Acts 7
1 The high priest said, "Are these things so?"
大司祭遂問說：「真是這樣嗎﹖」
2 He said, "Brothers and fathers, listen. The God of glory appeared to our father Avraham, when he was in Mesopotamia, before he lived in Haran,
斯德望答說：「諸位仁人弟兄，諸位父老，請聽！當我們的祖先亞巴郎還在美索不達米亞，還未住在哈蘭以前，榮耀的天主曾顯現給他，
3 and said to him, 'Go out from your land and from your relatives, and come into a land which I will show you.'
向他說：『你要離開你的故鄉和你的家族，往我所指示你的地方去！』
4 Then he came out of the land of the Kasdim, and lived in Haran. From there, after his father died, he moved him into this land, where you are now living.
那時，他遂離開了加色丁人的地方，住在哈蘭；他父親死後，天主又叫他從那裏遷移，來到你們現今所住的地方。
5 He gave him no inheritance in it, no, not so much as to set his foot on. He promised that he would give it to him for a possession, and to his descendants after him, when he still had no child.
在此地天主並沒有賜給他產業，連腳掌那麼大的地方也沒有給，卻應許了把此地賜給他和他以後的子孫做產業，雖然當時他還沒有兒子。
6 But God spoke in this way, 'His descendants will live as strangers in a foreign land, and that they will be slaves and mistreated, for four hundred years.
天主還這樣說過：『他的子孫要僑居異地，人要奴役虐待他們，共四百年之久。』
7 But I will judge the nation to which they will be in bondage,' said God, 'and after that will they come out, and serve me in this place.'
天主還說：『我要懲治那奴役他們的異民。此後，他們要出來，要在這地方恭敬我。』
8 He gave him the covenant of circumcision. So Avraham became the father of Iskhaq, and circumcised him the eighth day. Iskhaq became the father of Yaquv, and Yaquv became the father of the twelve patriarchs.
天主又賜給了他割損的盟約；這樣，他生了依撒格後，第八天，給他行了割損禮。以後，依撒格生了雅各伯，雅各伯生了十二位宗祖。
9 "The patriarchs, moved with jealousy against Yauseph, sold him into Egypt; and God was with him,
宗祖們嫉妒若瑟，把他賣到埃及，天主卻同他在一起，
10 and delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favor and wisdom before Pharaoh, king of Egypt. He made him governor over Egypt and all his house.
救他脫離了一切磨難，並在埃及王法郎面前使他得寵，有智慧，法郎就派他總理埃及和王家事務。
11 Now a famine came over all Egypt and Canaan, and great affliction, and our fathers found no food.
後來在全埃及和客納罕發生了饑饉和大難，我們的祖先找不到食物。
12 But when Yaquv heard that there was grain in Egypt, he sent out our fathers the first time.
雅各伯聽說在埃及有糧食，就打發了我們的祖先去，這是第一次。
13 On the second time Yauseph was made known to his brothers, and Joseph's family became known to Pharaoh.
第二次，若瑟被他的兄弟們認出來了。法郎也明悉了若瑟的親族。
14 Then Yauseph sent, and summoned Yaquv, his father, and all his relatives, seventy-five souls.
若瑟遂打發人請自己的父親和所有同族前來，共計七十五人。
15 Yaquv went down into Egypt, and he died, himself and our fathers,
雅各伯下到了埃及，以後他和我們的祖先都死了；
16 and they were brought back to Shechem, and placed in the tomb that Avraham bought for a price in silver from the children of Hamor in Shechem.
後來他們被運到舍根，埋葬在亞巴郎用銀價從哈摩爾的兒子在舍根所買的墳墓中。
17 "But as the time of the promise came close which God had made to Avraham, the people grew and multiplied in Egypt,
天主向亞巴郎所應承的恩許的時期來近了，這民族在埃及就逐漸繁殖增多起來，
18 until 'there arose a different king over Egypt, who did not know Yauseph.'
直到另一位不認識若瑟的君王起來統治埃及，
19 The same took advantage of our race, and mistreated our fathers, and forced them to throw out their babies, so that they would not stay alive.
