1 Samuel 25
1 Samuel died; and all Israel gathered themselves together, and lamented him, and buried him in his house at Ramah. David arose, and went down to the wilderness of Maon.
১পরে শমূয়েলের মৃত্যু হল এবং সমস্ত ইস্রায়েল জড়ো হয়ে তাঁর জন্য শোক করল, আর রামায় তাঁর বাড়িতে তাঁর কবর দিল৷ পরে দায়ূদ উঠে পারণ মরুভূমিতে চলে গেলেন৷
2 There was a man in Maon, whose possessions were in Carmel; and the man was very great, and he had three thousand sheep, and a thousand goats: and he was shearing his sheep in Carmel.
২সেই দিনের মায়োনে এক লোক ছিল, কর্মিলে তার বিষয় সম্পত্তি ছিল; সে খুব বড় মানুষ; তার তিন হাজার ভেড়া ও এক হাজার ছাগী ছিল৷ সেই লোক কর্মিলে নিজের ভেড়াদের লোম কাটছিল৷
3 Now the name of the man was Nabal; and the name of his wife Abigail. And the woman was intelligent and beautiful, but the man was harsh and evil in his dealings; and the man was a Calebite.
৩সেই লোকটী নাম নাবল ও তার স্ত্রীর নাম অবীগল; ঐ স্ত্রী বুদ্ধিমতি ও সুন্দরী, কিন্তু ঐ লোকটি কঠিন ও দুষ্ট ছিল; সে কালেব বংশের সন্তান৷
4 David heard in the wilderness that Nabal was shearing his sheep.
৪আর নাবল নিজের ভেড়াদের লোম কাটছে, দায়ূদ মরুপ্রান্তে এই কথা শুনলেন৷
5 So David sent ten young men, and said to the young men, "Go up to Carmel, and go to Nabal, and greet him in my name.
৫পরে দায়ূদ দশ জন যুবককে পাঠালেন; দায়ূদ সেই যুবকদেরকে বললেন, “তোমরা কর্মিলে উঠে নাবলের কাছে যাও এবং আমার নামে তাকে অভিবাদন কর;
6 Thus you are to say to my brother, 'Peace be to you, and peace be to your house, and peace be to all that you have.
৬আর তাকে এই কথা বল, ‘চিরজীবী হন; আপনার ভালো, আপনার বাড়ির ভালো ও আপনার সব কিছুর ভালো হোক৷
7 And now, look, I have heard that you have shearers. Now your shepherds have been with us in the wilderness, and we did not hurt them, neither was there anything missing from them, all the while they were in Carmel.
৭আমি শুনতে পেলাম যে, আপনার কাছে লোমছেদনকারীরা আছে; ইতিমধ্যে আপনার মেষপালকরা আমাদের সঙ্গে ছিল, আমরা তাদের অপকার করি নি এবং যতদিন তারা কর্মিলে ছিল, ততদিন তাদের কিছুই হারায়ও নি৷
8 Ask your young men, and they will tell you. Therefore let the young men find favor in your eyes; for we come in a good day. Please give whatever comes to your hand, to your servants, and to your son David.'"
৮আপনার যুবকদেরকে জিজ্ঞাসা করুন, তারা আপনাকে বলবে; অতএব এই যুবকদের প্রতি আপনি করুণার চোখে দেখুন, কারণ আমরা শুভ দিনের আসলাম৷ অনুরোধ করি, নিজের দাসদেরকে ও নিজের ছেলে দায়ূদকে, যা আপনার হাতে ওঠে, দান করুন৷’”
9 So the young men came and spoke to Nabal according to all those words on David's behalf, but he behaved arrogantly.
৯তখন দায়ূদের যুবকরা গিয়ে দায়ূদের নাম করে নাবলকে সেই সব কথা বলল, পরে তারা চুপ করে থাকল৷
10 Nabal answered David's servants, and said, "Who is David? Who is the son of Jesse? There are many servants who break away from their masters these days.
