1 Timothy 2
1 I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings, be made for all people:
೧ಎಲ್ಲಾದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮೊದಲು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ವಿಜ್ಞಾಪನೆಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಮನವಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಕೃತಜ್ಞತಾಸ್ತುತಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ.
2 for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence.
೨ನಮಗೆ ಸುಖಸಮಾಧಾನಗಳು ಉಂಟಾಗಿ ನಾವು ಪೂರ್ಣಭಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದಲೂ, ಗೌರವದಿಂದಲೂ ಜೀವಿಸುವಂತೆ, ಅರಸುಗಳಿಗಾಗಿಯೂ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗಾಗಿಯೂ ವಿಜ್ಞಾಪನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕು.
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior;
೩ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡುವುದು ನಮ್ಮ ರಕ್ಷಕನಾದ ದೇವರ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದು, ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಕೆಯಾಗಿಯೂ ಇದೆ.
4 who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth.
೪ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರೂ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿ ಸತ್ಯದ ಜ್ಞಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಬೇಕೆಂಬುದೇ ಆತನ ಚಿತ್ತವಾಗಿದೆ.
5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and humanity, a human, Meshikha Yeshua,
೫ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ದೇವರು ಒಬ್ಬನೇ, ದೇವರಿಗೂ ಮನುಷ್ಯರಿಗೂ ಮಧ್ಯಸ್ಥನು ಒಬ್ಬನೇ, ಆತನು ಮನುಷ್ಯನಾಗಿರುವ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವೇ.
6 who gave himself as a ransom for all; the testimony in its own times;
೬ಆತನು ಎಲ್ಲರ ವಿಮೋಚನಾರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟನು. ಇದೇ ತಕ್ಕ ಸಮಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳಬೇಕಾದ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಗಿದೆ.
7 to which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle (I am telling the truth, I am not lying), a teacher of the non-Jews in faith and truth.
೭ಆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೇ ನಾನು ಸಂದೇಶಕನಾಗಿಯೂ, ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲನಾಗಿಯೂ, ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದಲೂ ಸತ್ಯದಿಂದಲೂ ಅನ್ಯಜನರಿಗೆ ಬೋಧಿಸುವವನಾಗಿಯೂ ನೇಮಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನಾನು ಸುಳ್ಳಾಡದೇ ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನೇ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ.
8 I desire therefore that the men in every place pray, lifting up holy hands without anger and doubting.
೮ಹೀಗಿರಲಾಗಿ ಪುರುಷರು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೋಪವೂ ವಾಗ್ವಾದವೂ ಇಲ್ಲದವರಾಗಿ, ಭಕ್ತಿಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಕೈಗಳನ್ನೆತ್ತಿ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.
9 In the same way, that women also adorn themselves in decent clothing, with modesty and propriety; not just with braided hair, gold, pearls, or expensive clothing;
೯ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರು ಮಾನಸ್ಥೆಯರಾಗಿಯೂ, ಸಭ್ಯತೆಯುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿಯೂ ಇದ್ದು, ಗೌರವಕ್ಕೆ ತಕ್ಕ ಉಡುಪನ್ನೂ ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಅವರು ಜಡೆಯನ್ನು ಹೆಣೆಯುವುದು, ಚಿನ್ನ, ಮುತ್ತು, ಬೆಲೆಯುಳ್ಳ ವಸ್ತ್ರ
10 but (which becomes women professing godliness) with good works.
೧೦ಮುಂತಾದವುಗಳಿಂದ ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಅಲಂಕರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ದೇವಭಕ್ತೆಯರೆನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರಿಗೆ ಯುಕ್ತವಾಗಿರುವ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಸತ್ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳಿಂದಲೇ ಅಲಂಕರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು.
11 Let a woman learn in quietness with all subjection.
೧೧ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರು ಮೌನವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಪೂರ್ಣ ಅಧೀನತೆಯಿಂದ ಉಪದೇಶವನ್ನು ಕಲಿಯಬೇಕು.
12 But I do not permit a woman to teach, nor to exercise authority over a man, but to be in quietness.
೧೨ಉಪದೇಶಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಲಿ ಪುರುಷರ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರ ನಡಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಲಿ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರಿಗೆ ನಾನು ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಕೊಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರು ಮೌನವಾಗಿರಬೇಕು.
13 For Adom was first formed, then Khawa.
೧೩ಮೊದಲು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಲ್ಪಟವನು ಆದಾಮನಲ್ಲವೇ, ಆಮೇಲೆ ಹವ್ವಳು.
14 Adom was not deceived, but the woman, being deceived, has fallen into disobedience;
೧೪ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಆದಾಮನು ವಂಚಿಸಲ್ಪಡಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ವಂಚಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಅಪರಾಧಿಯಾದಳು.
15 but she will be delivered through the childbirth, if they continue in faith and love and holiness, with good judgment.
೧೫ಆದರೂ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಬುದ್ಧಿಯಿಂದ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧತೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದರೆ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಹೆರುವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಹೊಂದುವರು.