他就用計謀壓迫我們的親族，虐待我們的祖先，叫他們拋棄自己的嬰孩，不容生存。
20 At that time Mushe was born, and was exceedingly handsome. He was nourished three months in his father's house.
就在那時期梅瑟誕生了，他為天主所喜愛；在父親家中養育了三個月。
21 When he was thrown out, Pharaoh's daughter took him up, and reared him as her own son.
他被拋棄後，法郎的女兒卻將他拾去，當自己的兒子養育。
22 Mushe was instructed in all the wisdom of the Egyptians. He was mighty in his words and works.
梅瑟學習了埃及人的各種智慧；他講話辨事，都有才幹。
23 But when he was forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brothers, the people of Israyel.
當他滿了四十歲的時候，他心中起了看望自己的弟兄──以色列子民的願望。
24 Seeing one of them suffer wrong, he defended him, and avenged him who was oppressed, striking the Egyptian.
他看見一個人受欺壓，就加以衛護，為受欺負的人報仇，打死了那個埃及人。
25 He supposed that his brothers understood that God, by his hand, was giving them deliverance; but they did not understand.
他以為自己的弟兄明白天主要藉他的手拯救他們， 但他們卻不明白。
26 "The day following, he appeared to them as they fought, and urged them to be at peace again, saying, 'Men, you are brothers. Why do you wrong one another?'
第二天，他看見他們打架，就勸他們和解說：同仁！你們原是弟兄，為什麼彼此傷害呢﹖
27 But he who did his neighbor wrong pushed him away, saying, 'Who made you a ruler and a judge over us?
那欺壓近人的推開他說：誰立了你做我們的首領和判官﹖
28 Do you want to kill me, as you killed the Egyptian yesterday?'
難道你願意殺死我，就像昨天你殺死了那埃及人一樣嗎﹖
29 Mushe fled at this saying, and became a stranger in the land of Medyan, where he became the father of two sons.
梅瑟因這句話，便逃跑了，在米德楊地方作客，在那裏生了兩個兒子。
30 "When forty years were fulfilled, an angel appeared to him in the wilderness of Mount Sinai, in a flame of fire in a bush.
過了四十年，在西乃山的曠野裏，有一位使者在荊棘叢火燄中顯現給他。
31 When Mushe saw it, he wondered at the sight. As he came close to see, a voice of the Lord came,
梅瑟一見，就奇怪這異像；他正要前去觀察，有上主的聲音說：『
32 'I am the God of your fathers, the God of Avraham, and of Iskhaq, and of Yaquv.' Mushe trembled, and dared not look.
我是你祖先的天主，即亞巴郎、依撒格和雅各伯的天主。』梅瑟就戰慄起來，不敢前去觀察。
33 The Lord said to him, 'Take your sandals off of your feet, for the place where you stand is holy ground.
上主向他說：『將你腳上的鞋脫下！因為你站的地方是聖地。
34 I have surely seen the affliction of my people that is in Egypt, and have heard their groaning. I have come down to deliver them. Now come, I will send you to Egypt.'
我看見了我百姓在埃及的苦楚，也聽見了他們的哀歎，遂下來拯救他們。現在你來，我要打發你到埃及去。』
35 "This Mushe, whom they refused, saying, 'Who made you a ruler and a judge?'—God has sent him as both a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the angel who appeared to him in the bush.
這梅瑟就是他們曾否定說：『誰立了你做我們的首領和判官』的，天主卻藉著在荊棘中顯現的使者的手，打發他做首領和救贖者。
36 This man led them out, having worked wonders and signs in Egypt, in the Red Sea, and in the wilderness for forty years.
就是他領了他們出來，在埃及，在紅海，在曠野四十年之久，行了奇蹟異事。
37 This is that Mushe, who said to the people of Israyel, 'God will raise up a prophet for you from among your brothers, like me.'
這人就是那給以色列子民說：『天主要從你們弟兄們中間，給你們興起一位像我似的先知』的梅瑟。
38 This is he who was in the assembly in the wilderness with the angel that spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and with our fathers, who received words of life to give to us,
就是他在曠野時，在會眾中，立在西乃山給他說話的使者和我們的祖先之間，領受生命的話，傳授給我們。
39 to whom our fathers would not be obedient, but rejected him, and turned back in their hearts to Egypt,
我們的祖先卻不肯聽從他，反而拒絕他；他們的心已轉向埃及，
40 saying to Ahrun, 'Make us gods that will go before us, for as for this Mushe, who led us out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.'