১০নাবল উত্তর দিয়ে দায়ূদের দাসদেরকে বলল, “দায়ূদ কে? যিশয়ের ছেলে কে? এই দিনের অনেক দাস নিজের প্রভুর থেকে আলাদা হয়ে ঘুরছে৷
11 Shall I then take my bread, and my wine, and my meat that I have slaughtered for the shearers of my sheep, and give it to men who I do not know where they come from?"
১১আমি কি নিজের রুটি, জল ও নিজের ভেড়ার লোম ছেদনকারীদের জন্য যে সব পশু মেরেছি, তাদের মাংস নিয়ে অজানা কোথাকার লোকদেরকে দেব?”
12 So David's young men turned on their way, and went back, and came and told him according to all these words.
১২তখন দায়ূদের যুবকরা মুখ ফিরিয়ে নিজেদের পথে চলে আসল এবং তাঁর কাছে ফিরে এসে ঐ সমস্ত কথা তাঁকে বলল৷
13 David said to his men, "Every man put on his sword." So every man put on his sword. David also put on his sword. About four hundred men followed David; and two hundred stayed by the baggage.
১৩তখন দায়ূদ নিজের লোকদেরকে বললেন, “তোমরা প্রত্যেক জন তলোয়ার বাঁধ৷” প্রত্যেকে নিজেদের তলোয়ার বাঁধলো এবং দায়ূদও নিজের তলোয়ার বাঁধলেন৷ পরে দায়ূদের সঙ্গে প্রায় চারশো লোক গেল এবং জিনিসপত্র রক্ষার জন্য দুশো লোক থাকলো৷
14 But one of the young men told Abigail, Nabal's wife, saying, "Look, David sent messengers out of the wilderness to greet our master; and he railed at them.
১৪এর মধ্যে যুবকদের একজন নাবলের স্ত্রী অবীগলকে খবর দিয়ে বলল, “দেখুন, দায়ূদ আমাদের কর্তাকে অভিবাদন করতে মরুভূমি থেকে দূতদেরকে পাঠিয়েছিলেন, আর তিনি তাদেরকে অপমান করলেন৷
15 But the men were very good to us, and we were not hurt, nor did we miss anything as long as we went with them, when we were in the fields.
১৫কিন্তু সেই লোকেরা আমাদের জন্য খুব ভালই ছিল; যখন আমরা মাঠে ছিলাম, তখন যতক্ষণ তাদের সঙ্গে ছিলাম, ততক্ষণ আমাদের ক্ষতি হয়নি, কিছুই হারায়ও নি৷
16 They were a wall to us both by night and by day, all the while we were with them keeping the sheep.
১৬আমরা যতদিন তাদের কাছে থেকে ভেড়া রক্ষা করছিলাম, তারা দিন রাত আমাদের চারদিকে প্রাচীরের মত ছিল৷
17 Now therefore know and consider what you will do; for evil is determined against our master, and against all his house; for he is such a worthless fellow that one can't speak to him."
১৭অতএব এখন আপনার কি করা উচিত, সেটা বিচার করে বুঝুন, কারণ আমাদের কর্তার ও তাঁর সমস্ত বংশের ক্ষতি নিশ্চিত; কিন্তু তিনি এমন অধার্মিক যে, তাঁকে কোন কথা বলতে পারা যায় না৷”
18 Then Abigail hurried and took two hundred loaves of bread, two bottles of wine, five sheep ready dressed, five measures of parched grain, one hundred clusters of raisins, and two hundred cakes of figs, and laid them on donkeys.
১৮তখন অবীগল তাড়াতাড়ি দুশো রুটি, দু কুপা আঙুরের রস, পাঁচটা তৈরী ভেড়া, পাঁচ কাঠা ভাজা দানাশস্য, একশো গোছা শুকনো আঙুরফল ও দুশো ডুমুর-চাক নিয়ে গাধার উপরে চাপাল৷
19 She said to her young men, "Go on before me. Look, I come after you." But she did not tell her husband.
১৯আর সে নিজের চাকরদেরকে বলল, “তোমরা আমার আগে চল, দেখ, আমি তোমাদের পিছনে যাচ্ছি৷” কিন্তু সে তার স্বামী নাবলকে তা জানাল না৷
20 It was so, as she rode on her donkey, and came down by the covert of the mountain, that look, David and his men came down toward her; and she met them.
