Romans 1
1 From Paul, a slave of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, set apart for a gospel of God,
प्रेरित हुनको निम्ति बोलाइएका र सुसमाचारको कामको निम्ति अलग गरिएका, येशू ख्रीष्टका दास पावल ।
2 which through his prophets he promised beforetime, in holy writings;
उहाँले आफ्ना अगमवक्ताहरूद्वारा पहिले नै पवित्र धर्मशास्त्रमा प्रतिज्ञा गर्नुभएको सुसमाचार यही हो ।
3 this gospel is concerning his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who was born of David’s posterity in respect of his bodily nature,
यो शरीरअनुसार दाऊदको वंशबाट जन्मनुभएका उहाँका पुत्रको बारेमा हो ।
4 but was by his resurrection from the dead instated as Son of God, with power, in respect of his spirit of holiness.
मृतकहरूबाट पुनरुत्थान हुनुभएर उहाँलाई पवित्रताको आत्माद्वारा शक्तिशाली परमेश्वरका पुत्र हुन घोषणा गरिनुभएका उहाँ हाम्रा प्रभु येशू ख्रीष्ट हुनुहुन्छ ।
5 It is through him, even Jesus Christ our Lord, that I received grace and apostleship to promote obedience to the faith among all the Gentiles, for his name’s sake;
उहाँको नाउँको खातिर सबै जातिमाझ विश्वासको आज्ञाकारिताको निम्ति हामीले उहाँद्वारा अनुग्रह र प्रेरितको सेवा पाएका छौँ ।
6 among whom you also are called to be Jesus Christ’s.
यी जातिहरूमध्ये तिमीहरू पनि येशू ख्रीष्टका हुन बोलाइएका छौ ।
7 To all that are in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints. May God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ, bless you, and give you peace.
यो पत्र रोममा भएका सबैका निम्ति हो, अर्थात् परमेश्वरका प्रियहरू जो पवित्र जाति हुन बोलाइएका छौ । हाम्रा परमेश्वर र प्रभु येशू ख्रीष्टको अनुग्रह र शान्ति तिमीहरूमा रहोस् ।
8 First I thank my God, through Jesus Christ, for all of you, because your faith is being proclaimed throughout all the world.
पहिले, तिमीहरू सबैका निम्ति येशू ख्रीष्टद्वारा म परमेश्वरलाई धन्यवाद चढाउँछु, किनकि तिमीहरूको विश्वास सारा संसारभरि घोषणा गरिएको छ ।
9 God is my witness, to whom I render holy service in my spirit in the gospel of his Son, how unceasingly I am ever making mention of you in my prayers,
किनकि म तिमीहरूको नाउँ कत्तिको लिइरहन्छु भनी परमेश्वर मेरो साक्षी हुनुहुन्छ । उहाँका पुत्रको सुसमाचारमा म मेरो आत्माले (जोसका साथ) उहाँको सेवा गर्छु ।
10 always entreating him that now at length, if such be his will, the way may be made clear for me to come to you.
परमेश्वरको इच्छाद्वारा जसरी भए पनि म तिमीहरूकहाँ आउन सफल हुन सकूँ भनी म सधैँ मेरो प्रार्थनामा अनुरोध गर्छु ।
11 For I am longing so to see you, in order to impart to you some spiritual gift, so that you may be established;
म तिमीहरूलाई भेट्ने इच्छा गर्छु, ताकि तिमीहरूलाई बलियो बनाउनको लागि म तिमीहरूलाई केही आत्मिक वरदानहरू दिन सकूँ ।
12 that is, that I with you may be encouraged by you, each of us by the other’s faith, yours and mine.
अर्थात् तिमीहरू र मेरो एक-अर्काका विश्वासद्वारा म पारस्परिक रूपमा प्रोत्साहित हुने उत्कट इच्छा गर्छु ।
13 I want you to know, brothers, that many a time I have planned to come to you - though until now I have been hindered - so as to have some harvest-fruit among you also, even as I have among the rest of the Gentiles.