遂向亞郎說：『請給我們製造神像，在我們面前引路，因為領我們出埃及地的這位梅瑟，我們不知道他遭遇了什麼事。』
41 They made a calf in those days, and brought a sacrifice to the idol, and rejoiced in the works of their hands.
他們就在那幾天製造了一個牛犢，向那偶像奉獻祭品，並因他們手中的作品而歡樂。
42 But God turned, and gave them over to worship the host of heaven, as it is written in the book of the prophets, 'Did you offer to me sacrifices and offerings forty years in the wilderness, O house of Israyel?
於是天主轉過身去，任憑他們恭敬天上的軍旅，就如在先知書上所載的：『以色列家！你們四十年在曠野中，何嘗向我奉獻過犧牲和祭品﹖
43 You took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Rephan, the images that you made to worship them. Therefore I will exile you beyond Babylon.'
你們抬著摩肋客的帳幕和楞番神的星辰，為朝拜你們所製造的偶像。為此，我要把你們遷徙到巴比倫那邊去。』
44 "Our fathers had the tabernacle of the testimony in the wilderness, even as he who spoke to Mushe commanded him to make it according to the pattern that he had seen;
我們的祖先在曠野中有一個作證的帳幕，這帳幕就是天主吩咐梅瑟，按他所指示的式樣製造的。
45 which also our fathers, in their turn, brought in with Joshua when they entered into the possession of the nations, whom God drove out before the face of our fathers, to the days of Dawid,
我們的祖先相繼承受了它；當天主把異民從我們祖先的面前趕走之後，他們便同若蘇厄將此帳幕運到繼承為業之地，直到達味的時日。
46 who found favor in the sight of God, and asked to find a habitation for the God of Yaquv.
達味在天主面前獲得了寵愛，就懇求要為雅各伯的天主尋找一個住所；
47 But Shelemun built him a house.
撒羅滿便為天主建築了殿宇。
48 However, the Most High does not dwell in temples made with hands, as the prophet says,
但至高者本不住在人手所建造的殿宇中：正如先知說：
49 'Heaven is my throne, and the earth a footstool for my feet. What kind of house will you build me?' says the Lord; 'or what is the place of my rest?
『天是我的寶座，地是我的腳凳。你們要為我建築什麼樣的殿宇﹖──上主說──或者我安息的地方是怎樣的呢﹖
50 Did not my hand make all these things?'
這一切不是我的手所造的嗎﹖』
51 "You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, you always resist the Rukha d'Qudsha. As your fathers did, so you do.
執坳和心耳未受割損的人啊！你們時常反抗聖神，你們的祖先怎樣，你們也怎樣。
52 Which of the prophets did not your fathers persecute? They killed those who foretold the coming of the Righteous One, of whom you have now become betrayers and murderers.
那一位先知，你們的祖先沒有迫害過﹖他們殺害了那些預言義人來臨的人，現在你們都成了那義人的出賣者和兇手。
53 You received the Law as it was ordained by angels, and did not keep it."
你們這些人接受了藉天使所傳佈的法律，卻不遵守。」
54 Now when they heard these things, they were furious, and they ground their teeth at him.
他們一聽這些話，怒從心起，向他咬牙切齒。
55 But he, being full of the Rukha d'Qudsha, looked up steadfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Yeshua standing on the right hand of God.
斯德望卻充滿了聖神，注目向天，看見天主的光榮，並看見耶穌站在天主右邊，
56 And he said, "Look, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God."
遂說道：「看，我見天開了，並見人子站在天主右邊。」
57 But they shouted out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and rushed at him with one accord.
他們都大聲亂嚷，掩著自己的耳朵一致向他撲去，
58 They threw him out of the city, and stoned him. The witnesses placed their garments at the feet of a young man named Shaul.
把他拉出城外，用石頭砸死了。證人脫下自己的衣服放在名叫掃祿的青年人腳前。
59 They stoned Astapanos as he called out, saying, "Lord Yeshua, receive my spirit."
當他們用石頭砸斯德望的時候，他祈求說：「主耶穌！接我的靈魂去罷！」
60 He kneeled down, and shouted out, "Lord, do not hold this sin against them." When he had said this, he fell asleep.
遂屈膝跪下，大聲呼喊說：「主，不要向他們算這罪債！」說了這話，就死了。