২০পরে সে গাধাতে চড়ে পর্বতের ভিতরদিক দিয়ে নেমে যাচ্ছিল, এর মধ্যে দেখ, দায়ূদ নিজের লোকদের সঙ্গে তার সামনে নেমে আসলেন, তাতে তার সঙ্গে তাঁদের দেখা হল৷
21 Now David had said, "Surely in vain have I kept all that this fellow has in the wilderness, so that nothing was missed of all that pertained to him. He has returned me evil for good.
২১দায়ূদ বলেছিলেন, “মরুপ্রান্তে অবস্থিত ওর সব জিনিস আমি বৃথাই রক্ষা করেছি, ওর সব জিনিসের মধ্যে কিছুই হারায় নি; আর সে উপকারের বদলে আমার অপকার করেছে৷
22 God do so to David, and more also, if I leave of all that belongs to him by the morning light so much as one who urinates on a wall."
২২যদি আমি ওর সম্পর্কীয় পুরুষদের মধ্যে এক জনকেও রাত সকাল হওয়া পর্যন্ত অবশিষ্ট রাখি, তবে ঈশ্বর দায়ূদের শত্রুদের প্রতি সেই রকম ও তার থেকেও বেশি শাস্তি দিন ৷”
23 When Abigail saw David, she hurried, and got off from her donkey, and fell before David on her face, and bowed herself to the ground at his feet.
২৩পরে অবীগল দায়ূদকে দেখার সঙ্গে সঙ্গে তাড়াতাড়ি গাধা থেকে নেমে দায়ূদের সামনে উপুড় হয়ে পরে ভূমিতে প্রণাম করলেন৷
24 And she said, "On me, my lord, be the guilt; and please let your servant speak to you directly, and hear the words of your servant.
২৪আর তাঁর পায়ে পড়ে বললেন, “হে আমার প্রভু, আমার উপরে, আমারই উপরে এই অপরাধ পড়ুক৷ অনুরোধ করি, আপনার দাসীকে আপনার কাছে কথা বলবার অনুমতি দিন; আর আপনি আপনার দাসীর কথা শুনুন৷
25 Please do not let my lord regard this worthless fellow, for as his name is, so is he. Nabal is his name, and folly is with him; but I, your servant, did not see the young men whom you sent.
২৫অনুরোধ করি, আমার প্রভু সেই অধার্মিককে অর্থাৎ নাবালকে গণনার মধ্যে ধরবেন না; তার যেমন নাম, সেও তেমন৷ তার নাম নাবল [মূর্খ], তার মনের মধ্যে মূর্খতা৷ কিন্তু আপনার এই দাসী আমি আমার প্রভুর পাঠানো যুবকদেরকে দেখি নি৷
26 Now therefore, my lord, as the LORD lives, and as your soul lives, since the LORD has withheld you from blood guiltiness, and from avenging yourself with your own hand, now therefore let your enemies, and those who seek evil to my lord, be as Nabal.
২৬অতএব হে আমার প্রভু, জীবন্ত সদাপ্রভুর দিব্যি ও আপনার জীবিত প্রাণের দিব্যি, সদাপ্রভুই আপনাকে রক্তপাতে জড়িয়ে পড়তে ও নিজের হাতে প্রতিশোধ নিতে বারণ করেছেন, কিন্তু নিজের শত্রুরা ও যারা আমার প্রভুর ক্ষতি করার চেষ্টা করে, তারা নাবলের মত হক৷
27 Now this present which your servant has brought to my lord, let it be given to the young men who follow my lord.
২৭এখন আপনার দাসী এই যে উপহার প্রভুর জন্য এনেছি, এটা প্রভুর সঙ্গে আসা যুবকদেরকে দিতে আদেশ করুন৷
28 Please forgive the trespass of your servant. For the LORD will certainly make my lord a sure house, because my lord fights the battles of the LORD; and evil shall not be found in you all your days.
