< Acts 5 >
1 But a certain man named Khananya, with Sapphira, his wife, sold a possession,
Ndhiri bayo ndi Ananias mba wama safira ba ban bubumba ri le.
2 and kept back part of the price, his wife also being aware of it, and brought a certain part, and put it at the apostles' feet.

3 But Kipha said, "Khananya, why has Satana filled your heart to lie to the Rukha d'Qudsha, and to keep back part of the price of the land?
Bitrus a tre ndi, “Ananias wu ti he ni du brij shusron me nda du, u tiche ni Ruhi Tsatsra ni kma mbru nkle bubua'a zi ni tume?
4 While you kept it, did not it remain your own? After it was sold, was not it in your power? How is it that you have conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to people, but to God."
Niwa wuna rhihe u banle'a ana wumena, u niwa wu banle ana rhihe ni wome na? A nha yo kpeyi ni suron me? wuna tiche ni ndhi na, ama ni irjhi”.
5 Khananya, hearing these words, fell down and died. Great fear came on all who heard it.

6 The young men arose and wrapped him up, and they carried him out and buried him.

7 About three hours later, his wife, not knowing what had happened, came in.

Bitrus a tre niwu ndi, “Hla nitawu bi le ni bubumbi mba nitu kpe to yi?” A tre ndi “Ehh, nitu toki.”
9 But Kipha asked her, "How is it that you have agreed together to tempt the Rukha of the Lord? Look, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out."
Mle Bitrus alha niwu ndi, “Ahi ngyeti du yi zontu ni kpambi ndi tsra Ruhu Baci?, ya, za ndhi wa baka rhu lon me ba he ni kontra, ba banwu hi rhu.”
10 She fell down immediately at his feet, and died. The young men came in and found her dead, and they carried her out and buried her by her husband.

12 By the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people. They were all with one accord in Shelemun's porch.

13 None of the rest dared to join them, however the people honored them.

14 More believers were added to the Lord, crowds of both men and women.
Nikima, ndhi ba ta ye nda ni kpa Bau; ndi lilon baba mba gbugbuwu.
15 They even carried out the sick into the streets, and put them on cots and mats, so that as Kipha came by at the least his shadow would fall on some of them.

16 Crowds also came together from the cities around Urishlim, bringing sick people, and those who were tormented by unclean spirits: and they were all healed.

17 But the high priest rose up, and all those who were with him (which is the sect of the Sadducees), and they were filled with jealousy,

20 "Go stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life."
“Hi, kri nimi Haikali ni tre ndi ndhiba wawu nitu lantre wu nu vriji”.
21 When they heard this, they entered into the temple about daybreak, and taught. But the high priest came, and those who were with him, and called the council together, and all the elders of the people of Israyel, and sent to the prison to have them brought.
Niwa ba wo tre yi a, ba ri hi ni haikalia tsra ni bwunble nda tsroba. I a ninkon firt a ye baba biwa baheni wu'a nda yo son shubi bi ninkon gbu baba datibai ndhi bi Israila wawumba, nda tonba hi ni ko tre duba hi nii manzani ba ye.
22 But the officers who came did not find them in the prison. They returned and reported,

24 Now when the captain of the temple, and the chief priests heard these words, they were very perplexed about them and what might become of this.
Ni wo tre yi, captin wu haikalia mba ninko first wawu, ba ku sisiri nitu mba, don kpe wa ni wu gon ma.
25 One came and told them, "Look, the men whom you put in prison are in the temple, standing and teaching the people."
Mle ndhiri a ye nda ye lha bawu ndi, “Ndhi wa bi vu sru ni ko tro ba kri si tero ndhi ni mi haikali.”
26 Then the captain went with the officers, and brought them without violence, for they were afraid that the people might stone them.

27 When they had brought them, they set them before the council. The high priest questioned them,
Niwa ba njiba ye'a ba zi ba shishi bi ninkon'a,
28 saying, "Did we not strictly command you not to teach in this name? And look, you have filled Urishlim with your teaching, and intend to bring this man's blood on us."
Nikon first a tsra ba ni mye ndi, “we mha yi ndife yi ton du yi na tsro ni nde yi na, ama bi ka gbu urishilima ni tsro mbi ndi nison nji yi guyi ye sa nitumbu.”
29 But Kipha and the apostles answered, "We must obey God rather than people.

34 But one stood up in the council, a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the Law, honored by all the people, and commanded to put the men out for a little while.
