his father's house.
੨੦ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਮੂਸਾ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਨਜ਼ਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਤਿੰਨ ਮਹੀਨਿਆਂ ਤੱਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਉ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਲਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ।
21 When he was thrown out, Pharaoh's daughter took him up, and reared him as her own son.
੨੧ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਬਾਹਰ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਦੀ ਧੀ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਪਾਲਿਆ।
22 Mushe was instructed in all the wisdom of the Egyptians. He was mighty in his words and works.
੨੨ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਮਿਸਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਵਿੱਦਿਆ ਸਿੱਖੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬੋਲਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਮਰੱਥ ਸੀ।
23 But when he was forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brothers, the people of Israyel.
੨੩ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਚਾਲ੍ਹੀ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਹੋਣ ਲੱਗਾ, ਤਦ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਇਆ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਲਵਾਂ।
24 Seeing one of them suffer wrong, he defended him, and avenged him who was oppressed, striking the Egyptian.
੨੪ਤਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਨਾਲ ਬੁਰਾ ਵਿਹਾਰ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਵੇਖਿਆ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਸਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਬਦਲਾ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ।
25 He supposed that his brothers understood that God, by his hand, was giving them deliverance; but they did not understand.
੨੫ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸੋਚਿਆ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਰਾਂ ਸਮਝਣਗੇ ਜੋ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਹੱਥੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਛੁਟਕਾਰਾ ਦੇਣ ਲੱਗਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਨਾ ਸਮਝੇ।
26 "The day following, he appeared to them as they fought, and urged them to be at peace again, saying, 'Men, you are brothers. Why do you wrong one another?'
੨੬ਫਿਰ ਦੂਜੇ ਦਿਨ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਆਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੜਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਲ ਕਰਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹਿਆ ਕਿ ਹੇ ਪੁਰਖੋ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਭਰਾ ਭਰਾ ਹੋ। ਫਿਰ ਕਿਉਂ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਦੇ ਹੋ?
27 But he who did his neighbor wrong pushed him away, saying, 'Who made you a ruler and a judge over us?
੨੭ਪਰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਆਂਢੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਦਾ ਸੀ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਧੱਕਾ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕਿਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਆਈਂ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ?
28 Do you want to kill me, as you killed the Egyptian yesterday?'
੨੮ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਮਾਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਕੱਲ ਉਸ ਮਿਸਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ?
29 Mushe fled at this saying, and became a stranger in the land of Medyan, where he became the father of two sons.
੨੯ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਭੱਜ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਦਯਾਨ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਰਹਿਣ ਲੱਗਾ। ਉੱਥੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੋਏ।
30 "When forty years were fulfilled, an angel appeared to him in the wilderness of Mount Sinai, in a flame of fire in a bush.
੩੦ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਚਾਲ੍ਹੀ ਸਾਲ ਬੀਤ ਗਏ ਤਾਂ ਸੀਨਈ ਦੇ ਪਹਾੜ ਦੇ ਉਜਾੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਤ ਅੱਗ ਦੀ ਲਾਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਝਾੜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਖਾਈ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
31 When Mushe saw it, he wondered at the sight. As he came close to see, a voice of the Lord came,
੩੧ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦਰਸ਼ਣ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖ ਕੇ ਅਚਰਜ਼ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਦੇਖਣ ਲਈ ਨੇੜੇ ਗਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਆਈ।
32 'I am the God of your fathers, the God of Avraham, and of Iskhaq, and of Yaquv.' Mushe trembled, and dared not look.
੩੨ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਿਉ-ਦਾਦਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹਾਂ, ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ, ਇਸਹਾਕ ਅਤੇ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹਾਂ, ਤਦ ਮੂਸਾ ਕੰਬ ਉੱਠਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਖਣ ਦਾ ਹੌਂਸਲਾ ਨਾ ਕਰ ਸਕਿਆ।
33 The Lord said to him, 'Take your sandals off of your feet, for the place where you stand is holy ground.
੩੩ਤਦ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਕਿ ਆਪਣਿਆਂ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਜੁੱਤੀ ਲਾਹ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਇਹ ਥਾਂ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਤੂੰ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੈ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਭੂਮੀ ਹੈ।
34 I have surely seen the affliction of my people that is in Egypt, and have heard their groaning. I have come down to deliver them. Now come, I will send you to Egypt.'