২৮অনুরোধ করি, আপনার দাসীর অপরাধ ক্ষমা করুন, কারণ সদাপ্রভু নিশ্চয়ই আমার প্রভুর বংশ ধরে রাখবেন; কারণ সদাপ্রভুরই জন্য আমার প্রভু যুদ্ধ করছেন, সারাজীবন আপনার কোন ক্ষতি দেখা যাবে না৷
29 Though men may rise up to pursue you, and to seek your soul, yet the soul of my lord shall be bound in the bundle of life with the LORD your God. He will sling out the souls of your enemies, as from the hollow of a sling.
২৯মানুষ উঠে আপনাকে তাড়না ও হত্যার চেষ্টা করলেও আপনার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর কাছে আমার প্রভুর প্রাণ জীবন-বোচকাতে সুরক্ষিত থাকবে, কিন্তু আপনার শত্রুদের প্রাণ তিনি ফিঙ্গার জালে দিয়ে হত্যা করবেন৷
30 It shall come to pass, when the LORD has done to my lord according to all the good that he has spoken concerning you, and shall have appointed you prince over Israel,
৩০সদাপ্রভু আমার প্রভুর বিষয়ে যে সব মঙ্গলের কথা বলেছেন, তা যখন পূরণ করবেন, আপনাকে ইস্রায়েলের উপরে শাসনকর্তাপদে নিযুক্ত করবেন,
31 that this will have no cause of grief or a troubled conscience for my lord, that blood was shed without cause and that my lord has gained victory by his own hand. And when the LORD has done well with my lord, then remember your servant."
৩১তখন বিনাকারণে রক্তপাত করাতে কিংবা নিজে প্রতিশোধ নেওয়ার জন্য আমার প্রভুর শোক বা হৃদয়ে বাধা সৃষ্টি হবে না৷ যখন সদাপ্রভু আমার প্রভুর মঙ্গল করবেন, তখন আপনার এই দাসীকে মনে করবেন৷”
32 David said to Abigail, "Blessed is the LORD, the God of Israel, who sent you this day to meet me.
৩২পরে দায়ূদ অবীগলকে বললেন, “ধন্য ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু, যিনি আজ আমার সঙ্গে দেখা করার জন্য তোমাকে পাঠালেন৷
33 Blessed is your discretion, and blessed are you, that have kept me this day from blood guiltiness, and from avenging myself with my own hand.
৩৩আর ধন্য তোমার সুবিচার এবং ধন্যা তুমি, কারণ আজ তুমি রক্তপাত ও নিজের হাতে প্রতিশোধ নিতে আমাকে আটকালে৷
34 For indeed, as the LORD, the God of Israel, lives, who has withheld me from hurting you, unless you had hurried and come to meet me, surely there wouldn't have been left to Nabal by the morning light so much as one who urinates on a wall."
৩৪কারণ তোমার হিংসা করতে যিনি আমাকে বারণ করেছেন, ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বর সেই জীবন্ত সদাপ্রভুর দিব্যি, আমার সঙ্গে দেখা করতে যদি তুমি তাড়াতাড়ি না আসতে, তবে নাবলের সম্পর্কীয় পুরুষদের মধ্যে একজনও অবশিষ্ট থাকত না৷”
35 So David received of her hand that which she had brought him: and he said to her, "Go up in peace to your house. Look, I have listened to your voice, and have granted your request."
