Titus 2
1 But do you, on your part, speak what becomes sound teaching;
| ܐܢܬ ܕܝܢ ܡܠܠ ܡܕܡ ܕܝܐܐ ܠܝܘܠܦܢܐ ܚܠܝܡܐ |
2 that the older men be self-controlled, serious and sober-minded, sound in faith, in love, in patience;
| ܘܐܠܦ ܕܢܗܘܘܢ ܩܫܝܫܐ ܥܝܪܝܢ ܒܪܥܝܢܝܗܘܢ ܘܢܗܘܘܢ ܢܟܦܝܢ ܘܢܗܘܘܢ ܕܟܝܢ ܘܢܗܘܘܢ ܚܠܝܡܝܢ ܒܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܘܒܚܘܒܐ ܘܒܡܤܝܒܪܢܘܬܐ |
3 that older women likewise be reverent in demeanor, not slanderers or slaves to much wine, but teachers of what is right.
| ܘܐܦ ܩܫܝܫܬܐ ܗܟܢܐ ܕܢܗܘܝܢ ܒܐܤܟܡܐ ܕܝܐܐ ܠܕܚܠܬ ܐܠܗܐ ܘܠܐ ܢܗܘܝܢ ܐܟܠܢ ܩܪܨܐ ܘܠܐ ܢܗܘܝܢ ܡܫܥܒܕܢ ܠܚܡܪܐ ܤܓܝܐܐ ܘܢܗܘܝܢ ܡܠܦܢ ܫܦܝܪܬܐ |
4 They should train the younger women to love their husbands and children,
| ܘܡܢܟܦܢ ܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܛܠܝܢ ܕܢܪܚܡܢ ܒܥܠܝܗܝܢ ܘܒܢܝܗܝܢ |
5 to be sober-minded, chaste, workers at home, kind and submissive to their husbands, in order that God’s message be not maligned.
| ܘܢܗܘܝܢ ܢܟܦܢ ܘܩܕܝܫܢ ܘܢܗܘܝܢ ܝܨܦܢ ܫܦܝܪ ܕܒܬܝܗܝܢ ܘܡܫܬܥܒܕܢ ܠܒܥܠܝܗܝܢ ܕܠܐ ܐܢܫ ܢܓܕܦ ܥܠ ܡܠܬܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ |
6 The younger men exhort to be sober-minded; in every respect showing yourself an example of good works.
| ܘܡܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܛܠܝܢ ܗܟܢܐ ܒܥܝ ܕܢܗܘܘܢ ܢܟܦܝܢ |
7 In your teaching be serious and sincere.
| ܒܟܠܡܕܡ ܕܝܢ ܕܡܘܬܐ ܒܢܦܫܟ ܚܘܐ ܒܟܠ ܥܒܕܐ ܛܒܐ ܘܒܡܠܦܢܘܬܟ ܬܗܘܐ ܠܟ ܡܠܬܐ ܚܠܝܡܬܐ |
8 Let the instruction that you give be sound and above reproach, so that our opponents may be ashamed because they find no evil things to say about us.
| ܕܢܟܦܐ ܘܠܐ ܡܚܒܠܐ ܘܠܐ ܐܢܫ ܒܤܪ ܠܗ ܕܐܝܢܐ ܕܩܐܡ ܠܩܘܒܠܢ ܢܒܗܬ ܟܕ ܠܐ ܢܫܟܚ ܕܢܐܡܪ ܥܠܝܢ ܡܕܡ ܕܤܢܐ |
9 Exhort slaves to be obedient to their own masters, and to be well- pleasing to them in every respect;
| ܥܒܕܐ ܠܡܪܝܗܘܢ ܢܫܬܥܒܕܘܢ ܒܟܠܡܕܡ ܘܢܫܬܦܪܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܗܘܘ ܡܥܨܝܢ |
10 not to contradict nor pilfer, but to exhibit praiseworthy trustworthiness in every thing, that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.
| ܘܠܐ ܗܘܘ ܓܢܒܝܢ ܐܠܐ ܢܚܘܘܢ ܫܪܪܗܘܢ ܛܒܐ ܒܟܠܡܕܡ ܕܢܨܒܬܘܢ ܒܟܠܡܕܡ ܝܘܠܦܢܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܡܚܝܢܢ |
11 "For God’s grace has shined forth bringing salvation to all men
| ܐܬܓܠܝܬ ܓܝܪ ܛܝܒܘܬܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܡܚܝܬ ܟܠ ܠܒܢܝܢܫܐ ܟܠܗܘܢ |
12 And schooling us to renounce impiety and evil passions, And to live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present age; (aiōn g165)
| ܘܪܕܝܐ ܠܢ ܕܢܟܦܘܪ ܒܪܘܫܥܐ ܘܒܪܓܝܓܬܐ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܘܢܚܐ ܒܥܠܡܐ ܗܢܐ ܒܢܟܦܘܬܐ ܘܒܟܐܢܘܬܐ ܘܒܕܚܠܬ ܐܠܗܐ (aiōn g165) |
13 While we look for the blessed hope and epiphany of the glory of our great God and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
| ܟܕ ܡܤܟܝܢܢ ܠܤܒܪܐ ܒܪܝܟܐ ܘܠܓܠܝܢܐ ܕܬܫܒܘܚܬܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܪܒܐ ܘܡܚܝܢܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ |
14 He gave himself for us to redeem us from all iniquity, and to purify unto himself a people zealous of good works."
| ܕܗܘ ܝܗܒ ܢܦܫܗ ܚܠܦܝܢ ܕܢܦܪܩܢ ܡܢ ܟܠ ܥܘܠܐ ܘܢܕܟܝܢ ܠܢܦܫܗ ܥܡܐ ܚܕܬܐ ܕܚܤܡ ܒܥܒܕܐ ܛܒܐ |
15 Thus speak, exhort, reprove with all authority. Let no one despise you.
| ܗܠܝܢ ܡܠܠ ܘܒܥܝ ܘܟܘܢ ܒܟܠ ܦܘܩܕܢ ܘܠܐ ܐܢܫ ܢܒܤܐ ܒܟ |