मैले प्रायः तिमीहरूकहाँ आउने इच्छा गरेँ भन्ने कुरामा तिमीहरू अनभिज्ञ होऊ भन्ने म चाहन्नँ, तर मलाई अहिलेसम्म रोकिएको छ । मैले बाँकी गैरयहूदीहरूका माझमा झैँ तिमीहरूका माझमा पनि केही फल पाउनको लागि यो चाहेको हुँ ।
14 To Greeks and to barbarians, to the cultured and to the uncultured, I have a debt to discharge.
म यहूदीहरू र विदेशीहरू, बुद्धिमान्हरू र मूर्खहरू दुवैप्रति ऋणी छु ।
15 So much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you also who are in Rome.
त्यसैले, मेरो हकमा म तिमीहरू रोममा हुनेहरूलाई पनि सुसमाचार घोषणा गर्न तयार छु ।
16 FOR I AM PROUD OF THE GOSPEL. IT IS GOD’S SAVING POWER FOR EVERY ONE WHO BELIEVES. FOR THE JEW FIRST, AND ALSO FOR THE GENTILE.
म सुसमाचारको निम्ति शर्माउँदिनँ, किनकि यो विश्वास गर्ने सबैको निम्ति परमेश्वरको मुक्तिको शक्ति हो, पहिलो यहूदी र त्यसपछि ग्रिकहरूका निम्ति ।
17 FOR IN IT IS BEING REVEALED A RIGHTEOUSNESS WHICH PROCEEDS FROM GOD, FROM FAITH UNTO FAITH; AS IT IS WRITTEN.
किनकि यसैमा परमेश्वरको धार्मिकता विश्वासबाट विश्वासमा प्रकट गरिएको छ, जस्तो लेखिएको छ “धर्मीहरू विश्वासद्वारा नै जिउनेछन् ।”
18 For God’s wrath is ever being revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who smother the truth by their unrighteousness.
किनभने सबै भक्तिहीनता र मानिसहरूको अधार्मिक्ता विरुद्ध परमेश्वरको क्रोध स्वर्गबाट प्रकट भएको छ जसले भक्तिहीनताद्वारा सत्यतालाई रोकेको छ ।
19 This is so because that which may be known of God is manifest among them; for God has made it manifest to them.
यो परमेश्वरबारे अज्ञात भएको कुरा तिनीहरूलाई दृश्य भएको हुनाले हो । किनभने परमेश्वरले तिनीहरूलाई प्रकाश दिनुभएको छ ।
20 For ever since the creation of the world his invisible nature, even his everlasting power and divinity, has been clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made. So they have no excuse. (aïdios g126)
किनकि संसारको उत्पत्तिदेखि उहाँका अदृश्य पक्षहरू स्पष्ट रूपमा दृश्य भएका छन् । ती सृजिएका थोकहरूद्वारा बुझिएका छन् । यी पक्षहरू उहाँको अनन्त शक्ति र ईश्वरीय स्वभावहरू हुन् । परिणामस्वरूप, यी मानिसहरूलाई कुनै बहाना छैन । (aïdios g126)
21 For although they knew God, yet they did not glorify him as God, nor give him thanks; but became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless minds were darkened.
यो तिनीहरूले परमेश्वरलाई चिनेर पनि तिनीहरूले उहाँलाई परमेश्वरको रूपमा महिमा नदिएकाले गर्दा भएको हो । बरु, तिनीहरू आ-आफ्नै विचारमा मूर्ख भए, र तिनीहरूका अचेत हृदयहरू अँध्यारो बनाइए ।
22 While they professed to be wise, they became fools,
तिनीहरूले बुद्धिमान् भएको दाबी गरे, तापनि तिनीहरू मूर्ख नै भए ।
23 and exchanged the majesty of the imperishable God for an idol, graven in the likeness of perishable man, or of birds and four-footed beasts and creeping things.