৩৫পরে দায়ূদ নিজের জন্য আনা ঐ সকল জিনিস তার হাত থেকে গ্রহণ করে তাকে বললেন, “তুমি নিশ্চিন্তে ঘরে যাও; দেখ, আমি তোমার কথা শুনে তোমাকে গ্রহণ করলাম৷”
36 Abigail came to Nabal; and look, he held a feast in his house, like the feast of a king. Nabal's heart was merry within him, for he was very drunk. Therefore she told him nothing, less or more, until the morning light.
৩৬পরে অবীগল নাবলের কাছে আসল; আর দেখ, রাজভোজের মত তার বাড়িতে খাওয়াদাওয়া হচ্ছিল এবং নাবলের মনে আনন্দ ছিল, সে খুব মাতাল হয়েছিল; এই জন্য অবীগল রাত থেকে সকাল হওয়ার আগে ঐ বিষয়ের কম কি বেশি কিছুই তাকে বলল না৷
37 It happened in the morning, when the wine was gone out of Nabal, that his wife told him these things, and his heart died within him, and he became as a stone.
৩৭কিন্তু সকালে নাবলের মত্ততা দূর হলে তার স্ত্রী তাকে ঐ সমস্ত ঘটনা বলল; তখন সে হৃদরোগে আক্রান্ত হল এবং সে পাথরের মতো হয়ে পড়ল৷
38 It happened about ten days after, that the LORD struck Nabal, so that he died.
৩৮আর দশ দিন পরে সদাপ্রভু নাবলকে আঘাত করাতে সে মারা গেল৷
39 And David heard, and he said, "Blessed is the LORD, who has taken my side in the matter of Nabal's insult, and has kept back his servant from evil. The LORD has returned the evildoing of Nabal on his own head." David sent and spoke concerning Abigail, to take her to him as wife.
৩৯পরে নাবল মরেছে, এই কথা শুনে দায়ূদ বললেন, “ধন্য সদাপ্রভু, তিনি নাবলের হাতে আমার কলঙ্কজনক বিবাদ শেষ করলেন এবং নিজের দাসকে খারাপ কাজ করা থেকে রক্ষা করলেন; আর নাবলের হিংসা সদাপ্রভু তারই মাথায় দিলেন৷” পরে দায়ূদ লোক পাঠিয়ে অবীগলকে বিয়ে করবার প্রস্তাব তাকে জানালেন৷
40 When the servants of David had come to Abigail to Carmel, they spoke to her, saying, "David has sent us to you, to take you to be his wife."
৪০দায়ূদের দাসরা কর্মিলে অবীগলের কাছে গিয়ে তাকে বলল, “দায়ূদ আপনাকে বিয়ের জন্য নিয়ে যেতে আপনার কাছে আমাদেরকে পাঠিয়েছেন৷”
41 She got up and bowed herself with her face to the ground, and said, "Look, your servant is a lowly servant to wash the feet of your servants."
৪১তখন সে উঠে উপুড় হয়ে ভূমিতে প্রণাম করে বলল, “দেখুন, আপনার এই দাসী আমার প্রভুর দাসদের পা ধোয়াবার দাসী৷”
42 Then Abigail got up quickly and rode on a donkey, and with five female servants following her; and she followed the messengers of David, and became his wife.
৪২পরে অবীগল তাড়াতাড়ি উঠে গাধায় চড়ে নিজের পাঁচজন কুমারী যুবতীদের নিয়ে দায়ূদের দূতেদের সঙ্গে গেল, গিয়ে দায়ূদের স্ত্রী হল৷
43 David also took Ahinoam of Jezreel; and they both became his wives.
৪৩আর দায়ূদ যিষ্রিয়েলীয়া অহীনোয়মকেও বিয়ে করলেন; তাতে তারা উভয়েই তাঁর স্ত্রী হল৷
44 Now Saul had given Mikal his daughter, David's wife, to Palti the son of Laish, who was of Gallim.
৪৪কিন্তু শৌল মীখল নামে নিজের মেয়ে, দায়ূদের স্ত্রীকে নিয়ে গল্লীমলের লয়িশের ছেলে পলটিকে দিয়েছিলেন৷
