Romans 12
1 I entreat you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies to Him as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God. This is your reasonable service of worship.
Por tanto, hermanos, los exhorto por las misericordias de Dios a que presenten sus cuerpos como sacrificio vivo, santo, agradable a Dios, [lo cual] es su adoración racional.
2 And be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God. (aiōn g165)
No sean moldeados por este mundo, sino sean transformados por la renovación de la mente, para que comprueben la voluntad de Dios, la cual es buena, aceptable y perfecta. (aiōn g165)
3 For, through the grace that was given to me, I tell every man among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but so to think, as to think soberly, according to the measure of faith which God has given him.
Por la gracia que se me dio, digo a cada uno de ustedes que no tenga más alto concepto de él mismo que el que debe tener, sino que piense con buen juicio, según [la] medida de fe que Dios asignó a cada uno.
4 For even as we have many members in one body, and not all members have the same function;
Porque así como en un cuerpo tenemos muchos miembros, pero no todos los miembros tienen la misma función,
5 so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and we are severally members of one another.
así nosotros, que somos muchos, somos un cuerpo en Cristo, e individualmente miembros los unos de los otros.
6 But we have gifts differing according to the grace which was given to us. He that has the gift of prophecy, let him prophesy according to the proportion of his faith.
Como tenemos diferentes dones, [debemos practicarlos] según la gracia que se nos dio. Si es de profecía, [debemos practicarlo] según la proporción de la fe;
7 If it is the gift of administration, let us give ourselves to our service.
si es diaconía, en el servicio; el que enseña, en la enseñanza;
8 Let the teacher give himself to his teaching; and he who exhorts others to his exhortation. He who gives, let him do it in singleness of mind. He who rules, let him rule with diligence; and he who shows mercy must be cheerful.
el que exhorta, en la exhortación; el que da, con liberalidad; el que dirige, con diligencia; el que practica misericordia, con alegría.
9 Let love be without insincerity. Abhor what is evil; wed yourselves to what is good.
El amor sea sin hipocresía, aborrezcan lo malo, apéguense a lo bueno.
10 As for brotherly love, be tenderly affectionate one to another, in honor preferring one another.
Dedíquense unos a otros con amor fraternal. En cuanto a honor, prefiéranse unos a otros,
11 In your diligence be free from sloth. Be glowing in spirit. Slave for the master.
en cuanto a diligencia, no perezosos. Sean fervientes en espíritu y sirvan al Señor.
12 Rejoice in hope; be patient under affliction; continue stedfast in prayer.
Regocíjense en la esperanza, permanezcan firmes en la aflicción, persistan en la conversación con Dios,
13 Be liberal to needy saints. Practise hospitality.
contribuyan para las necesidades de los santos, persigan la hospitalidad.
14 Bless your persecutors, bless, and curse not.
Bendigan a los que [los ]persiguen. Bendigan y no maldigan.
15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.
Gocen con los que gozan, lloren con los que lloran.
16 Have full sympathy with one another. Set not your minds on high affairs, but associate with lowly folk. Do not be wise in your own conceits.
Sientan lo mismo los unos hacia los otros. No sean altivos, sino asóciense con los humildes. No sean sabios según su propia opinión.
17 Do not pay back evil for evil. Aim to do what is honorable in the eyes of all.
No paguen a nadie mal por mal. Respeten lo bueno delante de todos [los] hombres.
18 If it be possible, so far as it lies with you, be at peace with all men.
Si es posible, en lo que depende de ustedes, estén en paz con todos [los] hombres.
19 Never revenge yourself, beloved, but leave the field clear for God’s wrath; for it is written, "Vengeance is mine, I will repay," says the Lord.
No se venguen ustedes mismos, amados, sino den lugar a la ira [de Dios]. Porque está escrito: Mía es la venganza. Yo pagaré, dice el Señor.
20 On the contrary, therefore, If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him drink; for by so doing you will be heaping burning coals on his head.
Así que, si tu enemigo tiene hambre, dale de comer. Si tiene sed, dale de beber. Porque si haces esto apilarás carbones encendidos sobre su cabeza.
21 Do not be overcome by evil, but be overcoming evil with good.
No seas vencido por lo malo, sino vence el mal con el bien.