੩੪ਮੈਂ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ, ਕਸ਼ਟ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੌਂਕੇ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਛੁਡਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਉੱਤਰਿਆ ਹਾਂ ਸੋ ਹੁਣ ਤੂੰ ਆ, ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੇਜਾਂਗਾ।
35 "This Mushe, whom they refused, saying, 'Who made you a ruler and a judge?'—God has sent him as both a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the angel who appeared to him in the bush.
੩੫ਉਸ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕਿਸ ਨੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਆਈਂ ਬਣਾਇਆ? ਉਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੂਤ ਦੇ ਹੱਥੀਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਝਾੜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਖਾਈ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ, ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਛੁਟਕਾਰਾ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਭੇਜਿਆ।
36 This man led them out, having worked wonders and signs in Egypt, in the Red Sea, and in the wilderness for forty years.
੩੬ਇਹੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮਿਸਰ, ਲਾਲ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ, ਉਜਾੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਾਲ੍ਹੀ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਅਚਰਜ਼ ਕੰਮ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਵਿਖਾ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੱਢ ਲੈ ਆਇਆ।
37 This is that Mushe, who said to the people of Israyel, 'God will raise up a prophet for you from among your brothers, like me.'
੩੭ਇਹ ਉਹ ਮੂਸਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਰਗਾ ਇੱਕ ਨਬੀ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ।
38 This is he who was in the assembly in the wilderness with the angel that spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and with our fathers, who received words of life to give to us,
੩੮ਇਹ ਉਹ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਉਜਾੜ ਦੀ ਸਭਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਦੂਤ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸੀਨਈ ਦੇ ਪਹਾੜ ਉੱਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਬੋਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿਉ-ਦਾਦਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੀ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਜਿਉਂਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਪਾਏ ਕਿ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਦੇਵੇ।
39 to whom our fathers would not be obedient, but rejected him, and turned back in their hearts to Egypt,
੩੯ਪਰ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿਉ-ਦਾਦਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਹੋਣਾ ਨਾ ਚਾਹਿਆ ਸਗੋਂ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਧੱਕਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਦਿਲ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੀ ਵੱਲ ਫਿਰਿਆ।
40 saying to Ahrun, 'Make us gods that will go before us, for as for this Mushe, who led us out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.'
੪੦ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਕਿ ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਦੇਵਤਾ ਬਣਾ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸਾਡੇ ਅੱਗੇ-ਅੱਗੇ ਚੱਲੇ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਮੂਸਾ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੱਢ ਲਿਆਇਆ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਹੋਇਆ।
41 They made a calf in those days, and brought a sacrifice to the idol, and rejoiced in the works of their hands.
੪੧ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਛਾ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਮੂਰਤੀ ਅੱਗੇ ਬਲੀ ਚੜਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਉੱਤੇ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਮਨਾਈ।
42 But God turned, and gave them over to worship the host of heaven, as it is written in the book of the prophets, 'Did you offer to me sacrifices and offerings forty years in the wilderness, O house of Israyel?
੪੨ਪਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੋੜ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੀ ਸੈਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਜਣ ਲਈ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਪੋਥੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, “ਹੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ, ਕੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਜਾੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਾਲ੍ਹੀ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਭੇਟ ਅਤੇ ਬਲੀਦਾਨ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਚੜਾਏ?”
43 You took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Rephan, the images that you made to worship them. Therefore I will exile you beyond Babylon.'
੪੩ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੋਲੋਕ ਦੇ ਤੰਬੂ, ਅਤੇ ਰਿਫ਼ਾਨ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਦੇ ਤਾਰੇ ਨੂੰ, ਅਰਥਾਤ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੂਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਹੋ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੂਜਣ ਲਈ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ, ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਕੱਢ ਕੇ ਬਾਬੁਲ ਤੋਂ ਪਰੇ ਲੈ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਵਸਾਵਾਂਗਾ।
44 "Our fathers had the tabernacle of the testimony in the wilderness, even as he who spoke to Mushe commanded him to make it according to the pattern that he had seen;
੪੪ਗਵਾਹੀ ਦਾ ਡੇਰਾ ਉਜਾੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿਉ-ਦਾਦਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਸੀ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਗਿਆ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ, ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਤੰਬੂ ਦੇ ਨਮੂਨੇ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਣਾ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ।
45 which also our fathers, in their turn, brought in with Joshua when they entered into the possession of the nations, whom God drove out before the face of our fathers, to the days of Dawid,
੪੫ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿਉ-ਦਾਦਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਤੇ ਲਿਆਏ, ਜਿਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿਉ-ਦਾਦਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗਿਓਂ ਕੱਢ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਡੇਰਾ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਰਿਹਾ।
46 who found favor in the sight of God, and asked to find a habitation for the God of Yaquv.