तिनीहरूले अविनाशी परमेश्वरको महिमालाई नाश हुने मानिस, चराचुरुङ्गी, चार खुट्टे जनावरहरू र घस्रने जन्तुहरूको प्रतिमासँग साटे ।
24 So God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their own bodies;
त्यसकारण, परमेश्वरले तिनीहरूलाई अशुद्धताको निम्ति अर्थात् तिनीहरूका बिचमा नै तिनीहरूका शरीरको अनादर होस् भनी तिनीहरूका हृदयका कामबासनामा नै छाडिदिनुभयो ।
25 because they exchanged the truth of God for an untruth, and worshiped and served the creature, rather than the Creator who is blessed forever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
परमेश्वरको सत्यतालाई झुटसँग साट्ने र सदासर्वदा प्रशंसा गरिनुपर्ने सृष्टिकर्तालाई आराधना गर्नुको सट्टा सृष्टि गरिएका थोकहरूको सेवा गर्ने तिनीहरू नै हुन् । आमेन । (aiōn g165)
26 That is why God has given them up to passions of dishonor; for on the one hand their women actually changed the natural function of sex into that which is against nature;
यसैले, परमेश्वरले तिनीहरूलाई लाजमर्दो अभिलाषाहरूमा छाडिदिनुभयो, किनकि तिनीहरूका स्त्रीहरूले प्राकृतिक स्वभावलाई प्रकृति विरुद्धको अस्वाभाविक कार्यहरूसँग साटे ।
27 and on the other hand their men likewise abandoned the natural use of women, and were ablaze with passion for one another; men with men practising shameless acts and receiving in their own person that recompense of their wrong-doing which necessarily followed.
त्यसै गरी, पुरुषहरूले पनि स्त्रीहरूसँगको स्वाभाविक कार्यलाई छोडे, र एक-अर्काप्रतिको कामुकताले जले । पुरुषहरूसँग अश्लील कार्य गर्ने र तिनीहरूका भ्रष्टताअनुसारको दण्ड पाउने पुरुषहरू यिनीहरू नै थिए ।
28 And just as they refused to continue to retain God in their knowledge, so did God cast them out to an outcast mind, to do those things which were indecent.
तिनीहरूको सजगतामा पनि तिनीहरूले परमेश्वर हुनुभएकोमा सहमत नभएका हुनाले उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई तिनीहरूका निम्ति अनुचित कुरा गर्नलाई भ्रष्ट मनमा छोडिदिनुभयो ।
29 They were overflowing with every kind of iniquity, depravity, greed, and malice. They were full of envy, murder, quarreling, deceit, and malignity.
तिनीहरू अधार्मिकता, दुष्टता, लालच, र द्वेषले भरिएका छन् । तिनीहरू ईर्ष्या, हत्या, कलह, छल र दुष्ट विचारले पूर्ण छन् ।
30 They became whisperers, back-biters, hated of God, insolent, haughty, boastful. They invented sins. They were disobedient to parents.
तिनीहरू कुरौटे, निन्दा गर्ने, र परमेश्वरलाई घृणा गर्नेहरू हुन् । तिनीहरू हिंस्रक, घमण्डी र अहङ्कारी छन् । तिनीहरू दुष्ट थोकहरूका आविष्कारकहरू हुन् र आफ्ना आमाबुबाप्रति अनाज्ञाकारी भएका छन् ।
31 They were without sense, without faith, without natural affection, without mercy.
तिनीहरूमा समझ छैन, तिनीहरू अविश्वासयोग्य, स्वाभाविक प्रेमविनाका, र कृपारहित छन् ।
32 Though they knew well the ordinance of God, that those who practise such vices are worthy of death, they not only continue to do the same, but were even applauding those who practise vice.
यसो गर्नेहरू मृत्युका भागीदार हुन्छन् भन्ने परमेश्वरको नियमलाई तिनीहरू जान्दछन् । तर तिनीहरू यी थोकहरू गर्ने मात्र होइनन्, तिनीहरू यसो गर्नेहरूसँग सहमत पनि हुन्छन् ।