੪੬ਦਾਊਦ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਹੋਈ ਤਾਂ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਚਾਹਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਡੇਰਾ ਬਣਾਵੇ।
47 But Shelemun built him a house.
੪੭ਪਰ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਭਵਨ ਬਣਾਇਆ।
48 However, the Most High does not dwell in temples made with hands, as the prophet says,
੪੮ਪਰ ਅੱਤ ਮਹਾਨ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਣਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਮੰਦਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ, ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਬੀ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ,
49 'Heaven is my throne, and the earth a footstool for my feet. What kind of house will you build me?' says the Lord; 'or what is the place of my rest?
੪੯ਸਵਰਗ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਿੰਘਾਸਣ, ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੈਰ ਰੱਖਣ ਦੀ ਚੌਂਕੀ ਹੈ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਕਿਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਭਵਨ ਬਣਾਓਗੇ? ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਅਰਾਮਗਾਹ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ?
50 Did not my hand make all these things?'
੫੦ਕੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਹੀ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਵਸਤਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ?
51 "You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, you always resist the Rukha d'Qudsha. As your fathers did, so you do.
੫੧ਹੇ ਹਠੀਲੇ ਲੋਕੋ, ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਮਨ ਅਤੇ ਕੰਨ ਬੇਸੁੰਨਤ ਹਨ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਦਾ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਕਰਦੇ ਆਏ ਹੋ! ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਿਉ-ਦਾਦਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਕੀਤਾ।
52 Which of the prophets did not your fathers persecute? They killed those who foretold the coming of the Righteous One, of whom you have now become betrayers and murderers.
੫੨ਨਬੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਿਸਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਿਉ-ਦਾਦਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਤਾਇਆ? ਸਗੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਧਰਮੀ ਦੇ ਆਉਣ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਢ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਹੁਣ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਫੜਵਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਖੂਨੀ ਹੋਏ।
53 You received the Law as it was ordained by angels, and did not keep it."
੫੩ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਦੂਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਠਹਿਰਾਈ ਗਈ ਸੀ ਪਾਇਆ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਨਾ ਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
54 Now when they heard these things, they were furious, and they ground their teeth at him.
੫੪ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸੁਣਦੇ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਦੰਦ ਪੀਹਣ ਲੱਗੇ।
55 But he, being full of the Rukha d'Qudsha, looked up steadfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Yeshua standing on the right hand of God.
੫੫ਪਰ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੀ ਵੱਲ ਦੇਖਿਆ, ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਤੇਜ ਅਤੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸੱਜੇ ਹੱਥ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਵੇਖਿਆ।
56 And he said, "Look, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God."
੫੬ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ਵੇਖੋ ਮੈਂ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸੱਜੇ ਹੱਥ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ!
57 But they shouted out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and rushed at him with one accord.
੫੭ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉੱਚੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਨਾਲ ਡੰਡ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਨ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਲਏ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਮਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਟੁੱਟ ਪਏ।
58 They threw him out of the city, and stoned him. The witnesses placed their garments at the feet of a young man named Shaul.
੫੮ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਥਰਾਹ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਗਵਾਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਸੌਲੁਸ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਜਵਾਨ ਦੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਲਾਹ ਕੇ ਰੱਖ ਦਿੱਤੇ।
59 They stoned Astapanos as he called out, saying, "Lord Yeshua, receive my spirit."
੫੯ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸਤੀਫ਼ਾਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਥਰਾਹ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਇਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਿਸੂ, ਮੇਰੇ ਆਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੋਲ ਲੈ ਲੈ!
60 He kneeled down, and shouted out, "Lord, do not hold this sin against them." When he had said this, he fell asleep.
੬੦ਫਿਰ ਉਹ ਗੋਡਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਆ ਕੇ ਉੱਚੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਨਾਲ ਬੋਲਿਆ ਕਿ, ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਇਹ ਪਾਪ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਨਾ ਆਵੇ, ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਸੌਂ ਗਿਆ ।
